I have a long haired cat named after the Looney Tunes character, Sylvester.

No. But the next time I get a pet I might name it Light after Light Yagami from Death Note...

I actually named my cockatiel Cloud after Cloud Strife from FFVIII not cause I was a huge fan or anything. More cause I was thinking of what to name him and his dark gray bottom half and yellow head feathers reminded me of Cloud Strife for the moment so yeah XD

A good chunk of my pets have been named after fictional characters.

I have a guinea pig named Black Star, and I had another named Death the Kid though he passed away awhile ago.

Most of our current cats outside have been named after Harry Potter characrers, like Severus and Minerva. We also have a cat named Soul, after Soul from Soul Eater. We also had a cat named Maka after a character from the same anime. We've also had several named after Shakespeare characters.

I would have probably named my cat after a fictional character, too, had she been mine when we got her. But she was originally my sister's, so she got to name her.

My parents are picky with what are acceptable pet names, they don't like the idea of naming pets after things.

Although I named my bunny Roxy, because it was the closest I could get to naming it Roxas from Kingdom Hearts.

Yes, both Maxine and Martina were named after Mel Gibson's characters in the "Mad Max" series and "Lethal Weapon" series. I of course used the female equivalent of Max and Martin.
