How do people irl see your music tastes?

"Well... that's interesting, I guess? I could never get used to this kind of music."

- basically what everyone says, aside from the few people who listen to metal and are aware of all of the subgenres.

most ppl dont like kpop but i have 1 friend who listens to it, 1 friend who is ok with it, and 2 friends who hate it. the others dont have an opinion. but other ppl besides my friends dont know i listen to kpop, besides my sister... who hates bts but idk if it is just bts or kpop in general

My dad is the most vocal about his opinions and he basically says, "how is it that you listen to all of the best music but also some of the worst shit I've ever heard?" To answer his question, it's because I like all genres. He loves metal (which is my fave) but hates country (which I listen to a lot of).

My closest friend thinks that I have a bizarre taste.

And everyone else likes at least a few of the things I listen to and dislikes at least one or two things.

I honestly don't know how others view my music tastes honestly, I don't experience very many people expressing an opinion either way, but I'm basically the same way as zanhar1, I like any and all types of music. From dubstep and death metal to classical masterpieces composed in the 18th century and everything in between. I think I've been told on a few occasions by my mother something to the effect of "Wow, you sure like music." or something like that, but she's pretty much the same way in the sense that she likes a wide array of music as well. In fact, I think the only music she's ever expressed having a particular dislike towards is rap music, and even then there are some exceptions. Come to think of it though, she doesn't seem to be a big fan of the J-pop that I like either... XD

They are okay with it. I don’t really care. I Love it and that all it matters.

Tbh I really do not give a flying about what people think of my interests as a whole but it just so happens generally most people I have interacted with like my music taste.

I don't really show my music off that much but the time I did get a react to my taste in music was the song Shinee Lucifer from my mom and she actually did think it was really good song lol.

I've been told that some of the music I listen to is weird and bizarre, not that I even care. I like what I I like, same as others do. It's that simple. And I have been known to listen to the sounds of the planets.
