Poetry READ!

This is not exactly related to poetry, but I want to see if any of you can decipher this...

Ladies and Gentlemen,
I stand before you to stand behind you,
to tell you a story I know nothing about,
In the graveyard one night two soldiers rose from their graves to duel each other,
Back to back they faced each other,
drew their swords and shot each other,
If you dont believe this story is 100% true,

Ask the blind man....He saw it too.

Find what this little saying is really trying to say.

*Background info- this saying was made by the American troops during WW2

hmmm
I'm kinda shaky at deciphering but I'll give it a try....
"Blind man" could see then went blind...or was probably one of the ones who fought...
"shot"...they actually fought...
"swords" could mean any weapon (such as a gun) but during WW2...they could be foriegners...
"Back to Back"...like in a wild west death scene...or proper duel etiquette...
and "stand before you to stand behind you" has to be support.....
Atleast I think that's what it interpretes to...I'm not too sure, but I'm probably wrong.......
