If. . .

there were many veterans that were on Fanpop and they wanted to hear from you, what would you say?

Me:

On Veteran’s Day we honor
Soldiers who protect our nation.
For their service as our warriors,
They deserve our admiration.
Some of them were drafted;
Some were volunteers;
For some it was just yesterday;
For some it’s been many years;
In the jungle or the desert,
On land or on the sea,
They did whatever was assigned
To produce a victory.
Some came back; some didn’t.
They defended us everywhere.
Some saw combat; some rode a desk;
All of them did their share.
No matter what the duty,
For low pay and little glory,
These soldiers gave up normal lives,
For duties mundane and gory.
Let every veteran be honored;
Don’t let politics get in the way.
Without them, freedom would have died;
What they did, we can’t repay.
We owe so much to them,
Who kept us safe from terror,
So when we see a uniform,
Let’s say "thank you" to every wearer.

God bless them all.

That was awfully rude. Grow up and type an intelligent response for a change.

I don't have a routine or a special thing of doing something like this on Memorial Day, though I respect the soldiers that have served are country.

Yeah, you can never say enough for what they've done.

We thank you for everything you've done
For all those fought battles, both lost and won
And living and dying for this country you serve
And getting the courage, getting the nerve:

To leave your family, friends and home,
In hope of a better world to come,
To fight, even at the cost of your life,
To help,knowing you're saving hundreds of lives.

This goes to all who have served in their life,
Who've seen it all, both truce and strife,
And everything that's in the middle,
'Thank you' for your service, no matter how big or little.

Thank you for living and dying for this country. You may be gone, but never forgotten. God bless you all.
