"Oh." I said. Now my tears were falling like rain drops. My heart broke in half, then again in quarters, then again into eighths. Who was she? When did they meet? How did they meet? My head was swarming with questions that I couldn't answer.
"I'm sorry."
"I, I, I have to go." I said trying to mask my tears. I failed miserably.
"Elle-" Prince said detecting my crying. I hung up. He called back, I didn't answer. He left a message. I couldn't bare to listen to it.
By this time I was practically sobbing, laying on my bed and eating ice cream. Paris came and tried to console me. Eventually I just felt pain and sorrow, but didn't cry.
"Tell me about her." I asked Paris.
"Are you sure you want to know?" I nodded my head in response. "Well, she's dull. She's not fun. She doesn't do anything at all. She's lazy. Blanket and Jaafar hate her. She's not ugly but she's not gorgeous. You're ten times prettier than her, and I'm not just saying that. I don't think that Prince and her are going to last for long. They are two different people." I just stared off in the distance.
"How's Prince?" I barely whispered.
"I don't know. He's not happy. When he was with you, he'd always laugh and smile but now he's boring." A tear ran down my face, again.
"I have to go. I'm sorry." Paris said frowning. "Bye. Feel better hun." She closed the car door and I waved good-bye.
A week passed by since Prince broke up with me, and eventually I didn't care anymore. I was back to my normal self, smiling and happy again.
I was growing closer to Kyle by the second. We were hanging out all the time just having fun. I started to get feelings for him.
After a day of surfing , I went to check the mail. It was an invite for Jaafar's birthday. It said I could bring one other person if I wanted to. I automatically asked Kyle and he said yes. Great. I could get back at Prince while having a blast with my best friend! The plan was perfect.
The day of the party came fast. I wore the prettiest dress I could find and curled my hair into waves. As I was looking through my wardrobe, I found Prince's hoodie. I sighed. I have to return it to him today along with the bracelet. I grabbed it as I walked out of the house with Kyle. As we arrived to the Jackson's house, Paris greeted me at the front door.
"Hey Elle! And you must be Kyle!" Paris said. Prince walked around the corner with the girl. I pretended like I didn't see him and continued to flirt with Kyle.
"Your hair is all messed up!" I said giggling and sweeping it back into place. Prince just stared at us while the girl was talking. "Jaafar! Happy birthday!" I yelled as I embraced him in a long hug.
After we had dinner and were all dancing to music, Kyle went to get us something to drink. I quickely realized that Prince was alone and decided it was the perfect time to give him his stuff back.
"Umm here's your hoodie." I said as I shoved it in his arms. "Oh, and here." I said giving him the bracelet back.
"Elle, I'm sor-"
"Save it." I said walking away to Kyle.
"What was that about?" He asked.
"Just had some unfinished business."
"I'm sorry."
"I, I, I have to go." I said trying to mask my tears. I failed miserably.
