Relatable Characters

Authored by Riku114

INSERT/DISCLAIMER ABOUT MY PARTICULARITY OF MY LIST

I am a tad bit particular on my list and keeping it quite exclusive. There are a lot of other characters that I do find relatable, some series such as Kagerou Daze and K Project I could probably pull out several, but in order to keep this list unique, special, and actually something special for certain characters, a few not-strict criteria/tendencies are thought of before putting them on the list.

  1. The character MUST be relatable as it is a RELATABLE characters list. Usually however, most characters have a form of a click I get with their character that adds to it. A few of them have gotten on solely on the thought, analysis, and logic behind their character being relatable, but most of the higher ranking ones got with that and the click.
  2. They must have at least one major concept, belief, mindset, core part of their character, etc that matches strongly with my own or multiple minor ones.
  3. I have to feel compelled to add them. While they may fit all the characters above, I have to have a urge to add them onto the list.
  4. I do not like too many characters from one media appearing on the list. Thus, it annoys me when more than one appears. Two is tolerable and three is barely acceptable. Anything past that and I think it would hurt how special I view this list as. The "Pending" list that occasionally appears when Im playing through a media with a lot of them are not as strict and should not be taken as special / seriously. That section is mostly to jot down those who might as characters who caught my interest to return to later.

As someone who really enjoys looking into characters as relatable and all, I decided to make a list to keep track of them. They are kinda in most relatable to least, but not really honestly with how fluid this list is with my current mood and all. However, I think the first five are usually stuck within the top five most of the time.

Feel free to ask me about them - I may or may not explain why they are depending on how personal they relate and if Im willing to share.

EDIT: They are now instead of being in order placed into Tier systems. First Tier are ones that strike a little too close to home and are very similar either overall or EXTREMELY in at least one manner. I personally relate strongly to them. Second Tier is similar to the first but likely more specialized or general. Third Tier are just the relatable but not some of the first Id think about. If they have an (*) it means I think I might have to re-evaluate later.

FIRST TIER

Kano is pretty much one of the most notorious members of the list as he is both the first character to be on this list, the most notable character on this list, the number one character on this list, and the reason this list was created. Because of that, while I will try to keep the others short, Ill only try to keep Kano’s entry medium to kinda long. Kano goes back a while, all the way back to when I was first listening to the Mekakucity Actors songs and his theme really clicked with me. This only furthered to grow as his character was shown through the manga and anime.

Kano is commonly depicted as a collected character whom, even in the most depressing and dark times, can light up a smile and appear calm regardless. He is commonly seen as aloof, comedic, silly, and relaxed and often believes in keeping up this smile for those around him and those who he cares about. Because of this, Kano often takes on the responsibility of carrying other’s weight as if they were he own. On the other side of Kano that he rarely shows is that he is a highly cynical, mature, and miss-trusting. This goes sometimes to the point of believing he is useless which I personally feel is because he takes up too much responsibility upon himself that he could not have possibly imagined controlling. Practically all of this I find highly relatable to myself as a whole and his entire character really connects with me where I find it hard to find a place in his personality that I DONT relate with.

The other major part of Kano that I find relatable is the whole main concept Kano is created around. Kano has the ability to deceive and others on his appearance entirely, all the way up to even his expression which he uses frequently to hide his real emotions. This ability has lead him to be a “liar” about his life and his emotions, that to the point even he struggles to tell what of his is real and what of his is actually a lie, drawing a lot of confusion and tension between himself. As someone who used to actively lie to myself in order to help myself remain sane (yes, crazy as it is, its one of my mental health issues), I used to struggle with this immensely and even more when I stopped. When I told myself I had to stop with the lies, it practically lead into a major paranoia with myself over if I was being honest with myself or not, thus making Kano 900x more relatable since he appeared during this time. While I have gotten over that for the most of the part a while ago, Kano still remains as a highly relatable character. Enjoy his song here.

FIRST TIER

Ryouko Ookami is pretty much the other most notable character on this list. This is simply because I swear the anime was written after observing mine and Wanta’s friendship as Ryoushi and Ryouko are almost identical to Wanta and I respectively. Ryouko is a Tsundere character who is known for being a “sheep in wolf clothing” as in she acts tough, looks intimidating, is a tomboy, and is physically tough but when it comes down to reality, shes a rather soft person, who loves dogs, loves romances, and is really actually rather fragile. This, in essence, is the perfect description of what I am when you really get to know me.

On one hand, I am known for being insanely intimidating, especially at school, that to the point most people have called me scary, frightening, and have thought I hated them for a while. But for those that have actually gotten to know me and grown close, they can usually tell that Im just a really nice softy.

FIRST TIER

Akashi I find relatable because of his background and how he developed. Akashi was born into the highly distinguished family and, as the heir, his father put immense pressure for him to be the master of everything he did may it be academic, music, or sports. If he wasn’t the best at what he did, his privilege to do it would be taken away from him. It was because of this that being successful became “as natural as breathing” for him but it was also because of this that his childhood and life was put under a high stress, high pressure situation. This was only worsened when his mother died in fifth grade, removing the only respite from such a tiring life away from him and leaving him alone with his father. Eventually, when he nearly lost for the first time to Murasakibara, his world almost fell apart as such a failure would result in him loosing all his friends and his sports and thus he broke off Akashi into two personalities that the fandom describes as Oreshi (normal him) and Bokushi (“absolute” him). As an attempt to hold everyone together, Bokushi became fixated on results, perfection, and success, to the point that it eventually tore everyone apart.

The main reason for Akashi that I relate with him is his past history with his family, the high pressure and cold family that he grew up with, and the split personality, not necessarily to the point of DID/MPD however, that he suffers from. With as much as I am willing to share, my family is all but functional and “comfort” and all that stuff really isnt much of a thing. Plus given the notorious “114 Genius Reputation” (114 replacing my last name) I always felt that if I didnt get the grades I did, I would be greatly judged by my family and by my peers that knew of the reputation. I personally feel I lived a similar backstory to Akashi, and when it comes down to it, his form of split personality is similar to my own that has concerned my therapists. While the names do not change and memories stay mostly intact, major personality points shift, attitudes shift, and personal beliefs also shift. All of that I pretty much also relate to and thus have actually looked up to Akashi many times in the past for help and aid.

FIRST TIER

SO LETS TALK THIS PIECE OF SHIT. Actually hes quite a wonderful character, but I don't like how much he has such parallels to me. Hijikata primarily clicks with me in the general way of how he makes decisions, his role, and how he handles him emotions and various situations. To summarize it, Hijikata is the "Demon Commander" known for how coldly and heavily he holds his men up to the standards and commands and gets the respect of those around them while still appearing to be much like a demon due to his apparently endless ability and drive to get thigns done and the aforementioned cold and heavy standards he keeps his men to. Similarly, and a bit annoyingly coincidental, I actually got the nickname "Satan" for almost the same reasons. The core relatability can be derived from just that, but throughout the series there is actually a lot of things said by, about, and actions done by Hijikata that I have done in the past or would have done. To that includes small things like casually cursing like a sailor, to lines on relationships, to how he almost compulsively works and prioritizes work over everything, to the extreme (almost to a fault) "constantly moving forward / no time to look back", goal orientation, leadership style, lowkey soft side, and literally almost anything Chizuru fucking says about him. Oh yeah and his entire overwhelming general detatchment and how, honest to god, many times he tried to push Chizuru away and that one time he succeeded and regretted it. Or his extremely reckless and poor skills at self care and shit. Honest to god too many things this shit does is literally shit Ive done in the past.

FIRST TIER

Fushimi actually is a long standing member of my list. Probably has been there for a few years and was inappropriately ranked low on my official list because I wasnt thinking too much on his details when I was making it and wasnt fully refreshed on his character. To be honest, a lot of his character through the manga that specialized in him was #Same. Im going to be somewhat vague cos I dont want to really spoil the experience (cos the manga doesnt have much actual events to spoiler) to the two people Im re-exploring K with that frequently visit this forum but lets see what I can do.

For the first part, I highly and very strongly relate to Fushimi with how he views his family and household. Personally I actually hold more leeway and forgiveness for mine, but, especially so in the past, my views can be held rather close - particularly with his relationship with his father - dickbag Fushimi Nikki. To add to it, the way that Fushimi connects with Misaki often matches almost identically to the times I get attached to a single person of interest and even just how I see a lot of my absolute closest friends who Ive been around in general (Wanta, Zeppie). *a lot more stuff about Misaki and his relationship I dont want to elaborate on to keep Wanta and Lefteris in the shadow* On top of that, I do also relate (not to be cocky or anything) to his intelligence and ability to quickly learn. And, Ill use Lefteris' word for this, highkey relate to the *hides in bathroom to play games* action seen in the manga. Then theres the way he views Munakata as well which is pretty much the same reason and same way I- *muted*

There are more things but those are some major take aways from my recent reading of the manga. As well as that, the over eccentric poor behavior he takes in the first season and some of the poor reactions Ive had towards certain events holds me in a place where Im not really one to talk. If I recall, even if I need a refresher, even the later seasons match a lot of how I characterize at times. Then theres always one of the main reasons why he clicked was cos his whole entire story back when there was only a manga and a first season was pretty much identical to how I felt, experienced, and viewed an old friendship of mine that sadly got torn apart.

Nagito's existence. Hes too much to explain tbh.

✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧

SECOND TIER

Yuuya Sakazaki is a PIGEON from Hatoful Boyfriend. Yuuya is known for being the older brother of Sakuya Le Bel Shirogane and being a DOVE agent brought into the school to help handle the infiltration of a HAWK into the academy. In the past, when his mother remarried into the Le Bel family, Yuuya knew the heir killed his father to be with his mother, and out of anger and spite swapped the egg his mom had with Le Bel with his brothers that he was told to destroy. He proceeded to break the egg from Le Bel before it even hatched and thus let his full brother Sakuya live an aristocratic life as if he had the Le Bel blood in him while he watched as a commoner. This action was a crime that weighed heavily on him, but it was also a crime that he took up ownership on and claims that it is his burden to carry, doing anything less would be disrespectful to the event itself. Along with this, Yuuya likes to carry the image of a hero and tries to help those around him as much as he can.

I relate to this because of my ideology and fulfillment I get from both from acting as the role of a leader or caretaker relates closely to Yuuyas idea of wanting to be a hero to those around him. His love for his brother is a relatable trait to those that I really care for and all that Yuuya does for him is something I could see myself doing for those I really care about. Most importantly, the way he owns up to his mistakes and his guilt is what really makes him relatable to me in the current present. He handles his past very well and learns from it and does not run away from it. In that way, I greatly look up to Yuuya as well as relate to him.

SECOND TIER

I was debating between low first tier and high second tier for this character, but Satou Matsuzaka is a rather relatable character for me in similar ways to how we manage emotion, planning in the future, and the relative similarity in how our "love" runs and functions. While I am not going to be doing anything questionably illegal or anything, I find our general personality rather similar and a few similar views. Plus a lot of the "What the fuck is this emotion I need to understand it to control it" shit XD For a psychological horror anime it actually did serve as a nice reflection on my own relationship.

✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧

SECOND TIER

Rachel is a character grown up in a household notable for its domestic abuse and unstable family relations as her parents were often fighting. While watching those cutscenes unfold I just sat there being like “shit this is like… too real” to Wanta who watched me play this entire game. It was honestly probably a bit awkward how much I was like “This shit is too accurate.” Along with that however, Rachel is known for having difficulty with emotions and empathy, resulting her to appear empty and cold from times to times which definately is really close to how I was before I got a lot of progress done and even currently within certain situations. She is also highly logic based and is a very good problem solver, traits I personally believe to see in myself as well. She is also seen to get obsessive on certain topics she believes in or feels is right such as her wanting to die or what “her God believes” which can be close to how I can get obsessive over certain ideas, may they be the good ones and fandoms like you see or more negative ones. Finally, on top of all that, another part of her mental state through the game is also relatable but also omitted. On top of it all, I kind of fell in love with Zacks character partially because of how much I related to Rachel’s character and with how he handled her abnormalities.

✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧

SECOND TIER

Toko Fukawa is a character I relate for a few reasons. I personally strongly relate with her drive to get better from her behavioral issues and trauma and the things she experienced that can be seen in Danganronpa: Another Episode. With that core piece of her character, I actually found a lot of quotes that click hard with me. Along with this, Toko is actually a rather more kind and brave character within DRAE in a similar way to mine and the way she reacts to having someone to call a friend is a lot how I lowkey act but keep to myself since its rather rare for someone to actually grow close enough to me that I genuinely count them as a friend. Plus her lack of an ability to understand exactly what people are supposed to do once they are friends is highly relatable. Plus, while I dont really have DID, I do occasionally has borderline episodes and a character/personality like thing I call Aderis. The way Genocider Syo acts and her correlation and reasoning for Toko is very similar to my history with Aderis in the past.

✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧

SECOND TIER

Ikki is a character from Amnesia who, at a young age, wished upon a star to have women fall for him and ever since suffered from eyes that made women fall in love with him from a very glance. This resulted in a fanclub and pressure to satisfy all the women making it near impossible to hold up a single proper relationship for more than three months and making it practically impossible to actually grow close to anyone. This would lead to the point of the pressure being high enough that he felt he could barely breathe and often felt he was a horrible person for it. However, he holds this mostly to himself feeling that if he could at least make all the women happy, then it was a good thing at the very least.

Against the grain of the past ones, I particularly relate with Ikki because of his concern for the women over himself, his overly charming outer persona that often entrances too many people too fast irl, and my own tendencies to have certain people in my life, both online and off, that often gave me the feeling that Ikki got with the Heroine where their presence “took off the pressure” and make it feel like he could “breathe again.”

✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧

SECOND TIER

Ulquiorra is the first character from Bleach on this list and was a hollow created with no senses other than his eyes as well as a hollow that looked greatly different than the rest of the hollows. Because of this, he often came to believe that if he cant see it, it cant be real. This quickly began to form a cold, calculated, apathetic personality as well as a highly nihilisitc view point of his going to the point of believing that the happiness would have to be the closest thing to absolute nothing - a state of having nothing to gain or nothing to lose.

I relate to Ulquiorra as a self-proclaimed Nihilist myself, but I mostly relate to him as his entire being and state of existence is close to what it felt like to be in a near constant dissociated state and such a similarity often helped me cope. In such states, it would not be uncommon for me often relating and agreeing with most of his ideologies. However, the other part where this is relatable is that as he interacted more with Orihime, he eventually started begin to understand what the “human heart” is like despite not believing in it all the way up until the point he dies. It is that small sensation of his that often kept things in mind for me that no matter how empty things may feel, there is always something out there to light up the world.

✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧

SECOND TIER

Since there is just so much to say about the two Winchesters with how long their series is, I wont explain their character too much but jump right to what I find relatable. For the both of them, I highly relate to their codependency as I personally have been in two highly codependent relationships - obsessively caring about one person with serious mental health / life issues pushed to the point of being highly toxic. Along with this, I often have been known to be a bit obsessively protective of those that I care about, another trait similar to Dean. Along with that Dean is known for his tendency to bottle up his emotions to the point its almost self denial. Naturally this leads to bad coping mechanisms again, another relatable trait. Finally, the other key relatable thing about him is how much he loathed himself to the point of calling himself poison from all the guilt and responsibility he carried upon himself. I used to feel very much the same way with the friends due to my old codependent tendencies that weighed a lot of guilt over my head when I was forced to end them. Luckily Ive grown past that, partially thanks to this series.

✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧

SECOND TIER

Much as mentioned with Dean, I relate to the codependency that is almost infamous between Sam and his brother. Sam is often seen as the logical, book-smart half to the duo him and his brother run. Through his time he found himself being the vessel of Lucifer where he began to slowly start to feel like a monster both because of it and the demon-like abilities he began to obtain as he consumed demon blood. This is relatable in respects to certain struggles of mine in the past and also feeling bad for constantly “messing up” as many times as he did to the point he was willing to sacrifice himself to make up for the amount of times he messed up. Again, Ive grown past most of this but it still remains as a relatable character for me.

✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧

SECOND TIER

Say hello to the character that I have been in super denial about solely because his name matches my Fanpop name (even tho I named myself after him) and thus did not want to feel / look cringey or fictionkinny due to my strong aversion to the whole fictionkin culture. However I am going to finally be honest and both move Riku up and explain it. Riku is a character who fell into the darkness back in the first game and struggled with it all the way towards Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance where he finally becomes a Keyblade Master. He jumps between his fall to darkness, struggling against it, accepting its presence, and ultimately creating a balance throughout his struggles as he goes from an angsty mature friend to a not-angsty more matured friend.

For me, Riku’s journey with the darkness closely resembles my struggle with mental health and my past that I’ve lived with and is seen to be really relatable as almost everything he says, if not all of what he says, about the darkness, I could almost perfectly repeat to my struggle with mental health and all. Along with this, Riku has a similar personality to that of my self as he often is described as a mature friend that is calm and collected for the most part. At first Riku is seen to be a highly angsty boi with his jealousy and envy but as he goes through his story as a character he slowly grows out of that and into what would appear to be a well built hero from the experiences and self-realizations he hits. This eventually leaves him as a classical hero that is seen as very brave, wise, and caring for the friends around him. All of that change from angsty to more… er… wise(?) is again a relatable thing that I find has happened through my time with mental health as it did with his and darkness. Along with this, I really do relate and enjoy his quotes about how he deals with the darkness and how he doesnt wish to destroy it or push it away as it really isnt something that can be handled like this. So with this, especially with how he helped me figure out my own ways of dealing with shit, I will stop being in denial and push him up quite a few places.

✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧

THIRD TIER

Shin's personality that is rather logical, emotionally-detatched, and somewhat egotistical relates somewhat close to that of my own. This is added onto with how difficult it can be to get along with her. However, what struck me notably interesting and relatable is how she cut herself off from others and divulged herself into a fantasy world and fantasy life, creating an online character that she lost her original self into. Honestly, Wanta can vouche but while playing through her sin, I was pretty much going #Same and "Same Shin" a lot.

✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧

THIRD TIER

Gladion, I am honestly if I relate to him as he was written or as my brain filled in the headcanons for as his story, as I learned about him and encountered him, put to fill in the vague characteristics Pokemon gave about him. Either way, Gladion is cannonically seen to be a character who is very serious, smart, and somewhat distant from those he is around, taking on quite a loner personality. For the most part he appears like the typical rival however he shows great compassion and care for stolen Pokemon and went out of his way to steal Type: Null after seeing the horrifying experiments it was placed under. He also had a crazy possessive mother who did not tend to look at her children as much more than objects, especially post her involvement with Ultra Beasts. A key interest however is how all of the pokemon he trained, except Zoroark in the main story, evolves my friendship.

Personally Gladion is relatable because of his relationship with his mother, his will to protect his little sister, and how he interacts and bonds with his pokemon. As seen in other entries, Gladion is seen to be a quiet cold person on the outside yet a secretly soft character deep down. However, as mentioned earlier in this entry, I still have this long fanfic I had about him, Type: Null, Lillie, and Lusamine that I only started and forgot about where I probably started loving and relating to Gladion the most, but still.

✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧

THIRD TIER

Aika is a character who is often part of the triology of characters used to describe me as a whole because while Kano describes the difference between inner me and outer me as well as my fun laid back attitude I keep on the outside, and Ryouko describes the tougher me versus the softer me, Aika represents the whole of me. Aika is known for her highly insightful, intelligent character mixed with her “cold and calculating” personality that makes many people find her rather intimidating and makes it hard for her to make friends. However, while it is true, while the soft side is not nearly as dramatic as Ryouko’s, Aika is known to care deeply for those that she cares about, commiting suicide to make sure their life remain good. From time to time, it can also be found that she makes dark jokes and dramatic play-like descriptions of her life as a form of comedy / explanation, which I also relate to quite a bit. It is all these traits that make Aika a relatable character for me.

THIRD TIER*

Jin Seon is a character from the Bastard webtoon series and is the son of a psychopathic serial killer who raised Jin to be bait for women of his interest and insured that Jin didn’t become strong enough to retaliate. I personally relate to Jin because of his relationship with various characters in the series, most particularly his father and his girlfriend. While it is not as nearly as extreme, I share similar relations to my dad and towards those I really care about, I feel similar to Jin does to his girlfriend. There are a few other traits about Jin that I also relate to but I dont particularly want to share to the public.

✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧•◦•◦✦◦•◦•✧

THIRD TIER

Hitori Uzune is the other QUAIL on this list that I find relatable from Hatoful Boyfriend over how he reacted and handled the death of his ‘brother’ / close friend of his as well as his role in Nageki’s life. Hitori, when younger with Nageki, was very caring and took care of Nageki much like a caretaker would, sacrificing some of his money, time, and energy to making sure the sickly Nageki could live a good life. However when Nageki died, Hitori was filled with hallucinations that blamed him for Nageki’s death and ultimately snapped to the point of which he encouraged a poor quail’s suicide to take the identity in attempt at avenging Nageki’s death.

This extreme level of how broken he was by Nageki’s death is personally how poorly I feel I could probably take the sudden death of someone I cared about, especially if they died because of a suggestion of mine. I also find it relatable how heavily he cared about Nageki, enough to put his loneliness aside for what he believed would help Nageki the most in the long run.

THIRD TIER

Saix is a character I relate mostly due to his relationship with Axel and how his situation is often misunderstood both by the characters in the game and by the majority of the fanbase. I dont particularly want to talk too much about this one because it has a long explanation both on Saix’s character and a specific situation of mine, but the way he looks at Axel and his views of what Axel’s friends are doing to him are similar to an experience I personally had.

THIRD TIER

Leonhart is mostly relatable because of his more quiet, distant personality that makes him slow to trust people. This however is contrasted by his relationship with Efina, who, despite his cold words and demeanor he lets out, genuinely really cares for her. Another relatable trait is how he puts a lot of weight and responsibility upon himself to the point it can be exhausting. With his past with his friends, he often takes himself to be the bad even though what he did was a sacrifice for his friends.

EX-MEMBERS

These are essentially characters that were once on the list but were removed either due to being outdated and/or the connection not being nearly as strong as the new standard. With that being said, some that reflect a younger version of myself that I still feel to be one I relate strongly with are kept on the list.
