((Might as well reuse a character, too . . . I was very proud of her for some reason . . .))
Name: Amitola Elizabeth Hart
Nicknames: She is only ever known as 'Animal' or 'The Animal' by almost everyone around the facility, and it's not exactly a friendly name.
Close friends or actual acquaintances might call her 'Amy' or 'Lizzy', and she will sometimes refer to herself as 'Ami-san'.
Experiment ID number: AH2140
Gender: female
Age: 16
Appearance: Picture
Amitola is very skinny looking, most likely due to the fact that she often either forgets to eat, or absolutely refuses. Perhaps due to the experiments she is irregularly tall, considering she was petite as a child, standing at almost 6' 2". She has extremely long, snow-white hair going down to her knees that she's never cut in her life. It's almost always up in a sort of messy bun in order to keep it out of her face and off the floor. Her eyes are a shimmering, icy blue color. Her skin is very pale, almost porcelain. Due to her obsession with perfection, she always make sure every little bit of her looks just the way she wants it. This, combined with her pale skin and emotionless face around people, makes her look almost like a living doll. She always wears a fuchsia colored ribbon-like collar with a golden bell on it around her neck.
Special features: due to her powers, Amitola's most noticeable feature is the black cat ears and tail that are almost always sticking out of her head and lower back. They react just like real cat features, swiveling towards noises and moving depending on the situation.
Besides this, Amitola has a huge amount of blackish-Brown colored scars covering her body. Her neck has two scars on either side of her neck that are an inch apart in front and back, there are scars like these on both of her wrists as well. Her left shoulder has three scars running from the bottom of the back of her shoulder to the top of her collar bone and one scar similar to it on her right shoulder. Three large scars are on the outside of her right thigh and to scars on her left thigh similar to the ones on her neck and wrists. Both of her sides have a scar that go from her back to her stomach and are six inches apart in front and back. Her largest scar is on her back and goes from her right shoulder blade down to her left hip. Besides these there are many smaller versions of these scars that are about 3 inches long dotting her entire body except her face. She constantly insists on wearing long sleeves, pants, and even turtle necks in order to hide these scars.
Personality: Amitola tends to have many sporadic and random mood swings. The scientists tried put her on medication to help keep her more calm, relaxed, and focused, however, the effectiveness of this medicine seems to vary as much as her mood. Sometimes it seems as though she has multiple personalities with how changing and drastic her changes in mood are. She also has extreme anger and trust issues. When she gets angry she has to be tied down and medicated due to her volatile aggression and sudden bloodlust. Her trust issues are just a part of her not wanting to be close to anyone around her. She adores animals and always has. Her life seems to revolve around being alone, animals, training her body and mind, and learning as much as she possibly can about anything and everything. When she is around others she may seem quiet and reserved, even emotionless, preferring to keep to herself and let others do what they will. But when she's alone it's an entirely different story. She will instantly perk up into a happy and slightly hyper mood, and begin to talk, argue, and carry on full-length conversations with herself, sometimes it seems as though there are more than four people in the room with how many sides there are. She is overly paranoid about people being behind her or staring at her too long. Amitola had a severe psychotic break when she was only seven, causing her to be more ruthless and detached from emotion. She believes that she is completely insane, which to most people would be true, but she has just a more unique look on life which makes her think that she is crazy. She also has homicidal and suicidal thoughts and tendencies when she is off her medication. She often fakes most of her emotions, she puts on an amazing facade when she feels it necessary.
Power: Animal Mimicry: Amitola can imitate the traits and abilities of whatever animal she chooses, this can even include mythical ones as long as she has enough information about them. Often the ears and tail will pop out according to whatever animal she's mimicking. It is even possible for her to entirely assume the form of that animal, although she hasn't explored this very much yet.
Drawback: Perhaps Amitola's biggest issue is that she can't turn her power off. At the moment her ability is highly unpredictable, often changing around depending on her mood swings. She does her best to imitate a cat most of the time since that's the most comfortable form, and it can help balance out her mood swings to a calming state when she tries to focus on just a cat. But more often than not her ears and tail will change around anyway, it's very hard to control. This ability tends to heighten her moods as well and make her feel certain emotions much stronger than usual, making her very difficult to handle.
Biography: Amitola was an only child, and she is half-Japanese, half-American. Although although her parents lived in America she was born in Japan. Her mother (Aiko Hart) was visiting relatives, and happened to go into labor at that time. She was a kind caring and sweet person who had been trying to conceive for almost three years, and who planned to give her first baby the best home a child could possibly ask for. But Amitola's father (Harold Hart) . . . He was a different story. He was a cold sarcastic person, often making jokes about things that weren't necessarily supposed to be joked about, and looking down on people of lower status than himself. But he was almost never home, and that was for a reason: He was a leading scientist at the facility of the indigo children. For a long time he had worked in there, but he wanted to take it farther than anyone else had before. But despite his high position his colleagues refused, thinking his ideas to be far too drastic and harmful.
Amitola came a week early. As a baby she had raven black hair, and sparkling emerald green eyes. It was a difficult birth, and Aiko ended up dying of shock and extreme blood loss in the process. It was believed that she might be orphaned, until her family's records were looked at. And so, Amitola was left to the devices of her cruel father. Harold was devastated, even though he almost never saw his wife anymore. He was disappointed in his child, considering he had wanted a boy, and seemed to blame her for the fact that he no longer had a wife, even though he somehow quickly got over Aiko's death. He saw Amitola more as a pet he was being forced to take care of instead of a human being. He didn't care for her, never did, and only applied her needs in order to keep up his reputation. So when Amitola developed a very special ability at an extremely young age (about 7 months), he saw this a perfect chance to turn his only daughter into a new test subject to try his previously rejected insane experiment ideas.
He would have to wait until she was stronger, of course. Already though, Amitola didn't like her father. The way he watched her with a hungry look in his eye sometimes, The odd things he did to her ears, tail, and body sometimes, and the fact that he never played with her unless he absolutely had to. Amitola was a very lonely baby. And even when her father did come for her she would sometimes cry and shy away. She never got the love that a baby should have gotten.
By time Amitola had turned two, her father Harold decided he couldn't wait any longer. She was healthy, she was developing properly, there was no reason why he shouldn't start the experimenting now. He didn't bother to pack many of her things, just some clothing and food. With that, he transported her daughter to his private lab placed not too far from the Facility. It was there that it began. Amitola's father put her through extremely intense and painful physical, mental, and emotional tests, which traumatized her almost to a breaking point. She was scarred badly enough that eventually, her black hair turned snow white, and her green eyes paled to a light icy blue. Sometimes she tried to struggle, but all that happened was she got yelled at, sometimes beaten, and had extra testing done.
After a few years, Amitola had stopped protesting. This was the only life she had, all she knew was pain, testing, and silence. The entirety of her days were spent locked up in her father's lab in which there were no windows, no toys, no books, no nothing. She knew absolutely nothing of the outside world or what it was like. By time she was five Amitola had become entirely submissive. She learned everything her father wanted her to learn, did everything he wanted her to do. It was an empty, fruitless existence. She no longer knew who she was, or why. She was almost entirely emotionless at this point, she spoke in a monotone and made stiff movements almost like a robot. But deep inside, she wanted to learn. She wanted to know exactly what was outside these metal walls and find out absolutely everything as soon as she could. Hundreds of emotions and thoughts swirled around inside her little heart and mind, but she'd been taught that these emotions were worthless and that she shouldn't struggle.
But it wasn't long before she snapped.
It was her seventh birthday, and her father and entered the lab earlier than usual in older to give her a 'birthday present', which was really a new test he had been perfecting. Unable to take the mental and physical strain anymore at such a young age, Amitola suddenly lashed out at him. At first it was just a normal temper tantrum, with kicking, screaming, what you'd expect from an average seven year old. But suddenly, it turned worse. She was screaming at the top of her lungs, grabbing at his face and trying to scratch it off, she bit his shoulder and drew blood, pumping with sudden newfound adrenaline and rage She jumped at him with immense strength. Her father was caught unawares by this sudden change, allowing her to knock him to the ground. By this point Amitola's ears and tail had become golden and rounded, her nails had grown and sharpened, her strength had increased. She was unconsciously mimicking a lion. Her father did manage to push her off at one point, because now she was distracted by something new: a scalpel. While her father began to call for help, she darted forward, grabbed it, and stared at it gleefully like it was some new toy. She then proceeded tackle her father again knocking the phone out of hid hand, and dug the scalpel into his left shoulder as hard and deep as she could. She pulled it out and dug it in again, straight into his eye. Over and over again she stabbed him, laughing like an utter maniac, until he was finally dead.
But the call had gone through. Four of Harold's colleagues came bursting into the room, and gasped at the sight. Harold was lying spread out on the ground bleeding profusely from almost all parts of his body, dead. And Amitola was sitting on top of him with the scalpel in her hand and her head thrown back, still laughing. In a hurry backup was called, and Amitola ended up being up carted off in a straitjacket to her new home in the facility.
Amitola liked it better at the facility. The scientists saw the potential in her power, and tried more than once to train her up to be obedient and useful. But it was when she arrived at the facility that Amitola's mood swings began to become extremely strong. Her ability would often go out of control when you forced her into doing something and she was extremely hard to control. So after a while they chose to abandon that and try other things with her. But what Amitola really loved was that they let her learn. she absolutely devoured the first book they gave her, and she taught herself how to read. She became obsessed with learning absolutely everything that was possible to learn. But not all was happy and sunshine at this facility. There were still horrid, painful experiments, alot of which made her scream. They would often punish her when she went out of control, which was never fun. The medication they made her take didn't always work, so exploring her mood-sensitive power was extremely hard. In her nine years here Amitola has had many tests done to evaluate her mental state, but no sure result has emerged yet.
Overtime, she became very feared and avoided by many of the other subjects. All the scientists did was take her book away by force and place her in a room with another subject immediately afterwards for a mere five minutes . . . That subject is no longer here. She has severely injured several other subjects as well due to her anger issues, causing many to avoid her and always refer to her as 'The Animal'. Nowadays much hope for her being any use has been abandoned, although she still has dozens of tests done. She has been left alone, and spends much of her time in her room trying to learn as much as she can, and trying not to damage her things when her mood swings out of control.
((Yeah, you don't have to make your bio as long and complicated as that . . . I just love making them, is all . . .))
Goal: It seems that Amitola's ultimate goal is to achieve perfection in all aspects of her life. She wants to reach physical and mental perfection, master her ability, and learn everything there is to know in existence. A childish hope, but one that keeps her going.
But she also strongly desires freedom from this place she was forced to call home, and has dreamt several times of killing as many people as needed to escape.
But deep in her heart, her biggest desire is to discover someone who will truly love her for who she is, so that she'll finally get to experience that emotion.
Relationships: Jack: Amitola has seen Jack around the facility a few times before, and even been introduced by the workers once. She honestly thought he was kind of funny, with those long, wavy things sticking out of his head, and the way he floated around and disappeared reminded her of the ghost stories the scientists let her read sometimes. For now, she just sees him as a funny little acquaintance, although he seems to be rather wary of her.
Nino: Amitola is slightly interested by Nino, since she's never seen anyone who can't see before. She remembers her saying at one point that Amitola let her see several things, so sometimes while she reads a book she'll remember Nino and wonder if she can see the book, even though she can't because of the distance limit. She's confused about why Nino is always locked up.
Mentis: Mentis is the subject that Amitola has interacted with the most, and his effect on her is a little . . . Odd. It brings about extreme mood swings, more than usual. Sometimes the sight of him makes her extremely happy, sometimes he makes her very angry and murderous for no reason, and once she even burst into tears while talking to him and couldn't explain why. This is most likely due to her muddled memories of her father mentioning him, or hearing conversations between Menmis and Harold. Part of her sees him as a long-lost brother, part of her hates him for stealing her only family member's affection, and another part just feels sad because she never got to experience the love her had.
Jaquelyn: Amitola is extremely confused by the so-called 'crying girl'. Her facial expressions never match up with her body, and she's always trying to search out hugs. But when Amy tries to play with her, she always runs away for some reason . . .
Tenai: Amitola hasn't met Tentai, as of yet, although her powers do sound interesting, and she's hoping to meet her one day so she can add those powers to her great amount of knowledge.
Evangeline: Amitola is slightly fond of Evangeline. She finds it amusing to watch her pull things out of the little paper she can find, and she's one of the few people ho goes out of her way to be nice to Amy, despite the fact that everyone else is so scared of her. Besides, she thinks her dresses and such are cute.
Misc. She loves learning, animals, physical training, mental training, puzzles, challenges, reading, writing, learning new languages, music, art, cooking, and acting. She has so many hobbies that it is hard for her to not enjoy her free time. Amitola also has a highly overactive imagination, she can live in her own world in her mind for days if she really wants to. Her imagination tends to lean towards a darker path when she is asleep, she has what most would call the most terrifying nightmares, but she calls them happy little dreams. When she does have a nightmare that scares her she will wake up screaming and crying in a cold sweat, then try and fall back asleep, constantly looking around her room. She also can't go more than five minutes without her ratty old blue blanket and white and blue stuffed dog that she has had since birth, it was a gift from a Japanese cousin that her father let her keep while he was still alive. The bell on the collar she wears hardly ever makes a sound, and it is uncertain why. when she gets the chance, she loves to eat meat and fruit the most, also drinking mostly milk and soda. Amitola truly believes in spirits and ghosts as well as most of the horrifying stories and myths that have been told for generations, she is highly superstitious and paranoid about such things. Due to her constant reading and learning, she now speaks and writes English, Spanish, French, Mandarin Chinese, Jin Chinese, Japanese, and an odd native American language she picked up from a book.
