There were rounds of blue, yellow, green, red, pink and purple disco lights which were installed into the roof. I always thought that it would be amazing living here, having a dico effect every single time that you turned your lights on. Miranda was a very rich and lucky 620 year old. There were white marble pillars which stood behind the entrance to her home, each one now muti- coloured and glowing freakishly, like they were alive! For some reason I couldn't look at them, they sent shivers down my spine. You're losing it, I thought. Crazy, crazy, crazy, crazy!
Stop thinking about it! I screamed at myself. Why was I being such an idiot? Getting the shivers from looking at a column, what would they all think?
One thing that comforted me was knowing that I couldn't literally go insane, it was physically and mentally impossible on the count of me being dead.

Sorry this one is pointless, I was getting carried away with the "before" part.


Lily and Cal carried out the conversation most of the way to Miranda's. Maily they chatted about music; Cal tried to persuade Lily that Rock was the ultimate music genre to which she constantly replied, "Rubbish. Pop is the best! Rock it's all just men growling down a microphone and you can't even understand what they're saying!"
"No, Lily. That is heavy metal."
"Same thing. Back me up here Ava!"
I looked up shocked. I didn't like picking sides because it always made one person angry at you.
"I like both." I simply said and instead, they both turned mad at me.
"How is that supposed to settle this debate?" Lily demanded.
"Well, I can't choose if I like both genres of music can I?" I responded furiously.
Lily and Cal both picked up on my feelings because they leant away from me slightly but Lily pursued further.

When I awoke Matt and Lily were seated at the edge of my bed, watching me.
"Argh!" I screamed.
It was not wise for anyone, vampire, animal or human to annoy me early in the morning.
"What the- why are you two in here?"
Lily smiled at me while Matt winked and took my hand, in it placing a small peice of paper which I hid from Lily, I didn't want her to get jealous; she was very scary when she became jealous. I slid my hand under the covers and dropped the note on the sheets.
"I came to see if you would like to come hunting with dear Mattew and I." She said with a adequate attempt of sounding like formal teenage girl from my day.
"You know, proper lady's do not lie. The real reason you are disturbing me is...?"
"I just wanted to... say hi!"
Then Lily skipped out the room laughing. She always did have a death wish and an odd sense of humour. I picked up the note Matt had given me.
