Random Role Playing Indigo Children (Reboot) [OPEN/NO CHARACTER LIMIT]

kittyluv57 posted on Aug 27, 2014 at 12:34AM
((Well . . . I was pretty bummed that this died before we could get to the horror part. So, I'm redoing it! But this time, it's a little different . . .))

((I have decided that there won't be a character limit on this one. As long as you can think of a way to start them off without rushing them unrealistically into a situation, then you can join or make a new character whenever you wish.))

"Indigo Children, according to a pseudoscientific New age concept, are children who are believed to possess unusual, unique, and sometimes supernatural traits or abilities. the interpretations of this concept range from their being the next stage of human life, to the simple belief that they are more creative and empathetic than their peers."

They took you away so young. You've been somewhere quiet all your life, somewhere they could keep an eye on you. Sometimes they lock you in a room, sometimes they perform tests on you. Sometimes, when you're good, they let you go outside a little and see the sunlight, or they give you a big book to read. If you're extremely lucky, you'll catch a glimpse of one of the other subjects. You know why they do it though. You've always known why. You are different, special, you do not belong with normal people.

There are alot of stories and myths around this facility, that somehow glide from child to child. Never walk past mirrors in the dark, so bloody Mary won't come out and hurt you. If you think the blue Angel's real name during the tests they do on you, he will protect you from harm. Be sure to shut all your doors and windows at night, or the shadow man will come and get you. Things like that.

Most of the older subjects know these are made up to help keep the subjects in line. But recently, some have been coming true. A girl who walked past a mirror at night was found mangled in the hallway. A child who always cracked his door open at night mysteriously disappeared. All of a sudden, the people working at the facility packed up and moved everyone and everything to a different location. It was almost as if they were scared of something.

One night, a dream follows you out into the waking world. You can't remember it, but it's still there, bleeding into the shadows. It's quiet out in the hallway, and everything is dark. The scary guards are nowhere to be found. The smaller children are cowering in the corners. Dark stains splatter the walls, all the doors and windows are locked, and a dark, murderous air hangs around everything. Where did everyone go? Why does everything feel so . . . wrong?

About the rp:

*I am not yet 100% sure where this idea will go yet, so I will be extremely happy to incorporate any ideas you guys will have to offer. Feel free to make suggestions! Otherwise, I'll explain the basic idea of what will happen once we get started, and we'll build off of there.
*You will be playing a fairly young person who was taken to this big government facility at a very young age. The place houses about 50 children at a time, from all over the world. The facility and staff themselves are a mixed experience. Some of it is nice, and some of it is horrible. Your character has the potential to see it as a safe-haven from the outside world, or as a prison where children are kidnapped and experimented on.
*In general, none of these characters will have gone outside much, so feel free to play around in the brain of someone who's been weirdly isolated for a big chunk of their life. This facility does not have an overarching goal aside from the study of "indigo children"; So you get to choose. Your character might be being trained up for specific projects, maybe even as a government weapon. Or, they may have been pretty much left alone in their room the whole time. It could vary from child to child.
*You do not have to play a character that believes in the stories described above. But if you want to, you are welcome to make up other stories, urban legends, myths, superstitions, etc. that your character (and maybe other characters) could believe in.
* warning: THIS IS A HORROR RP! If you are not prepared for blood, gore, horrid experiments, ghosts, monsters, and possible death, I suggest you leave this place, NOW!

Rules and regulations:
*No god mod. I will of course be allowing powers, but they are limited.
*Mature stuff like blood, gore, and swearing is allowed, and very slightly encouraged.
*however, NO SEX! I just don't want that here. Sex mixed with horror is so cliche, don't you agree?
*I will allow a little romance in general. But please don't go over board with the swooning and mushy shit like that.
*please be creative, and DO NOT USE ONE LINERS! I ask that you use more than three sentences when roleplaying here, Kay?
*GRAMMAR! I'm sorry if I seem cruel, but I cannot and will not stand it in my rps when every other word is misspelled, every sentence is slurred together, etc. It doesn't have to be absolutely and utterly perfect, just . . . Watch it. Okay?
*try to have fun!

Character sheet (anything not labeled optional is required.)

Name:

Nicknames: (optional. These would most likely some sort of key name, whether cruel or fitting, that the scientists and other subjects have chosen to call you by.)

Experiment ID number:

Gender:

Age: (please put them from ten to eighteen. Keep in mind that most people were brought to the facility well before they turn eight. Also remember that this will include murder, horrible government experiments, shadow monsters, etc. So only play a ten year old if you're hyped to play a creepy, potentially disturbed ten year old.)

Appearance: (picture and/or description is fine.)

Special features: (optional. Scars, tattoos, horns, etc.)

Personality: (optional. If done, it must be longer than a few words. That's a few traits of a personality, not a real one.)

Power: (Each character may have ONE special power. It can be anything you want, as long as it's not something involving some sort of godmod, like insta-killing. Also, there will be nothing such as imitating other powers. In this rp, that's cheating, since it allows you to have several powers instead of one. So none of that.)

Drawback: (your powers must have a serious drawback in the beginning. Examples: A telekinetic that can't lift anything over five pounds. A pyrokinetic that accidentally starts fires if they get too freaked out. Someone who can see dead people, always, whether they want to or not. Nobody has full control in this place.)

Biography: (at least 5 full length sentences. This should also contain information about their life at the facility, since not only have they been here since childhood, but we won't be starting out normally. We'll be jumping straight into the horror.)

Goal: (does your character want to achieve acceptance? revenge? Find love? Escape and find freedom from the facility? Or even something entirely different?)

Relationships: (okay, this is just a little extra feature I thought up. Basically, here you are allowed to put your character's opinions about the other characters as they are made. You may even discuss what you want your characters to think of each other over message if you want.
Remember all the characters will only have been actually introduced once or twice. Besides that they might have caught glimpses of each other around the facility. First impressions and rumors can be deceiving . . .)

Misc.: (optional. any extra hobbies, crushes, interests, etc.)

I will let you know if your character fits the rules of the rp, and only then can you join.

((Might as well reuse a character, too . . . I was very proud of her for some reason . . .))

Name: Amitola Elizabeth Hart

Nicknames: She is only ever known as 'Animal' or 'The Animal' by almost everyone around the facility, and it's not exactly a friendly name.
Close friends or actual acquaintances might call her 'Amy' or 'Lizzy', and she will sometimes refer to herself as 'Ami-san'.

Experiment ID number: AH2140

Gender: female

Age: 16

Appearance: Picture
Amitola is very skinny looking, most likely due to the fact that she often either forgets to eat, or absolutely refuses. Perhaps due to the experiments she is irregularly tall, considering she was petite as a child, standing at almost 6' 2". She has extremely long, snow-white hair going down to her knees that she's never cut in her life. It's almost always up in a sort of messy bun in order to keep it out of her face and off the floor. Her eyes are a shimmering, icy blue color. Her skin is very pale, almost porcelain. Due to her obsession with perfection, she always make sure every little bit of her looks just the way she wants it. This, combined with her pale skin and emotionless face around people, makes her look almost like a living doll. She always wears a fuchsia colored ribbon-like collar with a golden bell on it around her neck.

Special features: due to her powers, Amitola's most noticeable feature is the black cat ears and tail that are almost always sticking out of her head and lower back. They react just like real cat features, swiveling towards noises and moving depending on the situation.

Besides this, Amitola has a huge amount of blackish-Brown colored scars covering her body. Her neck has two scars on either side of her neck that are an inch apart in front and back, there are scars like these on both of her wrists as well. Her left shoulder has three scars running from the bottom of the back of her shoulder to the top of her collar bone and one scar similar to it on her right shoulder. Three large scars are on the outside of her right thigh and to scars on her left thigh similar to the ones on her neck and wrists. Both of her sides have a scar that go from her back to her stomach and are six inches apart in front and back. Her largest scar is on her back and goes from her right shoulder blade down to her left hip. Besides these there are many smaller versions of these scars that are about 3 inches long dotting her entire body except her face. She constantly insists on wearing long sleeves, pants, and even turtle necks in order to hide these scars.

Personality: Amitola tends to have many sporadic and random mood swings. The scientists tried put her on medication to help keep her more calm, relaxed, and focused, however, the effectiveness of this medicine seems to vary as much as her mood. Sometimes it seems as though she has multiple personalities with how changing and drastic her changes in mood are. She also has extreme anger and trust issues. When she gets angry she has to be tied down and medicated due to her volatile aggression and sudden bloodlust. Her trust issues are just a part of her not wanting to be close to anyone around her. She adores animals and always has. Her life seems to revolve around being alone, animals, training her body and mind, and learning as much as she possibly can about anything and everything. When she is around others she may seem quiet and reserved, even emotionless, preferring to keep to herself and let others do what they will. But when she's alone it's an entirely different story. She will instantly perk up into a happy and slightly hyper mood, and begin to talk, argue, and carry on full-length conversations with herself, sometimes it seems as though there are more than four people in the room with how many sides there are. She is overly paranoid about people being behind her or staring at her too long. Amitola had a severe psychotic break when she was only seven, causing her to be more ruthless and detached from emotion. She believes that she is completely insane, which to most people would be true, but she has just a more unique look on life which makes her think that she is crazy. She also has homicidal and suicidal thoughts and tendencies when she is off her medication. She often fakes most of her emotions, she puts on an amazing facade when she feels it necessary.

Power: Animal Mimicry: Amitola can imitate the traits and abilities of whatever animal she chooses, this can even include mythical ones as long as she has enough information about them. Often the ears and tail will pop out according to whatever animal she's mimicking. It is even possible for her to entirely assume the form of that animal, although she hasn't explored this very much yet.

Drawback: Perhaps Amitola's biggest issue is that she can't turn her power off. At the moment her ability is highly unpredictable, often changing around depending on her mood swings. She does her best to imitate a cat most of the time since that's the most comfortable form, and it can help balance out her mood swings to a calming state when she tries to focus on just a cat. But more often than not her ears and tail will change around anyway, it's very hard to control. This ability tends to heighten her moods as well and make her feel certain emotions much stronger than usual, making her very difficult to handle.

Biography: Amitola was an only child, and she is half-Japanese, half-American. Although although her parents lived in America she was born in Japan. Her mother (Aiko Hart) was visiting relatives, and happened to go into labor at that time. She was a kind caring and sweet person who had been trying to conceive for almost three years, and who planned to give her first baby the best home a child could possibly ask for. But Amitola's father (Harold Hart) . . . He was a different story. He was a cold sarcastic person, often making jokes about things that weren't necessarily supposed to be joked about, and looking down on people of lower status than himself. But he was almost never home, and that was for a reason: He was a leading scientist at the facility of the indigo children. For a long time he had worked in there, but he wanted to take it farther than anyone else had before. But despite his high position his colleagues refused, thinking his ideas to be far too drastic and harmful.

Amitola came a week early. As a baby she had raven black hair, and sparkling emerald green eyes. It was a difficult birth, and Aiko ended up dying of shock and extreme blood loss in the process. It was believed that she might be orphaned, until her family's records were looked at. And so, Amitola was left to the devices of her cruel father. Harold was devastated, even though he almost never saw his wife anymore. He was disappointed in his child, considering he had wanted a boy, and seemed to blame her for the fact that he no longer had a wife, even though he somehow quickly got over Aiko's death. He saw Amitola more as a pet he was being forced to take care of instead of a human being. He didn't care for her, never did, and only applied her needs in order to keep up his reputation. So when Amitola developed a very special ability at an extremely young age (about 7 months), he saw this a perfect chance to turn his only daughter into a new test subject to try his previously rejected insane experiment ideas.

He would have to wait until she was stronger, of course. Already though, Amitola didn't like her father. The way he watched her with a hungry look in his eye sometimes, The odd things he did to her ears, tail, and body sometimes, and the fact that he never played with her unless he absolutely had to. Amitola was a very lonely baby. And even when her father did come for her she would sometimes cry and shy away. She never got the love that a baby should have gotten.

By time Amitola had turned two, her father Harold decided he couldn't wait any longer. She was healthy, she was developing properly, there was no reason why he shouldn't start the experimenting now. He didn't bother to pack many of her things, just some clothing and food. With that, he transported her daughter to his private lab placed not too far from the Facility. It was there that it began. Amitola's father put her through extremely intense and painful physical, mental, and emotional tests, which traumatized her almost to a breaking point. She was scarred badly enough that eventually, her black hair turned snow white, and her green eyes paled to a light icy blue. Sometimes she tried to struggle, but all that happened was she got yelled at, sometimes beaten, and had extra testing done.

After a few years, Amitola had stopped protesting. This was the only life she had, all she knew was pain, testing, and silence. The entirety of her days were spent locked up in her father's lab in which there were no windows, no toys, no books, no nothing. She knew absolutely nothing of the outside world or what it was like. By time she was five Amitola had become entirely submissive. She learned everything her father wanted her to learn, did everything he wanted her to do. It was an empty, fruitless existence. She no longer knew who she was, or why. She was almost entirely emotionless at this point, she spoke in a monotone and made stiff movements almost like a robot. But deep inside, she wanted to learn. She wanted to know exactly what was outside these metal walls and find out absolutely everything as soon as she could. Hundreds of emotions and thoughts swirled around inside her little heart and mind, but she'd been taught that these emotions were worthless and that she shouldn't struggle.

But it wasn't long before she snapped.

It was her seventh birthday, and her father and entered the lab earlier than usual in older to give her a 'birthday present', which was really a new test he had been perfecting. Unable to take the mental and physical strain anymore at such a young age, Amitola suddenly lashed out at him. At first it was just a normal temper tantrum, with kicking, screaming, what you'd expect from an average seven year old. But suddenly, it turned worse. She was screaming at the top of her lungs, grabbing at his face and trying to scratch it off, she bit his shoulder and drew blood, pumping with sudden newfound adrenaline and rage She jumped at him with immense strength. Her father was caught unawares by this sudden change, allowing her to knock him to the ground. By this point Amitola's ears and tail had become golden and rounded, her nails had grown and sharpened, her strength had increased. She was unconsciously mimicking a lion. Her father did manage to push her off at one point, because now she was distracted by something new: a scalpel. While her father began to call for help, she darted forward, grabbed it, and stared at it gleefully like it was some new toy. She then proceeded tackle her father again knocking the phone out of hid hand, and dug the scalpel into his left shoulder as hard and deep as she could. She pulled it out and dug it in again, straight into his eye. Over and over again she stabbed him, laughing like an utter maniac, until he was finally dead.

But the call had gone through. Four of Harold's colleagues came bursting into the room, and gasped at the sight. Harold was lying spread out on the ground bleeding profusely from almost all parts of his body, dead. And Amitola was sitting on top of him with the scalpel in her hand and her head thrown back, still laughing. In a hurry backup was called, and Amitola ended up being up carted off in a straitjacket to her new home in the facility.

Amitola liked it better at the facility. The scientists saw the potential in her power, and tried more than once to train her up to be obedient and useful. But it was when she arrived at the facility that Amitola's mood swings began to become extremely strong. Her ability would often go out of control when you forced her into doing something and she was extremely hard to control. So after a while they chose to abandon that and try other things with her. But what Amitola really loved was that they let her learn. she absolutely devoured the first book they gave her, and she taught herself how to read. She became obsessed with learning absolutely everything that was possible to learn. But not all was happy and sunshine at this facility. There were still horrid, painful experiments, alot of which made her scream. They would often punish her when she went out of control, which was never fun. The medication they made her take didn't always work, so exploring her mood-sensitive power was extremely hard. In her nine years here Amitola has had many tests done to evaluate her mental state, but no sure result has emerged yet.

Overtime, she became very feared and avoided by many of the other subjects. All the scientists did was take her book away by force and place her in a room with another subject immediately afterwards for a mere five minutes . . . That subject is no longer here. She has severely injured several other subjects as well due to her anger issues, causing many to avoid her and always refer to her as 'The Animal'. Nowadays much hope for her being any use has been abandoned, although she still has dozens of tests done. She has been left alone, and spends much of her time in her room trying to learn as much as she can, and trying not to damage her things when her mood swings out of control.

((Yeah, you don't have to make your bio as long and complicated as that . . . I just love making them, is all . . .))

Goal: It seems that Amitola's ultimate goal is to achieve perfection in all aspects of her life. She wants to reach physical and mental perfection, master her ability, and learn everything there is to know in existence. A childish hope, but one that keeps her going.
But she also strongly desires freedom from this place she was forced to call home, and has dreamt several times of killing as many people as needed to escape.
But deep in her heart, her biggest desire is to discover someone who will truly love her for who she is, so that she'll finally get to experience that emotion.

Relationships: Jack: Amitola has seen Jack around the facility a few times before, and even been introduced by the workers once. She honestly thought he was kind of funny, with those long, wavy things sticking out of his head, and the way he floated around and disappeared reminded her of the ghost stories the scientists let her read sometimes. For now, she just sees him as a funny little acquaintance, although he seems to be rather wary of her.

Nino: Amitola is slightly interested by Nino, since she's never seen anyone who can't see before. She remembers her saying at one point that Amitola let her see several things, so sometimes while she reads a book she'll remember Nino and wonder if she can see the book, even though she can't because of the distance limit. She's confused about why Nino is always locked up.

Mentis: Mentis is the subject that Amitola has interacted with the most, and his effect on her is a little . . . Odd. It brings about extreme mood swings, more than usual. Sometimes the sight of him makes her extremely happy, sometimes he makes her very angry and murderous for no reason, and once she even burst into tears while talking to him and couldn't explain why. This is most likely due to her muddled memories of her father mentioning him, or hearing conversations between Menmis and Harold. Part of her sees him as a long-lost brother, part of her hates him for stealing her only family member's affection, and another part just feels sad because she never got to experience the love her had.

Jaquelyn: Amitola is extremely confused by the so-called 'crying girl'. Her facial expressions never match up with her body, and she's always trying to search out hugs. But when Amy tries to play with her, she always runs away for some reason . . .

Tenai: Amitola hasn't met Tentai, as of yet, although her powers do sound interesting, and she's hoping to meet her one day so she can add those powers to her great amount of knowledge.

Evangeline: Amitola is slightly fond of Evangeline. She finds it amusing to watch her pull things out of the little paper she can find, and she's one of the few people ho goes out of her way to be nice to Amy, despite the fact that everyone else is so scared of her. Besides, she thinks her dresses and such are cute.

Misc. She loves learning, animals, physical training, mental training, puzzles, challenges, reading, writing, learning new languages, music, art, cooking, and acting. She has so many hobbies that it is hard for her to not enjoy her free time. Amitola also has a highly overactive imagination, she can live in her own world in her mind for days if she really wants to. Her imagination tends to lean towards a darker path when she is asleep, she has what most would call the most terrifying nightmares, but she calls them happy little dreams. When she does have a nightmare that scares her she will wake up screaming and crying in a cold sweat, then try and fall back asleep, constantly looking around her room. She also can't go more than five minutes without her ratty old blue blanket and white and blue stuffed dog that she has had since birth, it was a gift from a Japanese cousin that her father let her keep while he was still alive. The bell on the collar she wears hardly ever makes a sound, and it is uncertain why. when she gets the chance, she loves to eat meat and fruit the most, also drinking mostly milk and soda. Amitola truly believes in spirits and ghosts as well as most of the horrifying stories and myths that have been told for generations, she is highly superstitious and paranoid about such things. Due to her constant reading and learning, she now speaks and writes English, Spanish, French, Mandarin Chinese, Jin Chinese, Japanese, and an odd native American language she picked up from a book.

((I'm sorta glad you re-made this, i lost complete track last time cause i had too many characters! now i can try again! :3 but this time, ONLY ONE CHARACTER FOR ME! I'll be re-using Jack))

Name: Jack (Family Unknown)

Nicknames: Ghost, Lorem, Black Jack.

Experiment ID number: GJ-7445

Gender: Male

Age: 17

Appearance: Pic

Special features: his eyes glow in the dark, which he can't control.

Power:
Ghost
-That's the summary, Jack is capable of passing through things and possessing objects, and any type of scarf-like thing he wears, he can use as Soul tethers, with includes Chains, necklaces, or ties. he also has flight, however his Soul tether needs to be phasing through something.

Drawback:
Just like regular Ghosts, Jack can't pass through Enth metal, also, if his Soul tethers are grabbed, he becomes Paralyzed from the neck down, also, he can possess things, but not people, and any object he posses, when damage is done to the object, he will take damage too. the other drawback would be his eyes, they glow without his consent, which can give him away. also, his Tethers sometimes have a mind of their own, and he is only capable of having 2 tethers. once he chose what the 2 will be, he cannot change it. for example, if he chose 1 of those scarfs, and the tie, he can't switch it, but if he changes clothing, like removing the tie and replacing with a necklace, then he can choose the other scarf, but if the tie returns, the tie will become the Tether.

Biography:
Brought here 9 years ago, Jack lived his life escaping from the facility, finding corners or places where they hadn't placed Enth metal, it wasn't until he turned 14 when his eyes begun glowing, and every now and then, he hears the voices of Ghosts, sometimes he even sees them in mirrors, but not to his naked eye... that was 3 years ago... lately he's been talking to himself... or... to someone?.... but anyway, he seems to get along pretty ok with everyone, except the scientists, always being cheeky, as if they could never touch him or something like that.

Anyway, his life before the Facility, he started at an Orphanage, as his real parents disappeared off the map... by any and all traces, even their national records ceased to exist after they gave him to the orphanage, his blood isn't in the database, he has no relatives... truly a ghost. you could say the closest thing to family he has is anyone in this facility.

Goal:
Jack has 2 goals.
1st: escape the Facility
2nd: find his parents, and kill them.

Relationships:
Jack's relationship with Amitola isn't the best nor the worst, Jack see's her as a potential friend, and enemy. her power seems to be of little threat to him, that's only if she doesn't learn of a ghost-type creature to turn into, other than that. she's pretty ok.

Jack find amusement with Nino, the poor blind girl doesn't seem to notice him... AT ALL, he finds amusement in sort-of haunting her, but other thn that, she's just another liability. though for some reason, she doesn't notice his existence.

Mentis was a sort-of friend to Jack, they both seemed to have something to talk about, and exchanged a few laughs here and there. but jack felt a bit weary of Mentis... which usually meant either a Telepath, Pyrokinetic, or Aquakinetic.

Jack hasn't met Jaquelyn, nor seen her.

Tenai seemed like a good girl, she wouldn't be a problem to Jack, and she even seemed friendly, she seemed to have an obsession with powers. but at least now he knew he could play chess with someone... maybe if he escaped he might play a match with her.

Evangeline is like a ghost to Jack. ghosts aren't real(irony)

Strange little kid... think his name was Marin, he tried to touch me at one point, but he passed through, just like the others. seemed he wanted to find out what my power was. after he found out, he seemed happy... well, he'll be fine as long as he doesn't stop me.

Misc.:
he likes to try and practice using his tethers.
he doesn't actually know he can posses objects just yet.
He never really removes that Jacket, mainly cause every time he gets a new tether, he's not used to how it feels, nor how it works, so he becomes clumsy.

(Is this acceptable?)

As for your character, the only thing I'd ask you to remove is the fact that he's a medium, since that technically would mean he has more than one power. Other than that, he looks fine.))

Name: Nino Lyn Hugh

Nicknames: she is often known as the seeker or the looker by most of the people in the Facility.

Experiment ID number: ND- 7309

Gender: Female

Age: 16

Special features: he left hand will twich when using her powers or when she is feeling an emotion other than calm.

Personality: Nino is a scared girl who through out her life has found it hard to trust anyone. Especially when she came to the facility. the Guards, the tests and the story's moulded her into a twisted little girl. she's a psychopath always talking to her self and not noticing the others.

Power: she can look into peoples eyes and see what they see and have there emotions and feeling flow into her after a small delay. i know that this sounds stupid but its how she is able to get around the facility so well and tell what kind of test she was going to get. (the people must be within 10 metres and not have something in-between her and that person e.g. a wall. but one the connection is in place they can be walls and stuff in the way but only a 10 metre length).

Drawback: she is almost blind. her power has costed her eye sight to the extent of her not being able to make out proper shapes and colours that are more than 2 feet away. If the person she is seeing through becomes 10 metres away from her she looses there sight and regains her own. She has to make contact with the person she wants to see from. (The contact can be a piece of string or her hand, it doesn't matter how but it needs to be made). If the person she has Linked with begins to lose control over their emotions the Link will break and cause her to rebound away from whom she was linked to.

Biography: Nino cant remember any life other than the facility. she was the lucky one in the facility due to her being able to watch TV and see the outside wold through other peoples eyes. when the facility noticed this they gave her complete isolation so she couldn't see anything. she spent 9 years alone and in darkness confused and scared by the sounds she could hear but couldn't see were they were coming from. when the sounds slowly stopped she became even more scared, she would hear screaming and panting every now and then. when she would be taken out of her room she could be bothered to look around and instead learnt how to deal with the Tests that they would put her through. when they would let her out to eat she only ate the bare minimum to survive and headed straight back to her room making as little contact as possible. she is to afraid to have a convocation with someone in fear of rejection.

Goal:
goal 1: to summon the courage to talk longer than a quick "hello and good bye" convocation.
Goal 2: make a friend
Goal 3: leave this place
Goal 4: try get my sight back

Extra: she knows her way around the facility pretty well due to her power taking her places that are "off limits".

Relationships:
Amitola: She is fond of Amitola most for she has allowed her to read and see many things. she feels as if she knows her best for she has lived in her eyes and understood how she sees things. And its thanks to her that she is able to speak a few words in multiple languages, she practises them frequently in hopes that she might get the courage to have a full convocation with her.

Jack: Niño hasn't been able to meet him or see him due to her eye sight.

Mentis: niño has only seen through his eyes once but she regrets what she saw. He is in pain and has so much grief.....nags never wants to meet him.

Jaquelyn: Nino hasn't seen her nor really heard from her.

Tenai: Nino attempted to see through her eyes once but found that she couldn't see through them once the connection was made. she is interested as to why this happend.

Evangeline: Nino has heard of her and caught glances through other peoples vision but has never talked to her.

Marin: Nino has never met him

((Well . . . She seems okay. But she wouldn't have been able to see the outside world, technically, since there's not exactly any subjects who go outside the walls. Also, I think 30 metres (98 ft.) is a bitt extensive . . .

And she couldn't be locked up the ENTIRE time, she needs to eat, and there's not a single subject here who isn't taken out to be tested on at least once a month.

And for relationships, that's your character's personal opinion on all the other individuals. Like I said, she would have to be taken out to eat and be tested on, and 98 ft. is a bit extensive.))

Name: Mentis Domoni

Nicknames: Dameon, Body Snatcher, Twin

Experiment ID number: MD2129

Gender: Male

Age: 16

Appearance: Pic

Personality: After taking the body of his brother he is riddled with guilt for what he did. not only that but the dreams he gets at night are not his own, they are the dreams of others in this facility. Most of them have nightmares that causes Daemion to wake up screaming in fear. Despite all this he is determined to break out of this facility and to help any of the other patients.

Power: Telepathy

Drawback:

When he sleeps he see's into the minds of others and is forced to experience there nightmares, sometimes when he uses his telepathy for to long he gets distracted by the voice of his brother, this brings back bad memory's witch may lead to panic attacks. Other times when he uses his telepathy to much he can get terrible migraines witch can lead to him falling unconscious.

Biography:

He and his twin brother were 6 years old when it happened. His family were on a holiday to America from Australia, just himself, his mum, his dad and his brother. He and his brother had a very strong connection with each other, they would never lie to one another, never betray one another and always have each others backs. When they were younger it was almost like they could have entire conversations with each other without saying a word, most people, himself included, just chalked it up to some weird twin thing. They were always close to one another, But then they were kidnapped.

It was late at night and his family were sleeping in some sleazy motel out in the middle of no where, they were staying the night since his parents wanted to see if they could drive to area 51 in Navada. It was the worst decision they had ever made, it was also their last. Some thugs in masks broke into his room and knocked out his parents before providing him and his brother with the same treatment.

He woke up in a garage or something, it was dark, dank and smelt like piss. He looked around and found that his parents had woken before him and had been beaten severely. After the first day the kidnappers eventually found that they couldn't ransom His family to anyone in the states so they decided to use him and his family as their personal punching bags. They tortured them for about a week before something happened. Eventually the must of gotten bored with his family, because then they began to kill them.

First his dad who died screaming through a gag. A few days later his mother was tortured to death after falling unconscious. it must have been in the second week, but it seemed that no matter what they did to his brother the scars healed, the limbs grew back and cuts closed up. the torture they were dealing to Mentis was getting more intense, he knew they were going to kill him soon.

Eventually his body started dying, he knew it, But his mind refused to accept reality. It saw that this body was dying and by instinct it found a new one, this new body was the most compatible, one that he had a strong connection with to make the transaction easier. It was his brothers body.

He blanked out but was eventually awoken by gunfire, regaining his consciousness he was greeted with the sight of his dead body, everything else was being blocked out, the sight of his dead body was all he could see. Until eventually you were snapped back into reality by a strange man 'Professor Harold Hart' he didn't know how he knew the man's name he just did. He was being followed by to guards, looking around he then noticed that all the torturous were dead. Professor Hart had greeted him, telling Mentis the name he already knew and took Mentis to a new place to live.

Over the course of the year allot of things happened. Professor Hart took him to a laboratory where he looked after him, occasionally performing tests on him, on one occasion The Professor had even said "you are like the son i never had". Mentis had liked having someone to talk to especially after his family was killed, he had started gain the power to read minds. Using this power he learn that he had a daughter who was not being treated as nice as he was. eventually one day Professor Hart left the lab and didn't come back. Later some people came for him and took him to somewhere they called `the facility` that was 9 years ago, he has not been outside since he was 6, he last saw Professor Hart when he was 7.

Relationships:

jack: Mentis thought that jack was good for some laughs but was also interested by him since he cant read him mind, the most he can do with his telepathy on Jack is sense his presences.

Amitola: Mentis knew Amitola through the memories of Professor Hart, he feels like Amitola and He had allot in common. They were both in great pain before they ended up in the facility. He knows that she is very fragile mentally and doesn't like to invade her mind to often for fear of doing more damage than has already been caused and it seems at night it is always her nightmares he visits.

Nino: Jack knows what Nino thinks about jack, he also knows about her power. It intrigues him. Ever since Professor Hart had found him he had been interested by powers and did some research on them, her power seems like something akin to omnipotence albeit massively restricted.

Jaquelyn: out of everyone in the facility Mentis knew he could trust Jaquelyn, not only was it because it was a traight of her personality but also because she and him had the same ideals and goals for the most part. when he saw her memories he felt sorry for her, he knew what it was like to lose a limb. before he entered his brothers body they had chopped of a few limbs. he was considering communicating telepathically with her.

Tenai: Mentis had found that Tenai had a very unique power but her past and psyche was relatively plain, but despite that he would like to meet her to help her accomplish her goal of making a book on every power in the facility, since he had an extensive knowledge on super human ability.

Marin: Mentis found Marin's brain really... weird, whenever he goes into his brain it reminds him of that one time that some scientists gave him LSD to see what would happen. Everything was all over the place, it was really disturbing. Due to this fact Mentis doe's not know much about Marin

Evangeline: Mentis has seen her around the facility, only a few times but she seem's really nice, and he knows that she thinks the same of him. Her power is very fascinating, Artistic creation, which is the name of the power, has the capability of being an incredibly powerful power. Also Mentis is slightly jealous at Eva's ability to draw since his Mentis is such a bad artist that even his stick figure's look bad.

Goal: Help others and to escape the facility

Misc: Nor he or any of the scientists that try and 'persuade' him to use his powers know the full extent of his powers since Mentis refuses to do anything to peoples brains past reading their thoughts, it is speculated that the amount of power he has could be incredible since he can permanently take over the mind of another.
If Mentis pushes his powers to hard he will begin to hear the thoughts of his brother who is somewhere deep in his mind. When he meets someone new he will already know their names due to his telepathy. Since he gained the power of telepathy he researched super human ability's extensively to the point he would know the name of just about any power, and for powers that don't have name he could easily give names to.

Name: Jaquelyn Paige Wilson

Nicknames: Jaquelyn prefers to go back Jack or Jackie, since she dislikes the fancy sound of her full name. By listening in a conversations going on behind doors, she managed to figure out that the facility workers had given her the name of 'Pale Ethereal'. But many subjects tend to refer to her as 'The Crying Girl'.

Experiment ID number: PE74635

Gender: female

Age: 17

Appearance: Picture (IGNORE THE FOX EARS AND TAILS!! And also that weird, sinister expression, she's nothing like that.)
Jack is 6' 1", and weighs 142 lbs. She's tall, flat-chested, and utterly lacking in curves. She has dull, lifeless eyes that are a color right between gold and brown, making for a sort of honey shade, and she has short blonde hair that's kept cut well above her shoulders. Although she never exactly looks that animated, her eyes usually express one of two very strong emotions; sadness and hatred, which is understandable to a certain point given her situation.

Special Features: Her arm. Jackie almost always tries to keep some kind of oversized coat on in order to hide it. Her true arm ends a little below the shoulder, giving way to a ghastly appendage. It looks to be a highly deformed, slightly grotesque looking arm with a pale blueish-gray color. This 'arm', when touched, seems neither solid, nor liquid, nor air, and the scientists believe it to be made entirely of pure psychic energy.
If someone tried to feel her arm then their hand would only pass through, and they would most likely feel an odd sensation and a slight chill. There are scars on her remaining arm's wrist which were very noticeable when she first entered the facility, but they've faded some overtime.

Personality: As mentioned in the appearance section, Jaquelyn's entire face tends to always be very dull and lifeless. However, this doesn't mean she is emotionless, for she makes all her feelings very clear through her tone of voice and actions. Most of these said emotions tend to fall somewhere between sadness and anger, with happiness being a rare feeling for her. She'll sometimes feel a spark of this emotion when she's around the other test subjects. But this company is hardly ever granted to her due to her insistence on fighting the workers in whatever way possible. Usually this just means refusing to comply with orders or thrashing around when someone approaches her. But on the rare occasion that she is allowed to see her fellow prisoners she will seem less rebellious and more broken, instantly trying to mingle as much as possible with them. This isn't because she's a social butterfly like Evangeline, it's only because she needs attention. During much of her time with others she will feel desperate for physical affection and will often try to worm her way into an embrace, staring at the ground sadly if none choose to receive her. A few times she even starting sobbing quietly, but requested to be taken back to her room as soon as it started, thus her nickname 'Crying Girl'. If you had to sum her up she would just be 'a sad puppy dog desperate for attention'.

Power: Jackie can manifest telekinetic energy through her deformed psychic arm, allowing her to interact with objects from a distance just like any other TK. It seems that she might even be able to use this ability to bend light and sound waves, although this is still in development.

Drawback: While she can easily take hold of small or light objects, big or very heavy objects are thus far impossible for her. Maybe not so much impossible, but rather too painful for her to handle. Moving objects causes Jaquelyn to feel shots of pain in her phantom limb where she would normally feel nothing. Small objects only cause a dull sting that she's usually able to overcome due to years of practice. But the pain intensifies as the object becomes larger and/or heavier. Constant usage has a similar effect, causing the pain to slowly but surely build up until she can't take it anymore. Either way, she will eventually fall unconscious or just become incapacitated for a while. Testing has been painful, if it even needs to be said.

Biography: Jaquelyn was born into a decently large family, with two older brothers, and one younger brother who would come later, making her the only girl. Her parents were normal, caring parents, constantly chasing after the children. It was just your average everyday family, with your average everyday rowdy boys and average everyday tomboy. She was raised in a town populated mostly with God-fearing Christians with strong moral values. Overall life was as natural as it could possibly be.

Growing up as the only girl certainly had an effect on Jaquelyn. She was constantly joining in with her brother's rowdy fun, and would often sneak out after them. Perhaps it was here that she developed her want for attention, seeing as she developed what was almost a brother complex, always wanting to be near them, do what they were doing, and have their eyes on her. She was very disappointed when her baby brother was born at the age of 6, thereby drawing their attention away from her. But she still played well on her own and loved adventuring and climbing trees.

One day she went too far. Jaquelyn had gone with her older brothers to visit a little park near their house. Directly behind this park was a huge forest, one that was said to stretch over several miles. It was full of twisting paths, all sorts of animals, and a few poison plants. Even her father had gotten lost in their for a while, and her parents had always warned them, "Never go into the forest without mommy, daddy, or another adult." Jack, being the childish rebel she was, thought it would be fun to enter the forest anyway and explore. So while her older brother got themselves involved in a game of zombie tag, she carefully slipped away.

At first it was fun. The tall trees, cool sounds, and wild smell in the air, it felt like a dream come true to Jaquelyn. She had a vague idea of finding a shortcut to her house, building a tree house with her brothers, and making mommy and daddy proud because she'd made it on her own. But such things never last. It didn't take long before Jack was completely and utterly lost. She stumbled through that forest for hours, as the trees grew thicker, the sky got darker, and she grew farther and farther away from home. It wasn't until the sun had almost gone entirely down before she finally stopped walking, Sat down, and began to cry

But then she had an idea. There were plenty of trees here, right? Maybe if she climbed one of them, she could see a way out of the forest. It reminded her of the pirates on Saturday morning cartoons, climbing the mast to spy out at the top. Invigorated by these imaginings, Jaquelyn set out to find a tree. But of course, she just HAD to pick the tallest tree she could possibly find. Scaling it was hard, but she made it almost entirely to the top. But she was disappointed. By this point it was too dark for her to see anything any more. And even if she'd had light all she would have seen was miles of nothing but forest. The tears came again, and Jackie had given up. Bit them, there was crack, a bang, a loud screech, and down went Jack, the branch having broken under her weight. She had a feeling someone would save her, like in cartoons, but she was wrong. Jackie hit a lower branch at full force before toppling to the ground. It broke her left arm almost in half at the top, and sliced it open on the bottom.

For a whole two days Jaquelyn wandered through that forest, stumbling, starving, in extreme pain, and sobbing the whole time. But her parents had sent out for help long ago, and it was the police that found her. She had somehow done a U-turn and made her way to the south west corner of the forest, and that was where she was found. They were shocked to see her broken arm, which could hardly even be called an arm anymore. It was broke almost in half, swollen and throbbing in shades of red and nasty green, while oozing blood and yellow puss. Jackie was instantly rushed to the hospital, and her parents were notified immediately.

The infection had spread too far and it was reported that Jaquelyn's arm would have to be amputated immediately if she was expected to live. The whole experience was both physically and mentally traumatizing, not to mention emotionally stressful on her parents. Jackie spent days in the hospital after that, recovering in both mind and body. Perhaps it was this extreme dose of emotion, pain, and mental strain that caused her psychic arm to develop. It started only a few days after finally being sent home. At first it was just a few wisps of pale blue smoke that seemed to center themselves around where her wrist used to be. But it soon began to grow. A grotesque shape resembling an arm had begun to form around her amputated stump in the form of some unidentifiable wispy substance. At first Jack did her best to hide it using long sleeves and coats. But once it formed a hand and objects began to pass through it, her family found put. They were utterly appalled.

As soon as the arm finished forming, then other odd happenings took place. Small objects like pencils and rocks would suddenly move around on their own, and Jaquelyn discovered that sometimes she could control where they went. And then the rumors began. As Christian and well-meaning as this town was, everyone in it was very superstitious, including Jackie's family. They couldn't explain this odd ethereal arm their daughter had formed, nor could anyone else in the town. Jackie wasn't allowed to go outside anymore, and questions were being thrown at her family each day. Eventually her parents declared her touched by the devil. They were scared, they didn't know what to do. So after some arguing her mother agreed to let her father lock her in their old wooden shed.

Jaquelyn spent almost two months locked up in that she'd, with her parents sending in little cans of food three times a day through a small hole in the wall. Jackie was cold, scared,,and lonely. She wanted to be loved again and to get her normal life back. And that's when "they" came . . . The men in white coats. She remembers them knocking on the door, and unlocking it while she cowered in the corner. It took a while for them to convince her to come out but she did it in the end. They promised her a new life, they promised her that everything would get better soon. But that was a lie.

In truth, Jaquelyn's parents had called the facility and told them about their daughter's ethereal arm. And as soon as she got there the years of pain and punishment began. She hated this place. Growing up away from her family and friends, while being forced to try and use her power and being tested on every other day wasn't her idea of "better." Jackie despised the workers and did as much as she could without getting severely punished to fight against them. But it was all to no avail. Nothing ever happened, nothing ever would.

With each passing year Jaquelyn has grown sadder, angrier, more hopeless. As bad as it is though she still hasn't quite accepted defeat. She still does everything in her power to resist the workers, even if her hope of escape has dwindled to almost nothing.

Goal: Jaquelyn isn't sure what she wants more, her freedom, or to see her captors die a slow and painful death.

Relationships: Nino: Jaquelyn honestly thinks next to nothing of Nino. She always seems to shy away from Jackie, as well as all the other children, so she can never manage to get close enough to her for a hug. The scientists seem to keep her locked away as well, so there's not really very many chances to meet her anyway.

Amitola: Jaquelyn, like almost all the other subjects, is rather scared of Amitola, almost terrified. She always seems to speak in the form of different people, and Jackie can never tell which one she's going to meet next. Not only that, she once saw Amitola in her angriest form being subdued by the facility workers, which only stiffened her resolve to stay away.

Tenai: Tenai seemed nice enough when Jackie first met her, and her power was interesting, at any rate. It had been fun talking to her and exchanging names and powers, and Jackie hoped she would get to meet her again after that.

Evangeline: Jackie utterly adores Eva, the reason being obvious, since Evangeline is the only one who can put up with being clung to 24/7 on sight. She's always trying to comfort Jackie, and it makes her feel that rare spark of happiness just being around her, even if Eva is two years younger. She tends to seek her out on those rare occasions where all the subjects are gathered in one place.

As for Jack and Mentis, Jaquelyn hasn't met them yet, although she definitely has tried when she glimpsed them.

Miscellaneous: Likely due to her placement just before being taken away from home, Jack has a deep fear of being alone in dark, enclosed spaces. As said before she craves affection from her peers, and with that in mind she doesn't take their personalities into account before imposing herself on any of them, not caring what sort of a person they are. To her they are all prisoners alike, and that is enough for her to want to be close to them and overlook any negative aspect of their personality that might exist. But this can also be a problem, since it means she trusts far too easily.

((Like I said, ignore the Fox body parts and sinister smile.))

((DAMNIT! i thought of an awesome power, so now i have to break what i said before of only having 1 character -_-.... i hope this will pass, i had to make alot of Drawbacks))
Name: Tenai Kul Gurara

Nicknames: Techie, Techno, Machine

Experiment ID number: HJ-6474

Gender: Female

Age: 17

Appearance: Pic

Special features: her eyes have numbers and letters constantly changing and orbiting her pupils, her skin is sort of plastic-like, her hair feels artificial, and the white glove/stocking like things on her arms/legs can't be removed.

Power:
Technomania
Any object that humanity considers technology, she can copy, for example: if she touched a catapult, her arm would gain the strength to launch something the catapult would be able to launch, if she touched a camera, she will be able to see through the network those camera's are connected through, if she touched a Stun baton, she will be able to slap someone with the same amount of charge as that stun baton. some tech she touches will add physical things to her body.

Drawback:
WATER.... FRIGGIN WATER! she can't survive in water for long, 1 drop is fine, a cup of it will make her weak, a liter will paralyze her.... a pool will KILL her. also, for things like a Camera, she can't move whilst using it. and with Electrical Lock systems is something she can't copy besides locking her own movement.

Can't remove, she can't make her current tech empty, she can only touch another piece of tech to change it.

Some tech that changes her Physical appearance is temporary, and the amount of time is random.

Biography:
She doesn't really have much of a story, regular little girl, having education, loving family and stuff like that, though she never used technology, until the school she went to introduced a computer. when she touched it, her body changed to the way it is now, artificial. this frightened her classmates and teachers, after a while, she accidentally used the calculator that was on the computer during a Math test, which the teacher saw in her eye. later when she turned 9, she touched a car, and went too fast, she couldn't process fast enough to stop herself.

later, at the age of 10, she was taken to this facility, and experimented on.

Goal:
1: To see what every type of tech will give her.
2: To escape
3: To record other people's powers in a notebook, then write a book on them.

Relationships:
Jack:
Tenai is a bit frightened of Jack, a person not being capable of being touched, his presence is hard to sense too, when she was put in a room with him though, he seemed nice, she asked him if they can if they could play chess sometime. but the docs came before he could Reply.

Amitola:
Tenai hasn't been introduced to Amitola yet.

Nino:
The blind girl seemed ok, Tenai asked her what her power was... to see from other's eyes?... Tenai wasn't sure whether her plastic-like eyes would cause Nino harm or not, but in case it did, Tenai decided to avoid physical contact with Nino.

Mentis:
Tenai hasn't been introduced to Mentis yet.

Jaquelyn:
the rumored 'crying girl', she didn't seem to cry so much when they were put into a room together, though she did seem hesitant when Tenai asked what her power was, in the end she only knew it was Telepathy, and in return, she told Jaquelyn her power, then they exchanged Nicknames. Jackie sounded like Jack, which reminded her of him, Tenai did ask if Jackie knew Jack, but it seemed she didn't.

Evangeline:
NOPE. she don't exist to Tenai's knowledge

Marin:
Marin seemed like he was... cautious? of Tenai at first. after she begun to talk to him for a bit, he seemed to have opened up a little. his power of Illusions did seem like a fun thing to do, sorta like taking drugs.

Misc.:
her hair reached down to her ankles

In her picture, those things on her hips and backs, are an example of a type of tech that adds physical things to her body, for those specific things on her right now in the pic, she touched a VTOL jet engine, but when RPing, those won't be there. the wing-like thing on her arm won't be there either.

Those headphones are a part of her body.

Name: Evangeline Constance Hollows

Nicknames: Most of the scientists tend to refer to her as simply 'Animator', but Evangeline grew up almost always being called either 'Eva' or 'Connie' by her friends and family.

Experiment ID number: DL2673

Gender: female

Age: 15

Appearance: Picture
Eva is very petite, standing at a mere 5' 2" and weighing only 107 lbs. This, combined with her tastes for child-like dresses and sparkly accessories causes many to assume her to be younger than she really is. Some have even gone so far as to mistake her for being only 10, and she has often been accidentally put in younger age groups at the facility. She has slightly wavy light brown hair that reaches her waist. She always leaves it down to save herself the trouble of adjusting her ponytail holder, sleeping on her hairbow, etc. Often she will braid it down her back, but leave it untied, which is her favorite way to style it. Her eyes are a bright aqua blue that reflects iridescent green in the light, giving off the impression of water. There is a rather excessive amount of brown freckles dotting her cheeks and nose, which she despises.

Special features: nothing besides her hands, which look very mottled, and slightly demented due to the many tests done on them.

Personality: Evangeline used to be a smart, free spirit. Always fun to be around. Always smiling unless she was the center of attention. She would always be down for relaxing and watching some TV.
Now she is more of a quiet, solus person who still tries to see the good in things, but finds it difficult with the walls separating her from it and blocking her view.
She is naive, then and now, but now more aware of things than she was before. Now that she's at the facility, she will never be able to learn things about the outside world she is oblivious to.
She loves drawing, obviously. She also loves being around people who make her happy. Anything can make her laugh really, or anything used to. Now it's a little harder to get her to laugh aloud. Something to not try is to tickle her, which she dislikes more than her excessive freckles.

Power: Her power doesn't have an exact name, since she's never bothered to give it one, besides just 'animation'. Basically, she can draw objects, mini landscapes, or living creatures, and then carefully extract it from the drawn surface, thereby manifesting it into a physical object. Eva has never tried this on anything but paper.

Drawback: The drawing absolutely must be detailed for it to be any good, and it won't work unless Eva is the one to draw it. Say you just drew a plain circle, you would only be able to extract a plain circle. Say you drew a detailed sketch of a ring with dimensions and such, you would be able to extract a realistically detailed ring. So Evangeline would probably not be able to make something important under pressure or a short amount of time. It helps that she is naturally gifted with the skill of art, but then again she can only draw so many things. She teaches herself, she used to also take drawing lessons, but that was taken away when she was brought to the facility.

Biography: Evangeline was born on the outskirts of a fairly decent town. Big enough that it was nice to visit, but small enough that everyone still somehow knew everyone. Her mother was a beautiful young woman with a career in modeling, who thought very much of herself. Eva was an only child and never knew her father, whenever she brought up the subject as a child her mother would fall oddly mute. She she thought it best to leave the matter alone.

Many family friends often referred to Evangeline as a social butterfly. From a young age she could make new friends and strike up a conversation in seconds. She loved meeting new people, and even just listening to others talk was enjoyable to her. But despite the fact that she had friends and a life, much of her time was spent with her nose in her notebook, drawing. Eva first discovered her talent when she was only five and had to draw a picture to go with show-and-tell or for the art section of class. Her drawings were always far more high-quality and realistic than they should have been for her age. She began to draw more and more. It became her life, her love, something she did when she was happy, sad, angry, or just plain bored.

It wasn't too long before Evangeline's mother decided to enroll her in drawing lessons, as if teaching herself wasn't enough already. And she honestly loved it, it was during these lessons that she learned techniques outside of pencil such as oils and paints, and discovered more about dimension and creating the illusion of light. Several times she would impress her friends and family unintentionally with her skills. But she never bragged, never purposely showed off, she hated being at the center of attention. But her mother thought otherwise and was constantly using Eva almost as a tool to flaunt to her friends. Every day Evangeline had to listen to things such as "My daughter is so gifted, you should come watch her sketch!" and, "Look at her! She's only seven, and she's so talented!" or, "Connie, darling, come in here and paint the fruit bowl for us, won't you?"

Evangeline first discovered her ability when she was eight. She had been carefully drawing out her plastic water bottle in order to put into practice a short lesson she'd been given on photorealistic paintings. They'd said they didn't expect her yo be perfect, but she wanted to try it out anyway, and made sure to draw everything right down to the perspiration beads on the sides. She still clearly remembers thinking, while reaching out to pick up the paper, "Is this what photorealistic drawings are supposed to look like? It looks so real, almost like I can pick it up right off the pape-"
She couldn't believe what had just happened. Her heart slowed, it didn't seem to be real, more like she was vividly imagining things. Sitting in hand was a perfect physical model of a plastic water bottle, complete with water, and the paper on her desk was blank.

Of course any young child's first instinct would be to tell someone. Eva threw down the Water bottle and went pounding down the stairs yelling for her mother. It took a hood amount of time for her to calm down, she was breathing so hard out of pure excitement and disbelief. But her mother didn't believe her. Here was her daughter, standing in the kitchen rambling on about such an absurd thing as drawing coming to life. So Evangeline instantly grabbed her mother's hand and dragged her up the stairs still half yelling about what she'd seen. But it was gone. Lying on desk was the bottle, nothing but a mere painting, except for the fact that it was in a different position now.

It was then that Evangeline knew: something was wrong. This wasn't normal. Nobody else she'd ever heard of had such an ability as this. Perhaps she didn't realize she had already made her first mistake: telling someone. Her second mistake was to come: spreading the word. She decided to show her newfound 'power' to a couple of close friends at a sleepover. One girl was elated about the whole thing, one seemed rather scared, and the other just said it was "weird." Evangeline then kept quiet about the whole thing, it made her think. "Maybe I shouldn't tell anyone . . . Maybe something's not right." She decided she would keep it hidden, and try to just push it away until she knew more.

At least, that was the plan. But the next day after school her mother called her over yet again in order to flaunt her powers to another group of friends, pens and paper ready. But this time she decided to include news of this 'power' her daughter had described, which drew a much larger crowd, and then asked her to demonstrate. Evangeline had never done anything but obey when her mother wanted her to draw, and never even considered that she had the choice to refuse. And so, surrounded by friends and strangers, she began to draw. It was amazing to see this little girl pulling objects out of the paper like some kind of obscure magic show. People instantly began to notify her friends and family about this amazing show. And for a few days after that, always right after school, Eva's mother would call everyone over in order to make a big show of her daughter's talent. And Eva always submitted. Her own mother unknowingly set her up to be carted away. on the fourth day of this, an undercover facility agent found his way in among the crowd, the kind who often went to investigate "potential dangers to society." He heard about the event on Facebook, and immediately went to check it out.

And that's when it all went down.

Being at the facility was terrifying. With its starch white walls, empty rooms, and echoing screams through the hallways. Not to mention meeting and learning about people with abilities far bigger and scarier than her own. And the tests . . . Oh, how she hated those experiments. No matter how often she thought the Blue Angel's real name they were always so painful, shaking her up immensely. More often than not they were done on her hands, particularly her drawing hand, pulling at nerves, injecting liquids, and putting them through scans or under microscopes.

The only way she could escape from this environment was by drawing in her "cell." At least now she knew of her ability, and if she was feeling desperate she would often use extracted objects to create whole miniature wonderlands for herself within her room. But after a bit over a month of this the facilities workers saw it as trouble, and even that was taken away.

In all her seven years here Evangeline still hasn't gotten used to this place. The experiments and people still shock her every day. Perhaps this is because she hasn't given herself the chance to, almost as if she's refusing to accept the fact that base stuck here for good. Nowadays she spends much of her time alone, perhaps keeping up her talents by sketching in the dust. Although she still can keep up conversation, she now tends to sound rather desperate when talking, almost as if she's trying hard to retain her sanity by discussing the outside world. She's learned a few things, mostly to keep her emotions hidden.

Being at the facility has had more of a negative effect than a positive one on Evangeline. She's been having more reoccurring bouts of sadness instead of happiness, though one could only wonder why.

Goal: To survive, really. To work towards the day when she can live was a normal human being again.

Relationships: Amitola: Evangeline has always tried to be as kind as possible to poor Amy, and she doesn't understand why so many subjects are afraid of her. She knows that it isn't the girl's fault that she acts that way, and she sometimes enjoys watching her talk to herself while she's alone.

Jaquelyn: Despite the fact that she's normally so kind to everyone, Eva can't help but feel slightly annoyed by poor Jackie. She never accepts any help or encouragement, and will only either cry, or just seek physical attention. She always clings to Eva almost intolerably when they meet, but she does her best to overcome it and comfort 'The crying girl'.

Mentis Eva has met Mentis around the facility a few times, and he seems nice enough. She loves his helpful attitude around others, and wishes she could have gotten to know him better, but she isn't granted that chance very often.

Those are the only subjects Evangeline has met since she arrived here, since despite her social personality she tends to stay alone. Jack, Nino, and Tentai are, as of yet, a mystery to her.

Miscellaneous: Evangeline can't stand blood, it's been labeled as hemophobia. The sight of it can lead to her growing dizzy, vomiting, or passing out at the worst. Several times the scientists have cut open her hands, and almost every time she ended up fainting.

((Okay. I think I'm going to just start us off right here. Although I would prefer it if we had at least one more guy, as long as you can find a decent way to incorporate them in, then anyone can make a new character at anytime.

Also, I'm going to ask that we keep this rp SLOW. Some of us have a huge difference in timezones, some have school, I for one am traveling . . . So please try to wait for everyone and not to get too far ahead. It's okay to rp between two people for just a little, but if you've filled up more than a page then I suggest that you stop and wait for the others.))

-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-

You've just awakened from a dream, though the details are already slipping away from you. There were shadows and flame, white and blue, and something else. It feels a little like it's still with you, whatever it was, like part of the dream had followed you out. It sinks into everything you look at, creeps into the shadows and settles there. Or maybe that's just your imagination, because the power is out and everything is darker than usual.

It's strange. The power has gone out a couple of times before, during a terrible storm (or that one time someone wrecked the grid because their testing lab was right underneath it), but the emergency power had kicked on a couple of seconds later, all those other times. There should be some light, even if it's dim. There should be a hum of electricity somewhere, or the sound of churning mechanics far in the distance. Here, there is only silence and a thin sliver of moonlight under your door.

You think you remember something clicking from that direction. Have the electronic locks failed, too? Did someone turn the deadbolt for you? Why would that happen? That's not how it works.

Still, there are windows set high out in the hallway, and the full moon is bathing the tiled floor in a comforting blue. Why would you stay in here, with the bad dream, when you could be out there?

There aren't any guards, even though there should be. Just a couple other confused children, just like you.

Go say hello.

-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_---_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_

Amitola jerked up into a sitting position in her bed, as a loud scream escaped her mouth that echoed through the room and into the hallway outside. Another nightmare . . . She'd been having them every night for the past week, sometimes even when she took a nap. But this one . . . This one had been a little different . . .

At first, Amitola thought her eyes might still be closed, since the darkness surrounding her was so absolute. But there was a sliver of moonlight shining out from her window, so she realized she was perfectly awake. A blackout? Odd, there hadn't been any storms over the past few days. She couldn't hear anything, either, which was also unusual. It was a little like the mystery book she'd been reading before going to sleep.

At that thought, Amitola instantly got over her fear, and a loud, happy, slightly sadistic-sounding giggle escaped her lips. This was great! Absolutely great! It couldn't have been any more fun than yo have all those children wandering around the halls, scared and confused. But wait . . . What about her guard? A guard was always placed outside and inside her room to make sure she didn't go out and hurt anyone. Her face instantly changed, causing her ears and tail to turn into a dog's, and a long low growl escaped her throat. But wait . . . He wasn't there either? . . . What luck! What fun!
"Well . . . I guess I should probably go out and take a look around then, shouldn't I?"

Amy giggled again as her ears and tail went back to a cat's. She quickly hopped up off of her bed and approached the door a bit cautiously. There should still be the guard that everyone had outside their rooms, right? Well, she could always kill him if she needed to. Another giggle. After hesitating a moment, she reached out and turned the door handle. To her great surprise, it opened with a light click. So even her electric lock as open? Strange . . . Strange, but lucky.

Without bothering to realize that the guard wasn't there, Amitola left her room and began to skip down the hallway. "Wow . . . First that crazy dream, and now this. How lucky! Now what should I do first?"

I-it could be worse . . . There could be guards everywhere, or a trap . . . Maybe we should go back . . .
Screw the guards, it's a good thing THEY'RE not around! No stupid other subjects to interrupt us, either! You know what? We should go find the kitchen and EAT something! Like BACON!!
I like the people. We should find them, they're fun to play 'games' with . . . Hehe!

Amy giggled again. "Always about the fun little 'games' isn't it?" Now, which one of those ideas sounded better? Well . . . Food definitely sounded good right now, since she'd forgotten to eat lunch, and refused yo eat dinner. "Okay! Food it is, then!"

((If I use different fonts like that, those are Amitola's multiple personalities talking to her in her head. She hears them all the time, and often has to decided which one to listen to.))

---------------------------------------------------------

Jaquelyn was laying silently in bed, with her eyes wide open and staring at the ceiling. Cold sweat was dripping down her face, and her whole body was trembling. Panic was quickly starting to set it. She'd been subjected to darkness before, the workers knew it was her greatest fear, and often used it as a punishment. But what had she done this time? And why now? Even the shed where this fear originated from had more light and sound than this room currently did. Her breathing was coming in short, sharp little gasps. They were starting to sound almost like little whimpers. But them, something caught her eye. There was only a tiny sliver of light coming from the door, as though they'd turned down the lights in the hall to torment her further. The sick bastards.

Panting and whining all the way, Jaquelyn scrambled out of her bed and stumbled quickly to the door. Knowing there was an electric lock, she didn't bother trying to open it, she just banged on the wood.
"Please! I'm s-sorry! I'll be good, I'll behave, just turn the lights back on! D-don't leave me alone like this!"
Oddly enough, there was no answer, in fact, there was no sound at all. No taunting laugh from the guard outside her room, no footsteps of scientists, no cries of subjects being taken in for extra testing . . . . Nothing. In fact, her door seemed yo have a gap in it. Pushing on it lightly, Jaquelyn was surprised to see that it swung open without a problem.

Something was wrong. The hallways were all dark, with only faint rays of silver moonlight coming from the Windows. Even the outside lights had been turned off. She couldn't see anyone else, where we're they? The sight of other subjects would help calm her nerves, and make her feel not as alone. Jackie took a tentative step out into the dimly illuminated hall. Her first thought? Find someone to stick with.

-------------------------------------------------------

Evangeline had awoken with a start, and was now staring around her confused look on her face. What happened? She'd stolen some paper from the computer room before bed, and had been drawing in the hopes that her guard wouldn't hear. But then she'd fallen asleep . . . And had some sort of nightmare . . . But where was she now? Well, she was always out of it when she got up, so this was normal for her. Or at least, as normal as things got around here.

Eva just lay there on the desk for a moment, letting out a little sigh. Hm . . . That annoying little light wasn't on, she noticed. And there was hardly any sound to go with it. Geez, she really was tired tonight, wasn't she? Maybe she shouldn't have stayed up so late drawing . . . She'd have to avoid that in the future. But . . . The darkness and silence wasn't fading . . .

Eva raised her head off the desk and sat up straight. Was there something wrong? She felt wide awake, but the absolute darkness and total silence suggested she was having some sort of twisted dream. Tugging at her pink silk pajamas nervously, Eva walked towards her door, and pushed on it, expecting it to be locked. Wait . . . It opened.

Was this a dream? Or was something really wrong? The usual chatter of subjects and workers couldn't be heard, and the people themselves were nowhere to be seen. Nobody here but she and the moon . . . Eva slowly slid down against the wall outside her room, put her face in her hands, and tried to think. What could have happened over the last night? Had everyone been moved, and she hadn't been notified?

Jack had an abrupt awakening. the moment the light outside his Enth-metal door turned off woke him up. he hopped off his bed, still a bit drowsy from how they were testing their new Enth-metal batons on him, his legs and arms were bruised. it'd heal in a few hours, he went over and put his Jacket back on, as his tethers came to life, whilst the left one did the rare thing of having it's own mind for a few seconds by slapping everything in the room, knocking over the things on his table. it kept doing so until Jack finally got control again by grabbing it, which resulted in himself becoming paralyzed, falling over, then having to stand back up.
Jack sighed. "bloody tethers."

Jack noticed something was different with his room now... the lights weren't on.... Blackout? then he noticed his Enth-metal door was open... his Tether had slapped it... and if it opened that easily, it meant the locks weren't working, he peeked his head out the door.... the dark, empty hallways told him something was wrong. he quietly stood in the hallway... he made his tethers grab the roof, the begun moving by swinging via his tethers in a flight-like motion. he just hoped he didn't encounter some Guards.

[==========================================================]

Tenai felt.... off. she slowly opened her eyes.... the room was dark.... very dark, she sat at in her bed, rubbing her eyes. trying to figure out what was wrong... she got out of bed, only noticing now that she had fallen asleep with her clothes on. well, that just meant she didn't need to change. then she figured out what was wrong. the tech around her went quiet.... something was wrong. she went over to her door, and knocked on it.
"Hello? something's wrong! heeellloooo?"
no reply from the guard outside her door, but when she knocked on it, it creaked open... the Electric lock was quiet too. she walked out into the dark hallway, lit only by the moonlight from the windows... she needed to find someone, she begun running down one way of the hallway.

Niño awoke drenched in sweat and painting 'another nightmare' she thaught, flinging out of bed and moving around the room with her hand on the wall as if she was trying to exit a maze. "Hello" she called trying to find the door so that the gaurd would let her see abit. After a few minutes she found what felt like the door and knocked on it "are you out there?" She said again raising her voice. She was about to knock again when her door flung open and she rolled onto the floor. "Why did you do that?" She said feeling for the guards leg. "This isn't funny" she complained getting annoyed she swung her fists to try make contact with him.
"Hey the guards are gone" she heard from one side of the hall way, instantly stopping her self for she must look like an idiot. "And the powers out" she heard from another end of the hall way. "Well that makes sence" she wonderd aloud running her hand along the wall. 'I have to find a set of eyes' she thaught.

I'm honestly surprised that we all have such positive opinions of each other, 'The Crying Girl' and 'The Animal' we're made to be generally disliked and feared.))

Amitola was happily skipping in tiny circles as she walked down the hallway, giggling lightly. Just how lucky could she get? The guards were gone, as we're the workers, the place was silent, no other subjects were here, and the kitchen wasn't that far from her room. Brilliant! Just brilliant!

Amy skidded to a sudden halt, with a confused look on her face. She'd come to a fork on her path, and wasn't sure which way she should go. The truth was, she didn't exactly know her way to the kitchen, the only times she'd been there was while accompanied by three or four guards holding her down, getting food to console her anger issues. But this path seemed odd . . . The one on the right seemed to come to a dead end. But there was something dark splattering the walls . . .

G-Go back! D-Do it now!"
Dammit, What happened to food and the kitchen?" Stupid distractions . . .
I wonder if that could possibly be blood . . . Hehehe . . ."

Amy wasn't scared, instead she just suddenly felt . . . Curious. Her animal ears had turned gray and pointed, her tail became long, bushy, and striped, and the skin around her eyes darkened just slightly. A raccoon's cautious, yet curious attitude perfectly matched her mood at the moment. Being a raccoom also increased her nighttime sight immensely, and what she saw . . .

Dead. A young subjects body, mangled and bleeding at the end of the hall, dead.

What was going on?

She still wasn't scared, her raccoon form didn't allow that. She just felt . . . Wrong. There was a strong sense that she shouldn't be there, that she should just leave and avoid trouble. Quickly, Amitola flipped around and skittered down the left-hand path, her happy and cheerful mood having been replaced with a sly, cautious, and darkly curious one.

------------------------------------------------------

"Hello? I-Is anyone there? W-Where is everyone? Hello? Hello!?
Jaquelyn was breathing quickly again, a sense of panic was quickly resurfacing. Although her face retained it's usual emotionless and slightly sad stance, her voice made it perfectly clear that she as terrified out of her wits. What happened to everyone? Just the sight of another human being would help her calm down, and think straight. Any physical contact with another subject would be welcome at the moment.

((Her face always stays the sane no matter what, even though her thoughts and feelings are made obvious through her voice, body language, and sometimes the look in her eyes. So for an idea of what her usual expression looks like . . . just look up Akane Tsunemori from Psycho-Pass.))

Was it her imagination? Was she hallucinating? Jackie could swear that whenever she looked around the shadows in the corners of her eyes would begin go move. They were swirling, contorting, and making all sorts of faces, they were . . . Laughing? Why, why did it have to be so dark? What did she do to deserve this? It had to be a dream, it had to be. But what if it wasn't? Would she be trapped here forever, in the dark and all . . . Alone?

Unconsciously, Jaquelyn had begun to run, her feet pounding the carpeted hallways, a desperate look in her eye. Not caring what else was out there, she began to scream at the top of her lungs, madly searching the darkness for a face, whether a face she knew, or a stranger.
"PLEASE, HELP ME! H-HELP ME! HELLO?! I'M ALONE, WHY WON'T ANYONE ANSWER?!"

------------------------------------------------------------

Evangeline very slowly rose to her feet, and took a deep breath. If this wasn't a dream, then she wasn't going to get anything accomplished by just sitting there. She had to be sensible, right? Eva began to carefully make her way down the long dark hallway, squinting to find her way. She was wearing a pale pink silk pajama top covered with neon blue bows and puppy dog faces, with pants to match. Someone would definitely see her as long as she was wearing this, right? She scowled, one of the workers had said they made it look like she was only 11 . . . So what? She thought they were cute, and at least she was short enough that she could still wear these kinds of things.

But something felt . . . Off. Often she would see other young subject's faces nervously peeking out through their door frames, but as soon as she made eye contact with them they would shut their doors again with a click. But that wasn't the weirdest thing . . . What were those other footsteps? In any other circumstance Evangeline might have assumed it was the natural echo coming from the halls. But at the moment, they just seemed to off rhythm to be an echo. Pulling her long hair over her shoulder to braid it nervously, Eva sped up a bit. She was shocked, the footsteps remained at the same pace before speeding up to match her own.

Someone was following her.

Eva instantly took off at a run, and the footsteps sped up too. But even when she looked over her shoulder tethered was nothing there. Who was that? Who was following her?! And now she could hear another sound, a clanking and thumping around coming from above . . . Evangeline turned a corner, and couldn't help but let out a loud screech, someone didn't recognize was swinging alone the ceiling above her.

Jack instantaneously stopped, he heard a scream from behind him, turning around, his glowing blue eyes stared at the young girl that was standing there, looking at him as if he was a monster. his tether let go of the roof, and he dropped to the ground, not being able to phase through, they had lined the outside walls, top floor roof and bottom floor with Enth Metal, making it impossible for him to escape.
"what's wrong? are you ok?"
Jack was genuinely concerned, this little girl was the first life he had found... or been found by, and she was screaming like someone was skinning her.

Name: Marin Elliot

Nicknames: Illusionist

Experiment ID number: ME7319

Gender: M

Age: 14

Appearance: (Picture) Marin is rather thin and doesn’t have much body mass. He stands only 5’7’’ and has blonde hair and blue eyes. There is really nothing special about his appearance and by all accounts looks like a regular boy. He’ll usually wear cotton clothes that hang somewhat loose.

Special features: None

Personality: Marin is often found staring into space or doing things by himself. He doesn't socialize as much as he does observe others, taking in characteristics and forming his own ideas of people. He can sometimes act younger than he is, because many of his memories blend in with the times that he spent as a child before his powers. He is accepting and almost

Power: ((Reusing one of my favorite powers from a previous RP)) Illusions. -He can make people see false scenarios in their minds via skin-to-skin contact. It will only last 5 minutes in the real world, but can feel up to 24 hours in the false universe the person sees. He can create any illusion and the person cannot be released from it until the illusion ends or they have an ability that counteracts it. Even if the person has been hit by the ability before, they will typically not know it is an illusion unless they have an ability that allows them to.

Drawback: He cannot use her abilities on the same person within 24 hours. His ability will backfire if he breaks this rule and he will be stuck in an illusion for the full time; if there is no intended illusion or the intended illusion is not long enough, he will be stuck in empty space for what feels to be 24 hours. He cannot dream and his memories may often change on their own, making him never quite sure of what is real and what is false. His ability can sometimes activate when he doesn't want it to, leading him to never want to touch people.

Biography: Marin was raised by his mother who loved him more than anything. She meant the world to him, and thus he did everything to make her happy from the time he learned how to react. The two lived a ways out from the main city, so they didn't have many neighbors. Marin never truly liked school, but often pretended to so that his mother wouldn't worry. He always had radical, confusing ideas that made others look at him strangely, but never his mother. She taught him to enjoy life and see beauty in everything. He unintentionally taught her of ideas that never made much sense and seeing outside the box. The two led a happy life until Marin was 8; then his powers began to manifest.

When the powers he had finally surfaced, the first person to be affected was an older girl who’d gone to his school. She and her friends were always cracking jokes to make people laugh, but the on occasion took it too far and ended up making fun of him. Once, the girl was laughing at his habit of talking to himself when he got angry. He didn't mean to hit her, but he lashed out and caught her on the shoulder, wishing that she would be stuck in his position for a day. At first, when she froze, he was thought that she just was surprised he’d hit her and quickly started apologizing. When she fell to the floor with her eyes flickering wide open, her friends screamed and ran for the teacher. She snapped out of it 5 minutes later in the clinic, but by then Marin was terrified of what he’d done. He couldn't explain why the girl had a dream that she was being laughed at by the other students for a full day. He couldn't explain why she’d fallen into a coma-like state after he’d touched her.

Not long after the incident, Marin and his mother were watching the TV when the news came on. The bombing of a third-world country played over the screen. His mother was about to change the channel, but he quickly held her hand. He watched in horror as her eyes widened and she fell into the same state as the girl from a few days earlier. When she awoke 5 minutes later, Marin was sobbing in the corner and 911 was on its way. His mother was also crying, but she didn’t understand that Marin had caused it. She went to hold him, but he refused to be touched by anyone and locked himself in his room for the rest of the day. He couldn’t control his ability and wrote “I’m Sorry” on a note card before running away from the house into a nearby forest. He wasn’t sure how long he was out there, but eventually passed out. When he awoke, there was a man with him. Marin immediately shied away from him, telling him that when he touched people they saw things. The man asked Marin to try his ability on him and after coaxing him, the man- a scientist from the facility who’d heard that someone with odd abilities had been found in the area- asked him to come somewhere “safe.”

His life at the Facility was lonely, his mind becoming transformed by his own abilities so that he couldn’t distinguish reality from fantasy at times. He rarely talks to the scientists and almost never to the experiments.

Goal: To get rid of his powers and have things go back to his mother, exactly the way it used to be.

Relationships:
Amitola: Her quiet personality from what Marin has seen makes him think she’s just a normal person. However, the rumors that he’d picked up by listening to the scientists about “The Animal” has put him on edge around her.

Jack: Jack is the only one Marin actually isn’t afraid of being around, seeing how he can’t touch him. Thanks to this, Marin thinks that he is someone who could be trusted and a possible friend.

Nino: Marin hasn’t seen much of Nino as she’s always locked up.

Mentis: His kind attitude grew on Marin immediately, finding Mentis to be a figure to look up to. However, he’s slightly paranoid and wonders if there is an ulterior motive to his kindness.

Jaquelyn: He has only seen her a few times in the hallways and has never been introduced.

Tenai: She seems nice enough, but Marin always wondered what she really felt. She never seemed to make much of an impression, but her kindness made him warm up to her. As with Mentis, he is slightly dubious of her kindness.

Evangeline: Eva’s abilities interested Marin from the moment he found out about them. He liked the fact that they could both create things from ideas, but hers being actually physical. While he doesn’t get to hold too many lengthy conversations with her, he has hoped that the two could be closer.

Adran: Marin has only heard of Adran, but wonders to what extend her powers can go. He doesn't like the sound of them, with the ability to burn others and all.

Misc.:
Marin tries not to show fear in most situations, but is terrified of the idea of pain. His gentle upbringing gave him a ridiculously low pain tolerance and his own mind transformed pain into a phobia.

Evangeline just stood there, apparently paralyzed for almost a whole minute, before letting out a deep breath with her hand on her chest. It was okay. She was fine. It was actually just another person, and on second glance he definitely didn't seem dangerous. "Yeah . . . Yeah, I'm fine." She looked over her shoulder worriedly. "I thought for sure that someone was following me . . . But, never mind that, it's gone now." She looked back at Jack, a slight smile already back on her face. "Who're you? I don't think I've seen you around the facility before. I'm Evangeline, but you can call me Eva."

---------------------------------------------------------

Jaquelyn found herself stumbling towards this yelling voice, not caring if it was some kind of monster at the moment, she just wanted someone to be close to. She turned a corner, and instantly felt relieved. It was that girl . . . That techno girl that she'd gotten to talk to once in a cell, when the workers introduced them. "It's not - I'm not - I'm not the only one -" she sighed in relief. "Hey . . . Where is everyone? What happened? I d-don't know what to do . . ." She was staring at Tenai's hand, with her own hand subconsciously reaching out to take hold of it, and automatic reflex of hers upon meeting new people. But then she stopped. What if she wouldn't let her hold her hand? What if she thought she was 'weird', and left her all alone? And what about her arm? Jackie's ghastly telekinesis arm was hanging freely by her side, an arm which often caused many to refrain from touching her.

((I think I'll save Amitola for Maris to interact with, assuming Avarice hasn't left us since I took so long . . .))

Jack tilted his head at Evangeline, if someone was following her.... he quickly looked up.... no one... he looked back to her, his eyes glowed a little brighter now.
"I'm Jack... call me whatever ya like. and I'm guessing the fact that you're out here in the halls, it's not just my Electric Locks that failed too... somethings wrong, and i don't usually feel when things are wrong" she seemed to be a good person... rather smaller than Jack, he decided to stay with her, she seemed like she'd cry if she was on her own.

[==============================]

Tenai chuckled a little.
"Calm down, i can only answer 1 question at a time, but remember, a question for a question, hehe, well... only if it's not too personal. well, i don't know where everyone is, maybe they're all exploring like us, as for what happened. considering the machines around us are quiet... a Blackout has probably happened... but it doesn't feel right... as for what we should do, we should probably find more people... now, here's my question... if it's not too personal... did they do something to your arm?" Tenai tilted her head for a second, and pointed to Jaq's strange arm... it sort of intrigued Tenai, she loved things that involved these amazing powers others had.
over a year ago kittyluv57 said…
Evangeline nodded, thinking hard. "So your lock failed too, huh? Weird . . . And not only that, the guards are missing, the scientists are missing, most of the subjects are missing . . . It's like this place was just wiped clean of any and all life that might have been here before." She sighed. "I thought I was the only one left . . . You have no idea what a relief it is to find another human being here." She looked up. "So . . . What do you think happened? Did you by any chance happen to have a weird nightmare before waking up?"

-----------------------------------------------

Jaquelyn instantly pulled her arm behind her back, staring at her feet. Did she hate her arm? Was that it? Jackie had begun to stutter nervously again, although her face remained blank as usual. "I-I didn't - they didn't d-do anything -" she gulped slightly. "That's why I have powers . . . That arm . . . The scientists said it was made of pure psychic energy . . . I got it when I was 8 . . ." She sighed, suddenly switching the subject. I agree - l-let's look for more people." Jackie honestly didn't care what exactly was happening in this place, as long as she had people to cling to. "Hey, c-can I hold your hand?" She blurted out, she was desperate for physical contact.
over a year ago Banette said…
Jack tilted his head... dreams.... something he hadn't had in a long time since coming to this godawful place.
"i wouldn't exactly call us... human... or at least i know I'm not. i have no idea what happened. one minute I'm asleep, the next the light outside my door turns off, and i get blasted awake.... as for the nightmare... no, sorry... none....." Jack flinched... something he hadn't done ever since he knew of his powers... "Somethings..... wrong.... you said someone... or something was following you... right?"

[=================================]

Tenai was intrigued, Psychic abilities from the arm? seems interesting... but she noticed how Jaq changed the subject... it was a personal matter. Tenai smiled. "sure"
She could tell Jaq was... fragile. Tenai extended her hand for Jaq to take hold... being Gentle, and Careful seemed like the good idea here.

Nino continued to find the source of the screaming. when the screaming was at its loudest it stopped, and was replaced with slight chatter from around the corner. "helloooooo" she called slipping on the sewerage that was on the floor covering her clothes in a new coat. "argh" she moaned pulling herself back up and onto the wall. she moved her other hand that wasn't on the wall to wipe the sewerage from her face. "'why is there so much sewerage here? its not like everyones toilets got plugged at once' she thought.

(I'm really sorry for responding so late...)

Marin was laying in his bed, staring up at the ceiling when the power had gone out. He froze for a moment, before carefully making his way from the bed to a standing position. He placed a hand on the door and pushed, pulling his hand back in surprise when it opened. "That shouldn't happen," he said quietly. He stepped out into the hallway, looking back and forth. Marin walked out, looking around for any light source. 'I can't see anything,' he thought, feeling along the wall. He couldn't be the only one out here. The scientists must have realized what had happened, right? He continued moving down the hallway slowly. 'Though... what if I am the only one?' he suddenly thought. He felt his chest clench in panic. If there were no scientists left, then no one could help him. He would be stuck the way he was forever. "Hello? Is anyone there??" he called frantically, before picking up his pace down the hallway. He stopped moving, standing still in the middle of the floor. By now, he had no idea where he was. "Hello?" he called again, backing up to lean against the wall.

Amitola had suddenly frozen in place as she walked, and seemed to be sniffing the air slightly. She had seen a flash of movement beyond the corridor she was in now. For a moment, she debated between whether she should follow out of curiosity, or flee from danger in the opposite direction. Eventually, she followed her new curious instincts, and quickly turned the corner. What she saw both surprised her, relieved her, and made her leather suspicious. Due to her raccoon vision, she could see another subject one who looked a few years younger than she was.

H-He's dangerous, I can tell! Let's run away, n-now!
I wonder if he knows where the kitchen is? If you weren't distracted, we c oil be eating bacon right now, dammit . . .
hehe, it's another subject . . . He looks scared, how funny . . . Why don't we show him a 'game' to play?

Trying to ignore her different personalities, Amitola took a step forward. "Who the hell are you?" She muttered.

-----------------------------------------------

Evangeline nodded at his question, shuddering at the very thought. "Yeah . . . At first I thought it was just an echo, ya' know? Like we always get in the hallways. But then I sped up . . . And the footsteps behind me didn't change pace at first. But then they sped up to match mine. So then I knew it was separate person, or thing, not an echo." She was already scolding herself for adding 'or thing' in there. Of course it couldn't be a thing, there were only people in this facility right? In fact, maybe it had been another scared subject, maybe she should have gone back and looked for them.

-----------------------------------------------

Looking extremely relieved, Jaquelyn grabbed Tenai's outstretched hand and held on like her life depended on it. Well, in her mind, maybe it did. She had half expected her to refuse, like almost everyone else did when she tried to get close to them. "Thank you . . ." She then began to swivel her head in all directions, as though trying to she everything at once. "Maybe we should go that way." Jackie said, pointing around a distant corner. "I-I thought I heard someone muttering about sewage or something on my way here."

"well.... somethings telling me to run, and i lost the instinct of 'fear' when i became a Ghost.... which worries me even more now..." Jack's eyes glowed a bit brighter, to the point where Jack could see the blue reflecting off the walls. usually, this was a bad sign, his eyes only glow brighter depending on how dark it was... which meant it was getting.... darker?
"i think.... we should begin running" Jack took a step back... something... was behind the corner Evangeline had turned... he couldn't see it.... but he could tell.... something was there, and it was heading towards them.

[===========================================]

Tenai nodded. "Allright, but be careful" Tenai begun leading Jaq in the direction she pointed in, when they reached the corner, there was a girl there, covered in Blood.
"OH MY GOD ARE YOU ALLRIGHT?" Tenai quickly asked, outstretching her hand that Jaq wasn't holding in case the girl needed support.

Ninos heart raced when she head a woman's voice, she had finaly found someone who's eyes she could use. "Of cource I am" she said shuffling closer to the voice. 'Why is she so alarmed?' She thaught 'a little sewerage didn't make me look that bad right?'. She shook off the thaught and focused her mind, "does anyone know why there us so muck sewerage all over the place?" She asked.

Marin turned quickly to see who had spoken. He saw a girl with... animal ears? And a tail? He figured that that should mean something, but he couldn't remember why that seemed familiar. "Um, I'm Marin," he said, trying to see her in the little lighting they had. "I'm an, erm, experiment." He hated that term, but it was the standard that they used. She probably was as well. A scientist wouldn't look like that, would they? "Sorry, but who are you?" He leaned forward, not moving from off the wall. "And what's going on anyway? Is this a test?"
over a year ago kittyluv57 said…
"Oh? You don't know what's going on either?" Amitola instantly perked up, her mood changing instantly back to her original one, her ears and tail changing back to a black cat's. "And experiment, huh? You mean a subject? Great, I am too!" She took another curious step forward, her tail swishing back and forth excitedly. "A test? I'm not sure. I woke up, and the guards were gone, and the door was unlocked, so I decided to follow one of the voice a and ho get some bacon!" She giggled, and then cocked her head at him slightly. "Hey . . . Have we met before? You look kinda' familiar."

--------------------------------------------

"W-What? Why?" Evangeline began to turn her head crazily in all directions, a strange feeling of paranoia taking over her. "Is something wrong?" And then she looked behind her . . . Something was wrong. The shadows . . . We're they . . . Moving? And what was that . . . Swirling . . .
Evangeline instantly flipped around and took off, not bothering to look and see of Jack was following her. One thought had just run through her mind, as though she'd been searching for it this whole time:
The Shadow man. It's The Shadow Man.
Was it because they had all left their doors open when they went out? You weren't supposed to leave them open at night, or at least, that was what the legend said. But, it was just that, a legend. It wasn't real, right? Well then why . . . Why was she running like her life depended on it.

--------------------------------------------

Jaquelyn let out a loud gasp, and her grip on Tenai's hand increased to the point where she might have drawn blood if she hadn't loosened it at the last second. But yet, her face had the same expression. That girl, was that her blood? We're those her intestines spread out on the ground? Well then how was she still alive? . . . But wait . . . Was that another body, lying on the ground behind her?
"Sewage? Sewage?! Why are you wallowing in someone else's guts?!"

Jack stood still for a moment to look at the.... thing, the thing which brought back the emotion of fear... the longer he stood there, the more his fear begun to lower, but after thinking for a minute... a shadow...thing?... it's a very low possibility, but it might be able to touch him... and he wasn't going to stay and find out, he quickly ran right after Eva, catching up to her in a second... being light as hell sure had benifits, he quickly phased one of his Tether's through her chest, and then just jumped up in the air, and crossed his legs, he was being pulled along via Eva now.
"you seem to know.... what that... 'thing' was. mind filling me in?"

Tenai moves a bit back from Nino as she came closer, pushing Jaq back with her, a strange woman who you can barely see in the dark, covered in someone else's blood and entrails coming towards you wouldn't exactly make you whunna hug her, Tenai moved herself and Jaq out of the blood-covered woman's way.
"yes, you're wallowing in someone's blo-" Tenai stopped and had a realization.
"Wait... someone... else's blood..." she looked to the corpse.
"YOU'RE A MURDERER?!" Tenai yelled, quickly pulling Jaq and herself away from the woman.

Marin watched with amazement as her ears and tail changed shape. "Wait, what? A 'voice'? Bacon?" he asked, confused. She made less and less sense to him. However, when she asked if they'd met, he looked down, ashamed. "I... wouldn't know. I have a hard time remembering people," he said quietly. Shaking his head, he looked back up. "Um, if it's personal you don't have to answer but... what did you mean by 'a voice'? And also the ears and tail...?" He trailed off, trying not to stare at the cat's tail swishing behind her.

Amitola couldn't help but giggle again at the amazed look on his face, she thought it funny. She merely shrugged at his question about the voices. "I dunno'. I hear the voices, I listen to the voices, I follow the voices, the end!" She giggled again, and then something very strange seemed to her body.
"Why can't I just go get some damned bacon?" She suddenly yelled, in a rather rough sounding voice.
"N-No, I want to run, I want to run away now . . ." This time in a quiet, timid voice.
"I wonder how loud you can scream?" Now in a high-pitched, rather sadistic voice.
Everytime she said each sentence her ears and tail would change, first to a lion's, then a bunny's, and then what seemed to be some kind of dog. But then she went back to normal, and her ears and tail went back to a black cat's. "Somethin' like that!" She said with a smile.

------------------------------------------------------

In her current state of panic, Evangeline let out a loud screech at the sight of his tether going through her chest, ad began clawing at it in an attempt to get it out. It took a few seconds for her to realize it wasn't doing her any harm. She stood there in dumbfounded silence from pure fear and confusion before answering his question. "The shadow man. What if it was the shadow man?" She was already tugging at her pink pajamas nervously. She knew she probably sounded extremely childish for thinking that such a legend could be true. Then again, why wouldn't it be? No, now she was sounding ridiculous.

------------------------------------------------------

"W-What? Murderer?" Jaquelyn instantly threw herself backwards, her voice filled with pure fear. Then again, how could she be a murderer? There was nothing around them to murder with. But she might have some sort of power that helped her Do it . . . But suddenly, the name clicked . . . "N-Niño? Are you the girl that's always locked up?"
over a year ago Banette said…
"The shadow man?..... what the hell is the Shadow Man? is one of the test subjects some shadow guy?" Jack was never told the legend of the Shadow Man, in fact, he's never told anything, people don't usually talk to someone who you can't touch, smell, taste and sense the presence of. you'd usually avoid someone like that.

[======================================]

Nino? Nino was the blind eye-power girl, well... that would explain the wallowing in someone else's blood.
"Nino, how'd you get here, k'now... being...." Tenai stopped there, being blind might be a sensitive topic, Tenai outstretched her hand cautiously to Nino still holding Jaq's hand carefully., still unsure if her Plastic eyes would work for Nino.
"Here, use my eyes"

Marin stared with widened eyes at her. "R-right..." he said, unconsciously pressing closer to the wall. This girl was legitimately insane. "Well, um... you seem... interesting," he said with a nervous laugh. "I'm sure the other voices make nice company." He glanced down the hallway. He really didn't want to hang around her, but he wasn't even sure if there was anyone else around. "Do you know if there's anyone else out here?" he asked, hoping that he didn't sound too much like he was trying to escape her. 'If only I could remember who she is... she's obviously an older subject, so she must have some kind of reputation...' he thought to himself.
over a year ago kittyluv57 said…
((Hahaha, we have someone who's actually scared of her instead of liking her despite her craziness XD))

"As, what's wrong?" Amitola was watching his every move, taking note of his body language, while her cat ears shoveled towards the sound of his voice. "Don't worry, I'm not gonna' bite ya'! Well, I might, you never know! Just don't make me mad!" Another giggle. Then, a sudden look of both fear and sadness came over her face, as her ears and tail changed into another kind of dog's. "Don't . . . Don't make me mad . . ." Her voice had taken on a saddened and mysterious tone. "I don't want it to happen again . . . I never meant to hurt them . . . But that one - that one deserved to die . . . Didn't he?" But then she changed, her ears/tail went back to a black cat's, and she was happy again. "Well, never mind that!" She might have seen completely insane at this point, but real, painful memories had been running through her mind for a second there. "Nope, I haven't seen anybody else around. Just you and me, right now!" She then looked curious. "By the way, what's your name? I'm Amitola, Amitola Hart! But you can call me Amy!" She scowled. "The others like to call me 'Animal' though . . ."

-----------------------------------------------

"Really? You've never heard of the Shadow Man?" Evangeline was confused at that. How didn't he know? The Shadow Man was one of the most popular urban legends here, he was the reason that two-thirds of the subjects here didn't care that their doors were securely locked at night. "You know, shadowy thing that comes to get you at night?" Seeing that he genuinely had no idea, Eva sighed and began to explain. "It's an urban legend that spread like wildfire around this facility, I'm surprised you don't know . . . The Legend goes, that you always have to shut your doors and windows at night before you go to bed, or else at exactly 12:17 a.m. the Shadow Man will sneak under the cracks and steal you away to his realm, where he'll torture your soul until you can't take it anymore." She shuddered. "Most of the far older subjects know it was just made up by the workers to keep the subjects in bed at night . . . But . . ."

-----------------------------------------------

Jaquelyn slowly let out a small, relieved sigh. There was no way Niño could be a killer, right? Just look at her, the girl was blind, and obviously terrified. Jaquelyn stepped forward as well, and held out her own hand as well. However, this wasn't out of kindness like Tenai, it was only because she was now desperate for one more person to cling onto after seeing that body. Something wasn't right . . . There was a mirror on the wall amongst all the blood and entrails . . . "Here, t-take my hand!" She suddenly blurted out, nearly snatching up Niño's hand on her own in order to touch her.

He trembled as the memories finally returned, linking themselves to the name. "I-I see..." He didn't know what to do. If he stayed, well, she was a psychopath! But if he left, would that make her mad? He could try to make a run for it, but he had no where to go. His eyes flickered back and forth down the hallway, trying to locate an escape route. ((Oh . . . Whoops ^^" but, yeah, I like it better this way, it's no fun to always have positive opinions of each other.))

"Ohohohohoh, okay!" Amitola hopped up and down excitedly. "I wanna see if we can find a few more people to play with!" More dog ears and tail for a moment. "Of course . . . 'Plaayy' with them . . ." But then she was back to normal once more. "Maybe there'll be another dead person! I found one earlier, he was just lying there at the end of the hall!" Even though she giggled again, you might have noticed that her eyes had begun to flicker over her shoulder, as her paranoid fear kicked in that someone or something might be following her. "Y-Yeah! Let's do that. Oh! Maybe we'll find the kitchen, then I can finally eat something!"

-------------------------------------------

"Well, sure, I've thought about going back several times now . . ." Evangeline felt rather confused at herself. "But, well . . . Don't you think it'd be kind of a waste to back? I mean, the guards are gone, all the subjects are gone, something's definitely going on here. So why would we just lock ourselves in our rooms and sleep the night away? Besides, this is freedom we've all wanted for a while. We shouldn't just toss it away." Sighing, Eva looked back in the direction they'd come from. "Fight it, huh? . . . If I use my powers right, that that might be made easier . . ." At that thought she stared down at her hands. "I wonder if that paper is still I'm my room?"

-------------------------------------------

Now that she had Niño's hand, and she was using her eyes, there was no way Jaquelyn was going to let her leave now. Sure, it was rather selfish to keep holding on for her own reasons, but at the moment she didn't care. "Whoah, whoah, calm down! Please?" Still,,since Jackie was always the one being comforted, then she had no idea how to actually comfort someone else. "Uh . . ." She slowly turned to Tenai. "M-Maybe we should take her to the bathrooms?
