Selena Gomez reprised her Bollywood inspired dance routing for her new single “Come and Get It” on “Dancing With the Stars” last night (Apr. 16) and showcased her exotic beauty, not to mention her over-the-top sexuality.
She unveiled the look at the MTV Movie Awards Sunday (Apr. 14) night and showed off her hot body in a revealing Indian Bindi.
The outfit revealed her undulating midriff and her her legs up to her bikini briefs. She also danced barefoot. The performance with six back-up dancers moved the former Disney teen queen further world of adult pop that put her on the same level as a Jennifer Lopez or Britney Spears. Still she retained a wholesome look.
The performance began with an overhead shot. The camera quickly moved to a more conventional view as Selena and her crew broke into rhythmic dancing. While her Hindu-influenced dance routine add an air of exoticism, it hasn’t exactly gone over well with Hindus.
It seems Selena has overdone the theme with an emerald forehead accent, which has religious significance. The Universal Society of Hinduism complained that the spiritual symbol was trivialized by the performance and is seeking an apology. No word yet on whether it will get one from Selena’s camp.
