2001 Odyssey: A discotheque club were Tony and his friends all hang out every Saturday night. The building is an actual night club from the 70's which was demolished in 2005.

Al Pacino: An actor that a drunk woman called Tony when he kisses her and Tony has a poster of him from the 1973 film, Serpico and walks out of this room wearing only his black underwear and chanting Al Pacino in front of his grandmother who covers her face when he walked out.

Annette: Tony's former dance partner, who became rejected by him for another woman. Annette instead searches for someone who's more caring and willing to be her future husband who most likely turned out to be Joey. Annette of course gotten too carried away takes too many 'speed' pills and drugged herself and agreed to have sex with Joey but not 'fixed' and discontinues with him but ended up raped by a confused Double J.

Abortion: Bobby C's girlfriend, Pauline who's in her first trimester of pregnancy refuses to get an abortion when Bobby C tries to get some advice from everyone to have Pauline to expel her unborn child. Bobby C had no choice but to marry Pauline when he's not really sure of it.

Bobby C: Tony's youngest friend who's a coward and gotten his girlfriend pregnant. Bobby C tries to get some advice from people but he was ignored and Bobby becomes depressed and decides to make a fool of himself on the bridge which he ended up falling off the bridge and dies.

Bee Gees: A band from the 70's that stared in '58 with usually three singer brothers, Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb. Several of their songs are heard in SNF and listed in the soundtrack some of the songs are Staying Alive, How Deep is Your Love, Night Fever, You Should Be Dancing and More Than A Woman there's one song that was never heard in the film that is listed in the soundtrack which is called Jive Talkin.

Baracudas: A Hispanic gang who may have attacked Gus one of the friends of Tony who's in the hospital. Tony, Joey and Double J gets revenged on them and brutally beats the gang up.

Blowjob: A slang word for Fellatio. Joey mentions 'blowjob' to Doreen when she was wiping Tony's face. Tony tells Annette to give him a blowjob rather than finishing sex since she wasn't 'fixed'.

Connie: A young woman in the 2001 odyssey disco club who tells Tony if he's good in bed as he is on the disco floor and the two dance together before Tony does his solo dance.

Double J: One of the friends of Tony who was first one to score with a girl in the backseat of Bobby C's car. Double J is the tough, aggressive badass friend who drives Bobby C's car into the Baracudas club building. He becomes confused of Annette and rapes her in the backseat of Bobby C's car, when she refuses to have sex without contraception.

Frank Jr: Tony's catholic brother who's a priest and visit's Tony and tells him that he quit. Frank Jr finds a place to stay in NYC. Bobby C talks to Frank Jr about Pauline and how she can get an abortion. Frank Jr wasn't too pleased about it.

Frank Sr: Tony's father who treats him like dirt. Frank Sr gets fired from his job and likes to get jumpy on his wife and kids.

Flo: Tony's mother who's a homemaker. She makes Tony looking like a black sheep of the family and was angry when Tony had a talk with Frank Jr about leaving the church.

Fixed: a slang word for contraception. Tony makes it with Annette for a good two mins and unaware that she is not using any contraception he ends it. She was also not using any contraception when she decides to make it with Joey for more than 4 mins and becomes worried and stops him just before getting rapped by Double J.

Grandmother: Tony's Italian-American grandmother who speaks only a few words in Italian.

Gus: A friend of Tony's who gets brutality attacked by a gang that might be the Baracudas. Gus was going home from the grocery store and a gang runs up to him and beats him till he ends up in the hospital.

Italian American: the heredity of descent that Tony, Joey and Double J have. Many Italians live in NY, CT and NJ from Italy for many centuries.

IUD: Intrauterine device is one of the contraceptives that Annette did not have in her when Tony mentions if she was using anything to protect her from getting pregnant. She also did not have one put in while she makes it with Joey, which he may have gotten her pregnant known he was having an orgasm just a few seconds before Annette stops him.

Joey: One of Tony's Italian friends that live in his neighborhood. He is the dark, handsome, olive-skinned friend who has an interest in Annette. He is the very close friend of Double J and sit together most of the time. He makes it with Annette but Annette ends it with him from not taking any contraception. Joey easily gives in by giving Annette too many Speed pills when she begs him to. which makes her drugged up and not thinking that she's not fixed like she was with Tony the other night and decides to have sex with Joey. Joey is seen in the car drinking straight Vodka in the beginning of the film.

Make it: A slang word for sex. Annette tries to courage Tony to make it with her. By not using any contraception, Tony ends it. Annette decides to make it with both Joey and Double J when Tony rejects her with Stephanie. While drugged up Annette realizes she and Joey are not using any contraception as well and ends it, when Joey think it's Double J's turn to finish it off with her she refuses to finish with Double J and becomes raped by him.

New York: The state were the film takes place. With two of the actors Joseph Cali (Joey) and Paul Pape (Double J) resides in, the same as actress, Donna Pescow (Annette).

Pregnancy: Pauline, Bobby C's girlfriend is pregnant with his child which Bobby C want's her to get an abortion. Shows that Bobby is nowhere ready to be a father. As of Annette not using any contraception with Joey as the same with Tony and Double J, she may become pregnant, most likely by Joey but the pregnancy will never be mention since it was the ending of the film and Annette or Joey never appeared in the sequel 'Staying Alive' otherwise it would shown them with a young child or possibly two children.

Penny: A stripper that Tony knows. He asks her to do a dance for him. While she dances on stage, she slowly takes her clothes off, exposing her breasts.

Rigged: Term word for cheat. When Tony and Stephanie had a dance competition. Tony feels that Puerto Rican couple cheated and win the second prize while he won first prize. Tony thinks that the Puerto Ricans are better than him and that the contest is rigged.

Rape: Annette becomes rapped by Double J after ending sex with Joey when she notices she wasn't 'fixed'. Double J raped her at least two mins when they got to the bridge. Stephanie who was also almost gotten rapped by Tony by his frustration. Stephanie became suspicious about him entering her apartment after what he pulled on her.

Stephanie Mangano: A woman that Tony has an interest in and asks her to be his new dance partner. Tony and Stephanie practice for the competition as they dance they share a kiss in the end. When Tony thinks that the contest is rigged, Tony storms off with Stephanie to the car where Stephanie nearly gotten rapped by him from his frustration. In the ending of the film, Tony makes up with her and become good friends. Stephanie is never shown in the sequel known Tony may have lost touch with her.

Speed Speed is a drug called Amphetamine which the guys take when they head to the discotheque club. They also give some Speed to women that they plan to have sex with. Annette got too carried away that she begs Joey for more than she should have, which gets her drugged up and she has sex with Joey and gets raped by Double J.

Tony Manero: Tony is the main character in the film and is portrayed by John Travolta. He's the king of Disco and is very popular at the 2001 odyssey club. Annette was his former dancing partner until he meets Stephanie Mangano and rejects Annette. Stephanie prefers Tony to be just her friend and nothing more.

Tragedy: Bobby C who tries to get some advice from everyone to get Pauline an abortion. He becomes ignored and Bobby becomes depressed and decides to act like the other guys from earlier in the film and ends his life by falling off the bridge and dies from breaking several bones in his body includes his neck and back.

Verrazano-Narrows Bridge: The bridge in southern New York that connects Brooklyn and Staten Island. the bridge construction began in in 1959 and finished in 1969 with the lower level. this is the bridge that Bobby C ends his life on. the bridge was also shown many times in the film, especially the scene were Tony tells Stephanie about how a man was buried in the cement. In reality, that never happened.

White Castle: A fast food restaurant that opened in 1921. It serves hamburgers, cheeseburgers, fries and drinks. Tony and his friends eat there. Double J and Joey pick on Tony the way he chews. Joey stands on the table and barks like a dog and scaring the costumers and employees.
