ls anime for nerds and geeks?

1. Anime is for everyone.
2. Stop with the labeling and the stereotyping because

4. If someone is so bothered about something as small as people enjoying anime, I think it's a sign that (s)he needs to get a life.

Anime over in Japan is usually watched by two kinds of people.

1. Children. (No shit.)

2. Japanese versions of trekkies. Y'know, sci-fi nerds.

But it all boils down to your opinion, really. Who gives a fuck if you watch anime? It doesn't make you less of a nerd or geek. A nerd or geek by my standards are these generic hip-hop illiterates that are "Ballin'" (Or in Internet Engrish: "Trollin'") and who just fail at life. Then again, that's what I think, and if you think differently, that fine.

I watch anime, and does that label me a geek or nerd? No it doesn't.

And the fact you go on a site that says no virgins allowed is humouring to me. I think most of the Fanpop population would be breaking their number one rule if they went on there. (Because most of the Fanpop population are YOUNG TEENAGERS, not because they can't "get some.")

It can be, but it's really for everyone... Though most people I know are not cool enough to understand that there are people in the world who are not slaves to aeropostle and ridcule those who are different... Whoops I'm starting to ramble.... I blame the conformists!!
Anyway, Anime is something that everyone can share if they take the time to see that it doesn't suck. Even people who aren't into the whole culture can still enjoy some of the shows or books, without being obsessive.

I've never watched it, so I have no idea. :p It doesn't sound all its hyped up to be to me, but idk, only animes I know are Sailor Moon, Pokemon, Naruto, Bakugan and Dragon ball Z. (And I've never watched any if thise except the first two, soo...) Not sure :/ Kinda sounds like it though.

Well I is a nerd in Every subject and I is proud to be a major anime freak~ But my BFF Kelsey is one of the popular girls in school and she LOVES anime! So I think they are for everyone, no matter what y'all social status.

Anime is for anyone who likes and enjoys it... In Japan, anime is widely accepted as a normal thing and you can like it without being considered to be a nerd. So no.

If you like anime, you like anime. It's silly to slap a label on someone because of just one thing they like or don't like. Sure, there's plenty of "nerds" and "geeks" who like anime, but there's plenty of people who like anime that aren't either of those.
And besides, in Japan, it's not abnormal if you watch anime. Yes, there are some people in Japan who don't like anime and refuse to watch it. But unlike western cartoons, anime is made for all ages and all different types of people. You have your sci-fi, you have your romance, you have your dramas,you have your mystery, comedy, action, horror, children's, etc.
So since it comes with so many different genres and a variety of people watch it in it's origin, how is it only for nerds and geeks?

Anime can be enjoyed by everyone and anyone. You don't have to be a "geek/nerd" to watch it, nor do you become one by doing so. Sure, most people who view anime can become a little obsessive, and that speaks for itself. But some people, like me for instance, can love anime but still go on with their daily lives uninterrupted by this hobby. Otaku are people, too, and labeling them just makes you a douchebag. Man, now I know how Twihards feel.

I only watch the anime on AdultSwim and I enjoy watching every show, and that guy is obviously screwed up in the head.
