Role-Playing With Others Molting Cracks

Shebird posted on Apr 06, 2010 at 04:54AM
We've all seen our fair share of vampire stories-and of course it's hard to make them original, but there still a chance of it attracting our interests. Because, although vampires may no longer be new to us, we still find them exotic and very mind-catching. It seems as though vampires have wedged themsleves deep into our pop culture, and they are here to stay.

But, what if they were real. The thing is, we would no longer be at the top of the food chain. We would become much more vulnerable than we started. Predator would quickly become prey. All in all...it would really really really suck.

Now enough of all that idea pitching

Here's my idea for the rp. It was like mainly based on this story idea I had which was gonna be mainly be bashing "good" vampires, but I knew I wasn't gonna do anything with it so I decided to share it!

The setting: Time is endless. Vampires have came out of hiding and after many years, have been widely accepted. With this, people began to live longer, a group of supporters called the Voices of Vampires or "the Bleeders" was formed as the spokespeople for these walking leeches. The population grew rapidly and along fell the economy, resources became scarce. People were spending thousands of dollars to be "professionally bitten". The poor are just disappearing off the streets, being wisked away by the shadows. The vampies have reached upper class and the rest of the world, their food. Some even have made connections with underground mobs, corrupted many into thinking they were their gods. Bleeders' peace walks turn into riots.

The humans get sick of it.

The blackened asphalt breathed out steam and smog as the heat intermingled with rainwater and smoke. A hot summer's night weighing down on everybody's miserable shoulders, the sky bled in pink as the sun fell into night. It was could have been beautiful, if the stars were visible.

Either way, Arnold Wolf didn't notice. His attention was concentrated on a small tv screen across the room. Upon it, were images of man beating man, the words spilled out with a sense of fraud. "What started out as an innocent protest for the rights of Vampire, suddenly turned for the worst. As you can see here, the police are still trying to calm things down but it appears there is no compliance. It started into a riot when a nameless man had set fire to what appears to be..a vampiric puppet. The purpose for this show of violence, is yet to be known. Back to you Tom."

"Thanks Snadra, in other news: The debate over-"

Arnold quickly switched off the tv, losing interest. He stood up, scratching at the red bristles of his chin. His hair was dishelved and body horrifically scrawny. His limbs didn't seem to fit him properly as he stood up, facing the window. He donned with a sweat-stained t-shirt and tacky camouflaged shorts.

He reached for a obscured object and slid it in his pocket as he went towards the door. "Tonight would be perfect."

(Sorry for the longneesss you can really rp however you want. I just wanted a good start-off to get the feel of things)

**In a shattered graveyard, a young striped hyena, who is Kasey, is exploring around, trying to find some food to scavenge on. After exploring for about twenty minutes however, Whinny the vampire stared at the creature, which the creature also stared back at her, with glowing eyes**

Whinny sat atop a gravestone, her long brown hair flowed around her, her smooth ivory colored face showed no sign of being scared of this strange animal. She looked back at the animal her golden eyes following its every move, then smiled showing her pointed canine like fangs.

Arnold stepped out hugging himself, it wasn't cold, but there was a strange chill travelling down his spine. The worn sandals rubbed against his skin. "Shoulda wore some socks," He muttered. He pushed back a straying strand of gray hair. After dying it so many colors, why not give it a more neutral color. It made him look old. He knew this, but to him, it made him feel more human.

He knew the streets like the back of his hand, to his left a decrepit graveyard, his right an apartment complex was being built. If he kept going straight he would head into the shopping district. He stopped and looked around, listening for a sign.

He turned to his left...

"A human." Whinny looked around to see just where the sweet scent of this human was coming from. Her eyes locked onto a man standing in front of a building holding himself like he was going to freeze to death.

He sagged a bit, leaning himself against the graveyard gates. Scanning his surroundings with lazy eyes. He didn't understand it, but this place seemed so relaxing to him for a yard full of dead people. Maybe it was because of the death that made him feel at peace, no one to nag or scream, no commotion, no complaints. It was all just still...peaceful. "How morbid of me," He muttered. "And here I am talking to myself again. Might as well make the most of this place before I go crazy..." He stepped forward and turned to an unmarked grave." Good evenin'" He nodded. He was fully unaware of the eyes that appeared to be baring down on him.

Whinny watched as this man walked into the graveyard and talked to one of the headstones just a few feet from where she sat on another. "You know their never going to talk back." She said, still staring at the man waiting for his reaction to her when he realized she was there.

He convulsed and turned his head, nearly choking on the air. He half-expected to find the dead, rising from its grave. What he saw was smewhat worse to him. He collected his thoughts and tried think up something witty. Nothing. "That's why I talk to them," He dumbly responded.
over a year ago demon_wolf said…
She smiled her fangs just barely showing, just the reaction she'd wanted from him. "What are you sick of being around people?"
over a year ago Shebird said…
Arnold, hesitantly answered, reaching in his short pocket. "Yeah, you could say that. I was never really a people person. The middle child, ya know?"
over a year ago demon_wolf said…
"You can stop reaching for that weapon in your pocket, I won't hurt you. You may smell good, but I don't drink human blood." She said, then smiled to him, trying to show she was telling the truth.

His nostrils flared. "Another one of those pacifist vampires, huh. Lemme guess, you've gone to vegan juices." He glared a little bit. "You're all really the same to me. Besides..." He pulled the object from his pocket, revealing a small crucifix. "It ain't a weapon. Just a little reassurance. I'm npot exactly a religious man, it's just for good luck and all that."
over a year ago demon_wolf said…
"Yeah well you know, I wanna keep some of you humans alive. Some of you are fun to be around." She stops glare at him. "And don't you dare say I'm the same as everyother vampire out there. I am nothing like them, if I were I would of killed you instead of talking to you. If you ask me all you humans are alike." She crossed her arms and let out and angry unuseful breath.
over a year ago Shebird said…
He gave a smokey laugh. "Us, fun to be around? Fun for you to exploit you mean. Ha! I bet you're plotting something in that little head of yours, just waiting for me to turn my back.Maybe you wanna make friends with me first, it doesn't matter to me anyway."He snorted, sucking up the phlegm from the back of his throat.
over a year ago demon_wolf said…
Whinny stared down at him. "You are the rudest human I've ever met. To think I tried to befriend you. I would rather be torn apart by my own kind then sit here and talk with you any longer." She stood grafully and leapt from the gravestone. "Good day to you." She said over her shoulder as she headed out of the graveyard.
