How do you feel about people who make spots about themselves?

Personally, I don't have a problem with it. I think it would be cool to have one. You could post all of your favorite things in one place. But what do you think?

fanpop forbids them, and i persoanlly think they are pointless. i mean, what is different about a personal spot that your own profile can't offer? if you want fans, ask people to fan your profile. if you want to organize your favorite content, there is a feature on almost everything that allows you to save it to your profile, by the content type. if you want to attract attention, open a forum or submit content! fanpop forbids them because fanpop itself has a massive fanbase, and if everyone had their own fanclub, it would overrun the site, causing it to slow down or crash, which would be a bad thing all around!

I'm sorry, but Fanpop is for joining Fanclubs where people share a common interest in (hence "What are you a fan of"), not social networking place where you try to meet people and compete for the number of fans in YOUR spot or post stuff about day. Keep that to other places like MySpace or Facebook or whatever.
The reason I go on here is because this is a different place, fans get to discuss and contribute things that they find on the internet about something they enjoy. But obviously humans have a selfish nature and likes to make everything about ourselves.
