Ok you’re probably sick and tired of me talking about this film but if you wanna know what makes me drawn to this film then here is why.
Kicking off old school style in Andalasia a lovesick maiden named Giselle dreams of falling in love and sharing(you guessed true love’s kiss). Enter Prince Edward who falls for her (or is it because she has a sweet singing voice)and he marries her the next day. You may think it’s the end but in fact its just about to get started. She falls down a well enters NYC and falls in love with ANOTHER MAN this time his a cynical attorney who doesn’t take any shit from anyone. But who does she REALLY LOVE Robert(Dempsey from Greys) or Edward(Marsden from 27 dresses). Packed with great music and an all star cast Enchanted is definetly one to watch again and again.
What makes me love this movie is the fact that it pays tribute to some Disney movies like TLM,Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Beauty & the Beast etc and turns them all into a modern day Rom com with a twist. I like how it tells audiences that love CAN exist and if you keep using negative comments about it then you’re wasting your time as you won’t get it at all. Patrick’s character Robert Philip is kinda like us in a way, his pessimistic, thinks that love only exists in the fantasy world(which it does BTW), and doesn’t go off and marry someone that he barley even knows. Amy’s character Giselle showed him that love can exist and as he spends some time with her he actually starts to become more romantic and less cynical as he realises that being a cynic isn’t great and that you have to go with the flow. Some people will find this so stupid but not me I thought it was the best Disney movie of all time as it focuses on love in the real life world as well as the animated world. Bravo to Dempsey & Adams for making this a truly remarkable film.
Another thing is the camera movements which was brilliant. If they made this in 3D it would be so awesome as you will feel like you are in the movie. Patrick Dempsey singing to Adams in the movie was OMG cute and the music is so addictive yet one song in particular So Close ALWAYS sends a shiver down my spine,its so romantic and enchanting.

Both of these characters are sweet and they are friends with animals. They both take a poison apple and go into a deep sleep and they have to be awaken by true love’s kiss.
Scenes that Enchanted mocks
*The wicked Queen aka Susan Sarandon’s Queen Narissa is similar to the wicked Queen in Snow White as they both turn into old hags and give the herione of the movie a poison apple that will make them go into a deep sleep.
* True love’s kiss scene is kinda similar minus the dwarves.
* When Giselle is cleaning Robert’s apartment she summons animals to clean up his apartment and sings a song that is like Whistle While You Work entitled Happy Working Song.
* Giselle & Snow White are both sweet and childish.
*Edward & Giselle riding off in the sunset.
