"Hey, Shadow! There's this cool new kid at our school! He's right over...! Where'd he go?" Tara said as she and Shadow arrived at the mall. She looked around trying to find the kid. "Uh, Tara," Shadow said. She was still holding his hand from when she dragged him here. "Oh, sorry," she said, letting go and blushing a little. "One sec," she said as she looked around one last time. She got onto one of the tables in the middle of the food court and yelled in the loudest voice she could muster up. "YO, BLAKE! WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU!! I GOT SHADOW AND HE'S HERE TO MEET YOU!!" Tara yelled. "I'm over here!" he yelled back, trying to get to the table before she yelled again. "YOU, FLANA!! GET YOUR BUTT OVER HERE!! I FOUND SHADOW AND HE'S HERE TO MEET YOU!!" she yelled again. "COMING!" she yelled running as fast as she could through the crowd. Tara jumped down off the table and jogged over to Blake. She grabbed his hand and yanked him over to Shadow. "Shadow," she said, shaking Blake, "this is Blake the Wolf, the new kid at our school." "Hi," Blake said, stumbling on his words. " And this," she said yanking Flana around, "is Flana the Hedgehog. She is the other new kid," she finished, talking awfully loud because her yelling had damaged her own ears. "Uhh... hello there," she said shyly. "Hi," Shadow said, his tone not changing one bit. Tara grumbled at Shadow and took Blake by the arm. "Let's go have some fun, you guys!" she said, trying to get Shadow to come. "You can go ahead. I think I'll just wait here for Sonic. Tara grumbled again and pulled Blake and Flana away.
"Ahh! Stupid tree!" Midnight said as she stumbled her way through the forest. She looked around at all the trees surrounding the strange zigzag path. They had to be atleast a couple hundred meters tall. There were a bunch of planks and catwalks and ladders and pulley systems inbetween the trees. But the place seemed pretty vacant; it had been that way since she first fell upon the strange floating island, but she could tell. It was very different from Angel Island. She walked on the path. "I'm going nowhere coming from nowhere!" she said to herself. "I guess there's no point in- hey!" she said as she tripped on an upped root and tumbled down the steep side of the hill. "Oh. god dammit..." she said getting up and rubbing her head. She looked back up at the hill and sighed. "No point at all..." she said as she plopped down on the ground and fell asleep.
