Xion looked over her shoulder, dismayed to see the Neoshadows continuing their attempt to capture her. Sure, she'd replaced her heart by now, but that didn't mean she wanted it stolen. She needed it for Him, if only for Him.
They were gaining ground, and fast. If only she could summon her keyblade.... She remembered about the last time this happened, back when most of the Organization was still around, and the City of Dark wasn't as abandoned as it was now. He had helped her, and even given her His keyblade.
But what was strange was that the heartless were appearing more and more frequently lately. It couldn't have just been coinidence that she'd just lost her keyblade, too, and was now defenseless.
Even her magic seemed to be getting less and less powerful. She tried to shoot Firagra at them, but it ended up being just plain old Fire. Something wasn't right, but she'd have to survive if she was to figure out what that was.
A Neoshadow took a leap of faith, and landed right in front of her. She shot Blizzard at it, but it still crept closer to her. It was as if the heartless themselves had gotten stronger, as well. She turned in circles, shooting multiple spells at the surrounding heartless, but it was no good.
Xion put her hands on her knees and gasped. She'd gone past her Magic limit this time, and it had now started to tax her Health. The Neoshadows, cocky little devils, decided that she was finished and they could take their time now.
But a flash of reddish orange and a CRACKLE sent the Neoshadows running for safety. Xion looked up to see Axel standing there, his chakrams in hands and his hair slightly on fire. He turned to Xion. "Need a hand?" he said, and flashed her a smile. Xion was so happy to see him that she barely noticed the BOOM and BAM behind her. She turned to see, of all people to be here, Kairi, running from a fleet of Samaries Nobodies, which was strange. Roxas controlled those.
Kairi glanced over her shoulder and started to run faster. "I'm sorry I tried to kiss you, alright?!" Xion felt anger swell up in her. Kairi, her arch rival, tried to do what with her boyfriend? Just as Kairi was passing by, Xion tripped her and watched the Nobodies attack. Axel shot her a look and threatened the Nobodies with fire. They fled, and he helped the stupid girl up.
But Xion hadn't had the show she was looking forward to seeing, nor had her anger been extinguished. So, she punched Kairi right in the jaw. "Now, what did you try to do to my boyfriend again?" Xion asked through gritted teeth. Axel had to hold her back. Kairi rubbed her jaw and stated, "I was trying to give him a proper girlfriend, that's what. For some odd reason, he rejected me, and is probably rounding the corner as we speak to come and beat me up. I'm not sure why, though. I'm the perfect girl for him." Before Xion could say anything, she saw Roxas rounding the corner as predicted, sprinting at top speed to come and beat up the stupid Kairi. Now, this was the show Xion wanted to watch.
