Comparing the classics to the modern ones:Beauty & The Beast/Enchanted

Ok I know this is nothing got to do with Enchanted but since it poked fun of it I decided to write an article of these two movies.

The story

Starting with Beauty & the Beast I absolutely love this movie because it sets a good example to children who think that they are ugly when in actual fact they are not and that in order to find love you just have to accept the person for who they are and not what they are like.

Enchanted now is a modern fairytale combining 2d animation and live action why I love this movie simply because its magical,entertaining,a great cast from Amy Adams to that dude Patrick Dempsey, brilliant score from the one and only Alan Menken and also it leaves the biggest smile on your face for hours.

Charcthers

The main character in BatB is a plain Jane who doesn’t give a damn if she’s odd and she absolutely hates a man that’s cocky and vain(Yep im the same as her LOL) and she accepts the Beast for who he is. I absolutely adore Belle. She is the BEST DISNEY PRINCESS EVER.

Giselle is a lovestruck maiden who is dreaming of true love’s kiss and living happily ever after so what happens she is thrown into a magical well turns human and falls for a real life man named Robert Philip who isn’t a hopeless romantic like her as he is well how shall I put it pessimistic. I like the actress that portraits Giselle, Amy Adams she was absolutely awesome as the irritating princess that will do your head in yet you start to like her near the finale of the film.


The romances in the two movies

I love the romance in both movies because BatB focuses on accepting a person for who they are on the outside not the inside and in Enchanted its about true love can happen in both worlds and that you can change a persons pov on love. I love the chemistry between Adams & Dempsey as its so real and sweet. Also I love Belle & the Beast’s love in BatB too now that’s what I call a good love story too.

How does Beauty & the Beast fit into Enchanted?

* The ballroom scene in Enchanted is similar to BatB because you see the chandelier in the background.

* Robert’s costume is kinda similar to Beasts.

* In the that’s how you know song a woman has a candle similar to Lumiere on her head.

Verdict on both of them

They are both brilliant and enjoyable. Enchanted is a time machine made in glory whereas Beauty & the Beast is an older classic that can be enjoyed forever and ever.
