Hey guys. Just to let you know that Pokemon games like Pokemon Colosseum, XD, X And Y, or Ultra Sun And Ultra Moon are even released from USK 0. That’s because USK 0 is the main USK rating for Pokemon games in general like Pokemon Omega Ruby And Alpha Sapphire or Sun and Moon. But Pokemon Sword And Shield is released from USK 6. So either there are complex texts, vulgar language or vl voice output was rated?

Definitely there will be a reason, I am curious if this will be experienced.

Generation 6 even rough story content such as betrayal or something that USK requires… Who knows…

Imagine Pokemon Sword would be USK 0 and Pokemon Shield USK 12, that would be weird. Definitely because of the Dynamax Pokemon (because they can be scary big), Pokemon Sword & Shield are the games from USK 6. But there you have to ask the people there.

For me personally, I think it's appropriate if Sword & Shield gets a USK 6 rating if I believe what tone they are going for and to understand why, you have to understand why I think SM and USUM should've got a USK 6 rating. The subject matter explored there and the story as a whole was definitely far darker than previous entries but it's still maintains a good amount of lightheartedness that this is still a game for kids, so a USK 12 rating does seem a bit far off. I believe the Pokemon series should be up there with your Breath of the Wild's, Super Mario Odyssey's or your Splatoon 2's which have USK 12, USK 6, and USK 6 ratings respectively. It's strange that SMUSUM does not have a USK 6 rating considering that I believe it's at the very least darker than Super Mario Odyssey and to an extent, Splatoon 2 in both subtle and obvious ways. Considering that USK doesn't seem to really delve deeper in the Pokemon games based on these grounds unless it can be a spin-off like PokePark 2, and yet Sword & Shield will have a USK 6 rating due to Dynamax even though it's directed by Shigeru Ohmori who helped created the darkest generation of the Pokemon series and that there's a lot of sinister tones and clues hinted about Sword & Shield from the website, trailers and rumors have been given to us. Now this is what I’m talking about. Man, I love USK 6. Best USK rating for Sword & Shield. Anyway…

With the most recent information on Pokemon Sword And Pokemon Shield not only the leak was confirmed, but thanks to the updated chart, we now know the USK rating of the two Pokemon games for Nintendo Switch. So, here we have the first mainline Pokemon games released by the rating of USK 6.

The two titles were classified as spin-offs like Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon, Pokemon Rumble World, Pokemon Rumble U and Pokemon Rumble Blast – all of them launched with the USK 6 rating. Pokken Tournament and the extended version Pokken Tournament DX even received approval of USK 12.

Of course, we do not know why the panel opted for this, but we can well presented by the cinematographic staging, which is Dynamax.

And there you have it. Pokemon Sword And Shield are the first main series Pokemon games which have been granted a rating of USK 6 in Germany. To be honest, I’m really glad that Pokemon Sword And Shield deserves a USK 6 rating. Pokemon games should've got USK 6 ratings and yet Pokemon Sword And Shield were lucky enough to receive one. Good job, GameFreak and USK. No more USK 0 for mainline Pokemon games. Anyway, Pokemon Sword And Shield will be out for Nintendo Switch on November 15. Please look forward to pick them up.

1. Paul

He's always calling Ash pathetic, when really, HE'S the one who's pathetic. He's nothing but a selfish, snotty, stuck-up, heartless, and cruel jerk. I can't stand him one bit. Once when I watched the episode "When Pokémon Worlds Collide" and Paul said to Ash "You sound just like a little kid." my response was "He's only 10, and what's your excuse?" He doesn't deserve to be a Pokémon trainer because he never even showed any respect to any of his Pokémon or was ever nice to them. He was especially cruel to poor Chimchar when it was still with him always putting it through tough battles...
