We are taking a trip to Florida to visit family and friends. We were getting ready to leave to catch our flight and I was packing my suitcase. I shut the door behind me and went downstairs to get in the car. When I got inside the car, Blanket was arguing with dad about putting in a movie in the dvd player. Dad said it's only a fifeteen minute ride to the airport so there is no sense in starting a movie. Blanket replied sayig, "I want to watch the Spongebob Squarepants movie". Dad gave in and gave him the movie. When we got to the airport, Blanket was whinning because he didn't get to watch the whole movie. Dad said, "Take my hand and stop complaining please". Blanket took his hand and we headed towards our terminal. We were seated on the plane first class. Prince and I sat in the two seats to the left side of the aisle and Blanket, Paris and Dad sat on the right side of the aisle. It took us three and half hours to get to the other airport in Florida. When we got there it was around three o'clock. It was another ten minute ride to our friends house. When we got there Dad's friends Lily and James answered the door. We all said hello and exchanged a few gifts. Dad and Lily had a big conversation about her trouble conceiving a child. I went outside because I was bord. I saw a boy mowing the lawn. I went back inside and asked James who the boy was. James said "That was Jake a boy they hired to mow there lawn once a week". I said "Oh", and went back outside. I couldn't see the boy very clearly because he was wearing a black sweatshirt with the hood over his head. I walked up to him. I could tell he was listening to an MP3 player. I heard him singing a few lyrics to Smooth Criminal. I said, "Hi". He jumped, and turned around. Looking down at the ground I said, "Sorry I didn't mean to scare you". He removed his hood and I lifted my head. Are eyes met. In my opinion he was one of the most handsome guy I have had ever seen. He had blonde hair with streaks of dirty blonde. He had ocean blue eyes. He took out his hand from his pocket and said "hi, I'm Jake Collinsworth". I shook his hand with my sweaty palms and apologized about them. I then said, "Why are you wearing a sweat shirt in this 90 degree weather?". He said, "Because I don't like having a tan". I said, "I heard you singing a Michael Jackson song. You know I like him alot to. (not hinting to him that he was my father) I said, "Come inside with me I want to show you something". When we got to the sliding glass door he removed his sweatshirt and revealed his six pack abs. I quickly to a peek at his abs and then looked away. He said, "Woe I'm glad to have that thing off, it was like a sauna". I said, "Oh, you forgot a t-shirt". He said, "Yeah". I opened the sliding glass door and let him walk in before me. I walked into the family room where everyone was sitting except Prince, Paris and Blanket. My dad was looking at James next to him and didn't notice Jake. I said, "Dad". He turned around to face me. As soon as Jake realized who he was he began to studder and said, "hello". Jake and dad had some what of a conversation in the kitchen area with me as well. Jake explained how my father had changed his out look on life, and his apreciation for what he does have. Then Blanket came downstairs and said, "Wow you have muscles like spider man!" Then Jake excused himself because he had to finish cutting the lawn. We all waved good bye and my dad thought nothing of it.

My dad didn't know that Jake and I exchanged phone numbers. At about three o'clock Jack called me. I answered the phone and said, "Hi Jake, what's up?" He said, "Well I was kind of hoping I could take you on a date tonight". Then he began to studder, and said, "That's only if your dad doesn't mind." I said, "I'm sure he won't." I hung up the phone and went to the kitchen where my dad was. I said, "Dad Jake just called me and he kind of.... asked me on a date tonight". He glanced up at me from his newspaper and raised his eyebrows chuckling under his breath. I impatiently anticipated an answer from him. He finally said "Yes but be careful you don't know this boy". I called Jake back and told him to pick me up around five o'clock. Later that night Jake's parents pulled up and I got inside the car. Before they drove away my dad came out and asked Jake to come talk to him for a minute. When Jake came back my dad patted him on his shoulder and said "Remember what I said Jacob". We pulled up to a family run icecream parlor. We went inside and Jake's parents said they would be back at seven thirty. Jake and I each ordered a chocolate and vanilla twist cone. We went outside and walked around the neihbor hood area and began to talk about our lives and what we have been through. Jake asked me what having Michael Jackson as a father was like. I said, "He was always a great father but strick especially with me". I took a bite of my ice cream and got some on my upper lip. I said, "Did you grab napkins back there?" He said, "No but I think I know a way I can get it off." He leaned over.......and KISSED ME!!!!!!!! When we parted I began to blush. I was thinking to myself...wow my first kiss, I never knew how magical it would be! Later on Jake's parents pulled up and we got inside the car. He reached over and held my hand. I felt so special inside that it gave me butterflies. The car ride was kind of quit and awkward because Jake's parents were in the car. When we pulled up in front of Jame's and Lily's house I said goodbye to Jake and went inside. When I closed the door I saw my dad sitting in a chair. He looked up at me and said, "How did it go?" I hid my face trying not to blush, but my dad noticed. He said, "What did you guys do?" in a very easy going manner. I sat down on the couch and said, "Listen, I hope you are not mad that Jake sord of gave me a kiss". His mouth dropped but followed by a smile. He started to laugh and I took a sigh of relief. I said, "What's so funny?" He started to turn red from laughing so hard and said, "I never thought you would actually do it, because of how much of a tomboy you are". He said, "What did it feel like to have your first kiss?" I said, "I'm not going to lie to you dad but it was amazing. Everything I thought it would be and more". He laughed again and said, "Yeah my first kiss was like that to". I said, "You know dad I'm just curious as to what you said to Jake when you asked him to talk to you." He said, "I told him he could kiss you if he wanted to but to play it cool and not go all out". I said, "Well that must have been the reason you laughed so hard". I began to chuckle, and headed upstairs to bed.
