Random Role Playing O'Captain My.....King!?

((I Know its more than a mouth full guys, but please just bear with me))

O Captain! my Captain! our fearful trip is done,
The ship has weather’d every rack, the prize we sought is won,
The port is near, the bells I hear, the people all exulting,
While follow eyes the steady keel, the vessel grim and daring;
But O heart! heart! heart!
O the bleeding drops of red,
Where on the deck my Captain lies,
Fallen cold and dead.

O Captain! my Captain! rise up and hear the bells ring;
Rise up—for you the pirate's flag is flung—but upon your head, is the ghostly crown of a KING!? ,
For you bouquets and ribbon’d wreaths—for you the shores a-crowding,
For you they call, the swaying mass, their dumbfounded faces turn;
Here Captain! dear King!?
This arm beneath your head,
It is some dream that on the deck,
You’ve risen, no longer cold and dead.

My Captain....My King.... answers, his lips are pale, no longer still,
My Captain is a King and he has a pulse and will,
The ship is anchor’d safe and sound, its voyage closed and done,
From fearful trip the victor ship comes in with another object to be won;
Exult O shores, and ring O bells!
But I with astounded tread,
Walk the deck my Captain lives,
As a King, no where near dead!

[Backstory]
It is reasonable to assume that Pirates have existed since the first ships began to sail the mighty and treacherous seas of the world. Some were well known mostly as vikings, others just as you've imagined them to be. But the strange part of all of this is that its been revealed that your Captain.....was a KING. Someone who bore great riches and had great power. But how in the pits of Davy Jones Locker did such an all powerful person become adapted to ruling over the seas!? And what purpose was behind all of it, for it was not just your captain that was a king, but numerous others. Even some of the greatest pirates in history! Black Beard included! Now that you've found the truth of your Captain being a King, how far are you willing to look, how adventurous, curious, anxious are your spirits to find the the hidden truth behind the purposes of these great King Pirates? How much treachery are you willing to tread through to find the answers that poke at your minds and blow your flags in the breezes of the sea? But the hidden purpose isnt the only astounding matter of it, there be more, a lot more.

--SETTING---
This Rp takes place at both land and sea, but mostly sea. It shall be explained that the world is a lot different now that most of the land has been drowned by the oceans and seas, and now only little land still remains.
------------------

[Once a King, Twice a Captain]

A loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time ago, Kings were known to be rulers of land. As facts remain, some were great and kind leaders/rulers, and some were ruthless and daring. Kings were always ones to have great riches and fortune, and more power to use than one may think. But wouldnt you think that they would atleast get bored with the whole role of being a king? Ruling over the lands and sending wrong doers and sometimes innocence to torture chambers. Or going to battle with numerous other kings and conquering more land? Well of course they did! And it all started with King Jakovin, or better known by his pirate persona, Black Beard, who's ghost is still known to roam the seas, taking out cargo ships that took goods to other kingdoms and looting other pirate ships and looting their treasure. He was one who loved adventure, but was bound by the morales of a king. Well, until one day he just up and left on a large ship. A ship filled with over a thousand crew members and holding up to a hundred and fifty catapults, that were later replaced with a more powerful and somewhat accurate weapon, the cannons. At that time, weapons went from broad swords, to curved blades. And from there, the name "pirate" was reborn and King Jakovin was no more. Captain Black Beard was born. A man that was once a king, now a ruler of the seven seas. The specific time that this change occurred is not accurately known. It is only known that a big change was made.

--The Catastrophe--

---------

[The Power of a King Captain]

Now, it was already fascinating and mind blowing, that the fearless leaders of the seas were once king's, but what was really off the deck was the strange.....power that these king captains have. Some have a strange adventurous crown of fires that float above their heads as a sign of their former positions. Others have the ability to navigate the breezes of the sea, and some even have other strange powers/abilities. This power was known as Graceful Scurvy. Ironic, because scurvy was a common disease that some of the most recent pirates inhabited. But the name was suitable. Because those King Captains that have achieved this power have had near death experience from that very disease. It would last for a total of 3 horrible days, and can last to a total of a week long. This is also a sign to most captains of what crew members will carry on their name and legacy after they pass. Up to three crew members actually achieve this strange power because most crew members dont survive after going through this, because their bodies never recover. From what was observed, it seems that only a chosen few members of a crew would survive. It is very rare that more than 3 members survive such a sudden encounter. This power also seems to transfer memories from the the original king captains to the apprentice successors.

[Scurvy Gracelings]
The few lucky or unlucky crew members that catch wind of the Graceful Scurvy are known as Gracelings, because they have not yet became a King Captain. But that title is only held by the those who survive. Those who arent so lucky are known as Davey Jone's Shit. A disgraceful name for the ones that die. Sad really. The crew members that survive undergo 3 days of the empowering scurvy, and a extra day to recover fully from it in so little time, which would make it a total of 4 days. But of course, they just dont boom pow and become the next apprentice successor for a King Captain. They undergo a series of 3 tests, and only if they survive, will they become worthy enough.

((The Plank Trial))
The Plank Trial is what the 3 tests that the Gracelings undergo is called.

The first test, the Graceling will be placed in a barrel that has a rope tied around it, and sent down under the sea with the help of an anchor. They would stay there for a entire day, and if they are still alive after they are pulled out, then they would move on to the next test.

The second test of the Plank Trial, the Graceling will have to slay a creature of the see, and in the process, find out his/her special power/ability while in the danger of being killed by the creature.

The third test of the Plank Trial, the Graceling will have to simply.....knock the King Captain's hat from his head. Simple right? Wrong. Remember that they will be trying to do that while battling with their King Captain, which is easier said that done. But only then would the Graceling be deemed necessary. But there is a secret behind the third test.
--------------------

[Purpose of the Once Upon a Kings]

The big question still remains. What influenced kings to become captains of pirate fleets? Was it some sort of valuable treasure? Maybe. Was it a quest for more power? To gather more forces? Kind of. Yet, it is the simplest answer. Their purpose for this change was for the thrill of adventure. The thrill of battling at sea. AND in fact, to find a very distinct and legendary treasure of artifacts called Davy's Fortune that could possibly make them more than a legend. A treasure that could change the world....AGAIN. But this treasure has been impossible to find for the last hundreds of years. Even so.....the adventure is definitely worth it!!

((Three Ships of Legend))

*There are going to be three ships that this is going to revolve around, and all three are going to meet up at some point further along. These three ships are the Snap Fortuna, the Mangy Cutlass, and the Festering Rover.
-------------------

Rules and Expectations:
-Okay, so you dont have to talk like a full blown pirates, but atleast throw a little of their vocabulary in here and there. Of course I would say that this is somewhat of a modern/back then mixture.

-Of course, no godmodding. It slows progress and dulls everything.

-Try to reduce the amounts of one liners.

-Two to three characters per rper. There are going to be two or three ships that this entire thing revolves around. Please inform me if you have the idea of adding anything more.

-Uhhh.....pie? XD That is all.

Crew Member Roles and Duties:

1st Mate

The first mate on a pirate ship is the man the Captain picks as his second in command. In the event the Captain is killed the job falls to the quartermaster. Some ships also had second, third, even forth mates creating a chain of command. Some pirate ship crews had this position as the captain's right-hand man and the one who would assume his role if he were killed in battle or could no longer perform his duties. This was often considered the job of a lieutenant in a regular navy, and on most pirate ships the quartermaster and First Mate were often the same person.

Quartermaster

The quartermaster is next in line after the captain in exercising authority over the crew. His authority on the ship takes up where the captain’s leaves off. Whenever the ship is not in chase or battle, the quartermaster makes most of the decisions regarding the day-to-day ship activities.
The Quartermasters main purpose was the distribution of things. He distributed rations, powder, work, prize, and punishment. Pirates didn't trust authority and therefore saw no reason to let all the power of a ship rest on one man. Therefore they split the power between the Captain, who led the ship in battle and navigated the ship, and the Quartermaster, who usually led the way on any boarding party, and kept custody of all prize or booty. As expected all gold, silver, or coin was taken, but beyond that, it was the quartermaster who decided what else was worth taking. He made his decisions based on time and on how much room the ship had. If the ship was already cramped, spices and exotic materials may be burned rather that stolen.

During the Golden Age of Piracy, most British and Anglo-American pirates delegated unusual amounts of authority to the Quartermaster who became almost the Captain's equal. The Captain retained unlimited authority during battle, but otherwise he was subject to the Quartermaster in many routine matters. The Quartermaster was sometimes elected by the crew to represent their interests and he received an extra share of the booty when it was divided. Above all, he protected the Seaman against each other by maintaining order, settling quarrels, and distributing food and other essentials.

The quartermaster also watched over the treasure until it was divided among the crew. The quartermaster who did the dividing, with the crew's supervision, and there was rarely a dispute about how the loot was divided. The quartermaster also settled individual quarrels and if need be, acted as a witness to any duels, to insure that duels were fair and just.

Serious crimes were tried by a jury of the crew, but the Quartermaster could punish minor offenses. Only he could flog a seaman after a vote from the Crew. The Quartermaster usually kept the records and account books for the ship. He also took part in all battles and often led the attacks by the boarding parties. If the pirates were successful, he decided what plunder to take. If the pirates decide to keep a captured ship, the Quartermaster often took over as the Captain of that ship.

Boatswain / Bos'n / Bosun

This position may be compared to the modern chief petty officer. The Boatswain supervised the maintenance of the vessel and its supply stores. He was responsible for inspecting the ship and it's sails and rigging each morning, and reporting their state to the captain. The Boatswain was also in charge of all deck activities, including weighing and dropping anchor, and the handling of the sails. A ship of any size would require the boatswain to oversee several junior officers who would share his responsibility for the crew's morale and work efficiency as well as the maintenance and repair of the hull, rigging, lines, cables, sails, and anchors.
Bosun's Mate

A Note on Mates:

On a large ship there was usually more than one Mate aboard. The Mate served as apprentice to the Ship's Master, Boatswain, Carpenter and/or Gunner. He took care of the fitting out of the vessel, and examined whether it was sufficiently provided with ropes, pulleys, sails, and all the other rigging that was necessary for the voyage. The Mate took care of hoisting the anchor, and during a voyage he checked the tackle once a day. If he observed anything amiss, he would report it to the ship's Master. Arriving at a port, the mate caused the cables and anchors to be repaired, and took care of the management of the sails, yards and mooring of the ship.

Ship Master / Sailing Master

This is the officer who is in charge of navigation and the sailing of the ship. He directs the course and looks after the maps and instruments necessary for navigation. Since the charts are often inaccurate or nonexistent, his job is a difficult one. It is said that a good navigator is worth his weight in gold. He is perhaps the most valued person aboard a ship other than the captain because so much depended upon his skill. Many Sailing Masters are forced into pirate service.

Master Carpenter

A person in this apprenticed trade worked under the direction of the ship's Master and/or Boatswain using their skill to not only repair battle damage to masts, yards, hatches, and the hull, but to keep the ship's leaky seams in check with wooden plugs and oakum fibers. He would often have separate quarters combined with a workspace. Each carpenter would usually have an assistant in apprenticeship. There could probably be no more highly regarded artisan in a pirate ship crew when your life and livelihood depended on the soundness of the wood around and beneath you.

Carpenter's Mate
See "A note on Mates" above.

Master Gunner

The Master Gunner is responsible for the ship's guns and ammunition. This includes sifting the powder to keep it dry and prevent it from separating, insuring the cannon balls were kept free of rust, and all weapons were kept in good repair. A knowledgeable Gunner is essential to the crew's safety and effective use of their weapons.

Gunners

A gunner would be the leader of any separate group manning the artillery. His special skill would be in aiming, but he would oversee the four to six men required to take the gun through the steps of loading, aiming, firing, resetting, and swabbing for the next load. He would also work to ensure the gun crew's safety in avoiding dangerous overheating or excessive recoiling of the weapon. A master gunner would help to coordinate the timing and accuracy of the individual crews, especially when a broadside was ordered.

Sailmakers

In charge of maintaining all of the fabrics and canvases of the ship. Sails, Flags, hammocks, etc.

Surgeon

Another highly valued position, surgeons would often be grabbed from crews of captured ships, although they would not be ordinarily be asked to sign the articles. He would be expected to deal with colds, fevers, or sexual diseases with an assortment of mercurial medicines or other current treatments, and the carnage of battle often required amputations in hopes of saving the wounded. In the lack of a surgeon, a carpenter or even a cook would be asked to fill in. A carpenter would be certain to have the similar tools and cutting experience, but a cook as a surgeon would be quite a stretch.

Cook

More often than not, a cook would be a disabled pirate who was allowed to stay on ship if he could make food that didn't kill crewmembers. Perhaps it was felt that if a pirate crew survived his cooking, he could make something to help heal as a stand-in surgeon.

Cooper

If a pirate captain was fortunate enough to have a prosperous career, perhaps he could afford the services of a cooper, a barrel maker. Most everything not in a crate or canvas bag was in a barrel. Using steel hoops and strong wood, the cooper would make containers to keep gunpowder dry, food free of pests, and water and spirits from leaking into the bilge. With a changing environment and the constant shifting of the cargo, the hoops and staves of the barrels required constant upkeep to remain intact and tight.

Musicians

Those who could play drums, bagpipes, trumpets, accordions, fiddles, and other instruments were so well liked that they escaped torture if captured by pirates. With entertainment at a premium on most uneventful days at sea, they would be expected to play a jig to dance to, lead a shanty for work tempo, or provide dinner music. Musicians would usually play prior to and during a battle, blaring out martial tunes, nautical favorites, or simple loud noise to inspire the crew.

Able Seamen

The common sailor, which was the backbone of the ship, needed to know the rigging and the sails. As well as how to steer the ship and applying it to the purposes of navigation. He needed to know how to read the skies, weather, winds and most importantly the moods of his commanders.

Striker

Often overlooked, the Striker was a native of the West Indies , typically from Darien or the Mosquito Coast . They were expert hunters who trapped sea turtles and manatees; fished for sharks and other large fish; and also hunted wild game when the crew came ashore. Their knowledge of local plants aided in collecting edible fruits and vegetables as well as medicinal plants and herbs. Their expert ability at hunting and fishing earned them a spot among the crew, Their hatred of Spain assured their loyalty and ferocity in battle. They were not kept aboard for their seamanship, their job was to catch fish and kill Spaniards.

Cabin Boys/Girls

The cabin boy is typically a young boy of privileged birth who is sent to sea to learn the maritime trade. Typically the cabin boy waits upon the officers of the ship. In some instances he may act as the Captain's servant. The cabin boy will run messages and errands for the officers, prepare their uniforms, perhaps even fetch their dinners. Because he is an apprentice of sorts, he is also expected to learn all aspects of the maritime trade. The cabin boy works long hard hours. Even on pirate ships, the captain might employ a young energetic fellow as a cabin boy.

Powder Monkeys

Many powder monkeys were probably pressed into service, being kidnapped by press gangs and forced to serve aboard ship. Often the powder monkeys were young lads no more than eleven to thirteen years old. They mainly assisted the gun crews and learned most of the ships basics but were paid little (if anything), treated poorly, and were expendable. If they managed to live a few years, they might eventually make it to a position of more importance on the ship. Often, due to their harsh life, powder monkeys were quick to sign articles and desert a ship. On a pirate ship, new comers would serve the function of powder monkeys.

Swab/Swabbie

Generally the crew member that mops the decks with swabs.

Ember smiled a little again. "I would. They are lovely. It truly has the makings of being a perfect day. The seas are calm, there is just enough of a breeze to keep the ships going, and the temperature is perfect." She says. It was too bad she didn't trust it to stay like this. She paused for a moment as there was a knock at the door. "Excuse me Captain." She says going to the door. The food was there. She brought it over, setting it up on the small dining table in her room, big enough for three people other than herself for when she held council and meetings.

************************

Echo rested her hands on his shoulders and looked over his shoulder. At the paper. She smiled a little. She had a feeling it meant something. The question was just what. "Do you think...well I guess I see burn marks and I think of your grace...do you think something similar to your grace had anything to do with it? Or maybe it survived a fire long ago." She says, most just thinking out loud.

Derek smiled and repeated the same action, hitting her in the same place. This time though he held her hips down, not wanting her to move from the position where he could please her so much.

Kaptain Mehoy sipped from his drink once more. "If this is the weather that would rather please you to a manner that your smile is this noticeable, then i'll see to it personally that it remains so." He gratefully took a small portion of the food with a nod before taking a bite of it after saying a small line of poetry with his eyes closed. It had been a while since he had really eaten anything. In the past, he had gone long periods of time without eating anything, and his body had adapted to that manner on it's own. Now it was useful when resources were low, and he thought about the crew before himself.
____________

"I can agree that it is in relations to my grace, no doubt. I think this might have been with the captain during the third trial." Law answered. "But maybe a part of a bigger whole." And that's when his eyes drifted to the map that was laid across the desk.
____________

Margret let out another loud moan as she felt that particular spot come in contact with his tongue again. She couldnt help but try to raise her hips more towards him, for the pleasure wouldnt allow her to remain still.

Ember looked up to him, studying him for a moment before smiling a little and inclining her head slightly in thanks. "Thank you Kaptain." She says. She then looked to her food again and smiled a little to herself as she picked up a piece of the salted pork and ate some. She had never had someone even try to be so considerate towards her for something so simple. "I want to also thank you for agreeing to at least eat with me." She adds, looking up to him.

***********************

She followed his gaze and smiled a little. She walked over to where the map was laying across the desk and started looking over it, searching for where it could show it was part of another piece.

Derek grinned as he kept pleasuring her, going a little deeper and trying to please her more. He wouldn't stop until he made her release too just as she had done to him.
over a year ago Liquidz-Flamez said…
"There would be no reason for you to thank me for something that many should agree to do. You are in fact, a beautiful, powerful and skilled captain are you not? You've allowed me aboard your ship and agreed to assist me on my quest. Having a meal and beverage with you is partially the least I could do." Mehoy said as he took another bite of his pork. He paused for a moment to swallow after chewing, then taking another sip of his drink.
____________

Around the edges of the page down at the bottom of the map to the left, a very minuscule piece of the map was peeling off. But Law didnt seem to exactly notice it as he went to expecting the back of the smaller sectioned map.
over a year ago BlackSparrow said…
Ember had to look down as he complimented her, a slight blush covering her cheeks. She hadn't exactly been complimented in such a way before, or really ever at all. She looked back to Mehoy and smiled gently. "Thank you...again. Perhaps we could try to dine at least once together every day. Call it even. I must admit I quite enjoy your company." She says, trying to keep as much of her 'Captain's tone' as possible without sounding rude.

*****************

Echo missed it at first but as she started looking around the map she saw it. She was about to skip over it again but then paused. "Hey Law?" She says to get his attention. At this point she knew she was grasping at straws. She didn't know what to look for.
over a year ago Liquidz-Flamez said…
"Consider it done. I, myself enjoy being in your company." Kaptain Mehoy looked at her and that same charming smile came to his face. He didnt know what it was that he began to feel. Something so familiar, but so distant as well. There was more to just being in her company, but he let the thought shift away. His entire mood and tone remained as lazy, sharpened, and relaxed as it had when they had first came across each other on the island. That seemed to be something that would never change unless there was something bothering him at thought.
___________

"Hm?" Law said as he looked from what he was doing at the map. "What is it?" He said, scanning over the map. "Did you find something?" He looked to her for an answer. He could tell that she was doubting herself again just by looking into her eyes.
over a year ago BlackSparrow said…
Ember smiled again and turned her attention back to the food in front of her. She ate a little more of it and then smiled some. She got up and poured two glasses of water, bringing one back to him. "Today is just sailing towards our course right?" She asks him. As far as she knew there were no stops or anything. Just, hopefully, easy sailing.

*************************

"This," she says, moving to the side a little as she showed him the corner that was peeling a little. She looked at it more closely. It actually sort of looked like water damage at one point and now with age it was starting to peel from itself.
over a year ago Liquidz-Flamez said…
"I believe so." Kaptain concluded as he gently took the cup of water that she offered him after he had finished his meal. "Since the seas are ate such ease and gentle terms, straight forward sailing is all that is left." He drank his glass of water until it was halfway full before placing it on the table. "Worries should be at a minimum, and if anything occurs, I will surely take care of it."
____________

Law stared at the corner of the map that was peeling off a bit and he reached to peel it off. As he did, he watched as the area under the peeling seemed to be blank, as if it were something missing."
over a year ago BlackSparrow said…
She smiled a little again. "Thank you Mr. Mehoy." She says gently, taking another small sip of her water. "Do you mind if I ask you a personal question?" She asks. Ever since her mind had been on her previous husbands she wanted to speak with someone who had experienced something similar. As hard as it may be she hadn't had anyone who she could speak to and it had been bothering her more than usual as of late. But even as she asked she realized that wasn't a path they should go down. "Actually, is there anything else I can get for you?"

***********************

"It could just be age Law." She says. She moved to start checking other places. Or to see if there were more spots similar to the corner. Either way she wanted to find out if it was something important or not.
over a year ago Liquidz-Flamez said…
"No, not at all, and please, ask what you feel needs to be asked. I've also been told to be quite the listener." Kaptain Mehoy said with a small chuckle. "Come, sit, and you can speak as freely as you wish to." He said while taking a small sip of his water.

Law finished removing the peeling section to reveal the blank area and stared at. He then looked at the section of map that they had gotten out of the bottle and looked at Echo before placing it in the area that the blankness was, though he had to move it around and rotate it until it finally fit. "Ta-daaaa."

Embed hesitated a moment. "I ask first that after this you don't judge me either as a Captain or as me because of it. Any other reason I do not care." She says with the slightest smile but then the smile was gone. "Yesterday you spoke of your wife. I wanted to ask how long she has been gone and how you deal with the pain and heartache her absence brings. In all of my years I have very rarely met another King Caltain who has had a spouse. And after losing my children and first husband and then later my second husband. I do not know how to cope with that particular type of pain." She says quietly, deciding to leave out that more pain came from knowing she could have saved some of them. "I guess what I am asking is for your story, or advice." She adds, watching him carefully.

************************

Echo looked to the piece and then to Law and then back again. She saw it fit in the blank piece of paper but not with how it fit with the rest. She couldn't help sming though at his exclamation. She tilted her hard to the side slightly, looking for how it fit and finally, thinking at least, that she saw it.

Kaptain Mehoy was silent for a moment and he sat his glass of water down slowly. "I do not judge someone of their situation, especially if their hearts are clear. My wife has been gone for many....many years now. She was aboard my crew when that creature of madness had attacked and took the lives of all of my crew members. It was never a question of dealing with the pain. I to thought that finding a way to deal with it would bring me resolution to my aching heart and my mind that was blistered with sorrows deeper than the gashing or slashes that any blade or grace could ever be. I traveled the seas in search for answers. My mind constantly shut itself away to imagine what it would have been like to have her in my arms again, close to my heart. But I came to learn that only more pain was being inflicted upon both my heart, and my mentality. So instead of dealing with it, I embraced it. And with such an embrace was born a will that burned along with the tears that I had shed. Out of that embrace came the answer that I would never let anyone held close to me in any fashion meet such a demise again. I made it my responsibility to protect them with my own life. My brother was lost, along with my father and mother. They were the first to be taken before my wife. All of those sorrows became a striving strength. There isnt a way to keep the void left in my heart closed, unless it is filled with something that is worth valuing. Not gold. Not treasure. Nor the finest wines. But the ability to move forward. My wife's last words to me were to protect my children. To remember her death not in vain or sorrow, but in the most joyful memories and moments. And to move on and never let go of something that I can fight for." He closed his eyes for a moment, drinking the rest of his water. "And the same went for my crew. Their deaths would be put to shame if their King Captain was left in a shamble of self pity and sadness."
______________

Law furrowed his brow for a moment as he began to trace around the map with his finger, and saw that there were red X's and lines that began to appear as the piece of map began to melt into the whole before becoming as if it had never been taken away in the first place. More details began to reveal themselves slowly and he watched in amazement and focus.

Ember nodded a little in understanding. But she stayed silent for a moment longer. "Thank you." She says quietly. She had known what he said. But something about hearing him say it and seeing how he was with himself and his crew helped her. "When my first husband was killed, he asked me to protect our children. They were killed the same night, and I was left for dead. That was before I became a pirate. An ironic turn of events really." She says quietly. She wanted to tell him. Wanted someone to know the secrets she had been carrying for years. But she also did not think he would much care or, even if he understood why she was telling him, not understand at the same time. She took a deep breath and drank more of her water, giving him a gentle smile. "Thank you for telling me. Believe it or not it helps to hear it rather than just knowing it is what should be done."

********************

Echo's eyes widened a little and then she smiled some. "That's amazing." She says quietly, leaning in close to him and looking over his shoulder at what the map was doing. She smiled even more. "I suppose that is a nice answer to the puzzle. Do you think there are more things like that?" She asks.

Kaptain Mehoy stood from his seat and went to her. He placed his hand gently on her face and lifted it ever so slightly to his. "If something remains constant in the world of your life, then something you are doing isnt right. If it comes to whether you truly love someone enough and he leaves you to die, then it only means that you have yet to find the right person to right your wrong. Do not doubt that I am willing to listen to every word that you speak, that as a captain....no, as one that is made of flesh and has many heart wounds that I will understand. And even if I may not, empathy is always there to help me do so." He looked into her eyes, finding himself being very drawn to them for a moment before he gave a smile. "I am joyed that I was able to assist you in understanding. Be strong. Stay strong. And keep striving to move forward." He turned and went towards the door. "I will keep both of the ships on course. In the meantime, I can only insist that you relax yourself and rest for once. My thoughts tell me that you havent done so it quiet some time." And with those as his final words, he left.
____________

Law only shook his head slightly. "I dont think that anyone could put something like this together....only that captain would beable to hide something in plain side for this long without us even catching on." He stared at the Xs but one that stood out the most was the largest one that had a complexion of gold. "There....that's where we need to be heading....." but then he realized where the X was located. "The sea of a Siren's Despair...."

Ember watched as he left and as soon as the door had shut her entire body relaxed and she let out a breath she hadn't realized she had been holding. She slumped into her chair and rested her head on her hands so her hands were covering her face. Her body trembled a little, as if she were crying, but when she brought her head back up there was no sign of her having done so. She went to the door and placed her hand on the knob with the intention to leave and get back to work but then she paused. He had said to relax, she didn't know if she really could. Instead she went to her desk and pulled out four sheets of what looked like centuries old parchment, with it four small containers of what looked like a deep dark red ink...or perhaps blood. She picked one and took off the stopper, then closed her eyes and conjured the image of her first husband. She lifted her hand and directed the liquid into the paper, creating a stunning likeness of his portrait. And then she moved on and did the same with the other three, using a different container of liquid each time, and making one of her own two children as she recalled them and her second husband. When she had finished she felt...lighter somehow. She looked at each portrait lovingly as it dried and then rolled them up and placed them back in the drawer along with the remaining liquid. She knew many hours had passed but she did feel more relaxed and at ease.

"No..." Echo muttered quietly. She sighed a little. "At least we know one person on this ship would survive," she teased quietly but there wasn't much behind it. She knew how serious going somewhere like that was and how dangerous. "Do you think sirens still live there like they used to? At least according to legends."

"I have no doubt in my mind that they will. But....I want to hear one of their songs." Law said. "I want to see what is so drawingly intriguing about them. And more than ever now....I want to find what lies there, wherever this mark may lead us." He said as he stood up before taking her hand in his, and kissing her with a deep passion and love. When he pulled away after long seconds, he smiled. "We did it. We figured all of this out...together."
____________

Kaptain Mehoy stood at the deck of the ship, watching as many birds flew over head and his eyes gazed out at the sea. A smile pulled itself across his face as he saw the reflection of the sun move across the water as it rippled for a moment. The weather was still just as nice as it was before. He placed his hand on the rail before climbing on top of it and jumping off, disappearing from sight, only to appear on his boat, watching the sea now from a closer view.

Marget let out a small scream and gripped onto his hair tightly, feeling that sensation spot of hers being hit directly and feeling the enormous flow of pleasure tear through her body as she felt herself nearing a large building release. She didnt want him to stop. She loved the way his tongue felt inside her.

Derek smiled. That was exactly the sort of reaction he wanted from her and it only encouraged him to do more. He loved her taste and scent, he lived the way she moved and screamed and moaned. He smiled a little again and went just slightly deeper and then went back to where he knew he was hitting her sweet spots.
over a year ago BlackSparrow said…
Echo smiled brightly, kissing him again. "We did didn't we." She says. She smiled again. "I will let you listen to the Siren's song, but you are not letting go of my hand the entire time okay?" She says. Wanting to make sure that she did not lose him to something like Sirens.

*********************

Ember stepped out of her quarters and looked up, taking a deep breath in and smiling. The day really was perfect. She smiled even more. She probably had smiled more this day than she had in the last few decades. She looked to the other ship, and then around hers. Derek must still be there, with Margret. She just shook her head a little and went up to the helm, dismissing the helmsman for the time and taking his place for a little while.
over a year ago Liquidz-Flamez said…
"Oh Derek!! Y-yes! Just like that! Right there! RIGHT THERE! OOH!!" Margret moaned loudly and she couldnt contain herself any longer. She began to pant heavily and moan uncontrollably before she reached a beautiful climax, her back arching as she released her juices all at once, her body trembling violently as it was followed by a second release as well.
_________

Kaptain Mehoy looked up at the clouds and saw something that caught his attention fully. The clouds....there were two pieces that seemed to be two halves of a broken heart, and they slowly, but surely began to come together as one. He watched as the two halves neared each other before finally connecting after minutes had passed.
_________

Law nodded. "I'll make sure to keep my hand in your grasp." He said. "The Siren's songs maybe something with a beauty that many have died to, but I dont think anything is more beautiful than you, the woman that stands with me now through thick and thin. I love you....and I thank you for helping me piece all of this together."
over a year ago fangfan7 said…
Derek smiled. That was exactly what he had wanted. He licked up her release, taking in every bit of her, breathing unevenly as he became more excited in response to her reaction. When she had finished and he cleaned up everything he could, he trailed his kisses back up her body. And then stopped as he was level with her again, propping himself up to he wouldn't crush her but their bodies still firmly pressed together. "That was exactly what I wanted babe," he says, his gaze full of love and lust as he kissed her deeply.

Echo smiled a little, blushing furiously. She stood on her toes and gently kisses his cheek. "I will always stand by your side, now and forever more." She says quietly. "You have no need to thank me for something I would gladly do time and time again, if only so I can be near you and with you." She adds gently.

************************

Ember looked up just as the two pieces of the cloud were joining and she couldn't help smiling again. Something about it tugged at her, drew her attention fully to it. She could take her eyes from the heart-like shape until gradually it drifted away and she turned her gaze forward again. Smiling once more.

Margret's body still reacted in the sense of pleasure and trembled more as he kissed her, and she kissed back with lust and satisfaction. She wrapped her arms around him, loving the way he was so close to her. She forced her tongue passed his lips and let it ravish along his, rubbing against it roughly. She couldnt get enough of him.

Law couldnt help but smile at her words and bring her close to him in a hug. "And I...will stay by your side forever and always. As your lover, your friend, your comrade. Whatever it takes. There is no way that I would leave you.....for anything. Even when eternity sets in, I will still have my hand around yours in reassurance."
______________

Kaptain Mehoy smiled as he watched the clouds drift away before his very eyes. He looked out at the see once more and a new sense began to feel his reason. It was more than something he could just brush to the side and tend to later. It was something that he felt strong inside of him.

Echo smiled as she hugged him back. Closing her eyes as she rested her head against his chest. "Gods, I never knew I could love someone so much." She mutters with a smile. "And I do love you so, so much." She adds. Moving her head and tilting it so she could look up at him, her chin resting against his chest still.

Ember sighed and then her attention was drawn by a small squabble going on between one of her crew and Margret's crew. Something harmless she was sure. She stepped down and walked over to the two men and they quickly silenced.
"What's going on here?" She asks firmly, and emotionlessly. Her man looked down, ashamed and then looked back up.
"Your man stole from us Ma'am." The one from Margret's crew said.
"Did he now?" Ember asks, her gaze turning to her man. "Is that true?" She asks. He shook his head vigorously.
"N-no Captain." He says quickly. She frowned a little. They were both telling the truth.
"Are you sure it was not something misplaced during the festivities?" She asks. "How about the two of you look for whatever is missing. If you cannot find it, I will personally make sure its value is replaced." She says, leaving no room for question.
"Yes Ma'am," the other crew member said.
"Captain." Her man said at the same time before they both went off to search. It was like dealing with children sometimes. At least it didn't become a quarrel. Perhaps the lovely day was helping to keep everyone calm.

Derek smiled into their passionate kiss. He himself could not get enough of her. After many moments though he gradually pulled away from her. Showering kisses along her neck, and then smiling mischievously he gently bit just above her collar bone and sucked a little, leaving a small mark before kissing her lips again. "You know, while I wouldn't mind spending all day in bed with you. We should probably spend at least an hour among our crews." He suggests. He knew it was later in the day, of course he didn't care but he had a feeling Margret may not be as pleased about it.

_________

Kaptain Mehoy closed his eyes as a soft breeze blew along the seas and fluffed the sails of both of the ships just as well as his boat. He took in a deep breath of air before his eyes opened once more and be chuckled slightly. What was he feeling in his chest now? What could it possibly be? Something so familiar, yet so far. He looked at the Festering Rover and smiled more than before. His thoughts shifted to his children, Law and Margret. Maybe he didnt have to meet his death just yet....

She was a little surprised, but it didn't stop her from enjoying it. She wrapped her arms around his neck and hugged herself to him. A warm fuzzy feeling filled her chest and butterflies were racing around her stomach at break neck speed. She wanted to smile, to laugh with joy, but her mind was too focused on the kiss and being in his arms.

Ember looked around and saw Mehoy looking at the ship. She couldn't help but smile some as she returned to her place on the helm. She didn't mind the job and she liked giving the helmsman a break for a time. Not to mention, knowing Mehoy was helping guide the ships helped keep her...oddly relaxed.

Law pulled her closer to her with his hands wrapped around her waste and pulled away only to smile as he looked into her eyes and found more than love for her. He would give anything to stay with her and that wasnt going to change. He wanted her to remain happy as long as she was with him. He kissed her again and again, unable to resist the beauty of her and the soft sensation of her lips. "I love you so much...." He said once more.

Echo smiled, the butterflies in her stomach only increasing. She kissed him back every time, not able to get enough of him. "Law...I was thinking that maybe...well if we find the Captain again, maybe he could marry us." She suggests quietly and shyly. Afraid maybe he wouldn't want that or that he would think it was silly or something.

Law looked at her with a puzzled expression. "The Captain?" He went into thought. "That sounds pretty damn cool....." He said more to himself than to her. He blinked before smiling. "It's considerable. I wouldnt mind that being a memory for us. I'm sure that it'll be a lot of fun too."
_____________

As time began to pass, Kaptain Mehoy noticed something about the sea. The surface of the waters were becoming thicker and shallower. His first guess was that they were starting to sail across a double sea. It was when the waters of two seas combined in layers and became deeper than any normal body of water, which caused the thickness on the surface. That would slow the ship down a little most likely. But he knew that if they had to move quicker, he could do something about it.
over a year ago BlackSparrow said…
Echo couldn't help smiling as he said that and she hugged him. "So you agree then. But I guess we'd have to find him first." She says more to herself than to him. She sighed a little and stood on her toes to kiss his cheek. "What do we do for now?" She asks. "Give the new heading to the navigator?"

****************************

Ember frowned and looked over the edge of her ship. She went through her memories of what she had learned and places she had been to and knew to avoid. She sort of remembered what this place was. She was pretty sure she had been here when she was very young. But it was such a distant memory that she wasn't totally sure.

Law was about to answer, but then he put his hand to his head for a moment. His mind began to ache. "No....not just yet." He answered finally after seconds had passed. "It's best that we keep it off until tomorrow, so that everyone can be ready and well prepared for what comes next."
__________

As he felt the air began to shift from what it had been in the early morning to a more mukish, hot feeling, Kaptain drew one of his swords. The feeling of this place itched at his mind, reminding him briefly of how it felt when he chased down the darkness that had changed him forever. "But now.....a blade cuts through all." At his words, a gleam ran across his sword before he swung it across the air in front of him and the wind shifted and grew violent for a short moment before calming and returning to the nice breeze that it was at before. The path in which both of the ships sailed was set on a much clear water that returned back to the shallower version as the ships passed through it.
_________

Margret's eyes were dazed for a moment, and even when he had pulled up, her arms stayed clinging around him as much as they could before she came to her senses and her fuzzy thoughts cleared. "T-the crew? Oh....that's right...." She said as if she had forgotten briefly where they were.

Echo looked at him a little worried. "Alright." She says quietly. "Law why don't you lie down and rest okay?" She suggests gently, wondering if that was what he really needed. But she didn't think he had really been resting enough for how much energy his grace seemed to drain sometimes.

His eyes glazed over for a moment before they began to drift close.

Derek laughed a little and kissed her lightly. "I mean, if you really want we can just stay here like this the rest of the day. We don't have much of the day left anyway." She says with a gentle smile. So maybe they still had like four hours of daylight, but still.

"Law!" She said in surprise, moving to him quickly and checking to make sure he was alright. She let out a small sigh of relief when she realized he had just seemed to have called asleep. She smiled softly and ran her fingers through his hair gently before looking around. She couldn't imagine he'd be very comfortable like that. She smiled gently and went to get two of the crew men and asked them to carefully and gently carry Law to her quarters. She hoped he wouldn't be mad at her for it, but she also knew he would wake with an awful headache, sore neck, and aching back if he had statues in the position he was in. They did as she asked and then she excused them while she made sure Law would be comfortable in her bed.

Margret thought for a long moment. She had to debate whether to stay or to get back to her position as captain. Derek's offer sounded so...---her mind trailed off into a small daydream before she came back to. On the other hand, she still had a duty to tend to. And besides, she wasnt to sure of Ember letting her keep him the entire day. "Maybe...we should get out of here for a while. I'm sure that Ember is awaiting your return, and I dont want you to be scolded because of me." She caressed his cheeks in her hands and leaned up a little to place a soft kiss on his forehead. "And to top that, i'll have to move around a bit to work off the soreness." Though she didnt feel as sore as she had before.

Law slept peacefully in the bed of his lover and his breathing stayed steady. Just like what had happened with Lawrence, a flame appeared on his head and began to spread across the room. She wanted to lie beside him but she didn't know if she should, she was a little too restless for that. What was she going to do....what were THEY going to do at the end? How would she handle it? How would he handle it? There were so many questions that ate at her mind that she knew she had to come to a conclusion that her heart could bare to agree with.
