Sebastian Roche has been cast as an unnamed vampire hunter in the Vampire Diaries. Actually, he was originally named "Eric" but TVD producers wanted to avoid True Blood comparisons.

Since Mikael hasn’t uttered many words yet — and those were in an American accent — you may not know that Roché is French. He was born in Paris in 1964.
