Disclaimer: I do not own Sega's version of Sonic the Hedgehog! But I own mine.

This story was written in 2004, the year of my eleven/twelve year old childhood, making this my very first story. It's rather out-dated, yet I have trimmed a few split ends. However, I couldn't edit this without changing the basics, so I preferred not to change them drastically, but to improve the writing style and initial depth, so bear with the story's attitude. The story's timeline is after SA2 and it's meant to be a taaaad dark, but it's suitable for PG-13.

Now, before you continue, please tolerate the beginning...

Chap 1

one time shadow went on a date with maria and after the date shadow asked maria to marry him but the ring fell down the sink and sonic turned on the grarbage disposial on. "SOOOOOOOOONNIIIIIIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" said shadow. 3 hours later sonic trew the cake on maria's head and ran out the door. then the next day maria went shopping for a wedding dress and sonic poured a two-ton bottle of coffe on it.
THen shadow tried to kill sonic and sonic poured acid on him.And then shadow invited tails. Tals just blew up his house and all the wedding supplies. Then he rebilt his house out of contcreate....

Shadow kept running straight. Where am I going? he thought. If I return and he knows I didn't complete the task. Shadow touched his chest fur. Then my whole body could be nothing but blood and rubbel. Shadow stopped running, and began to walk slowly. "Emerald Dawn Hedgehog..." he said aloud and put his hand to his head. Why does her name sound fimillair? A flashback came to him. He saw a beautiful female hedgehog, with blue eyes like the sea, brown hair like cinnamon, and a beautiful voice. She was singing.
"Peace, my dear, peace my love, rest now, gods take you in..." Her voice sounded like an angel. Shadow looked down at the ground where Emerald was singing. Maria...

The flashback fadded. Emerald... I must know more about her. Shadow turned around, and began running back to her palace.

Soon everyone was in the hospital room and met Twilight. Rouge was talking to Knuckles, Tails, and Cream. Blaze, Marine, and Amy who was eyeing Sonic were talking. Silver and I were chatting also. Twilight was the only one silent. She was at Shadow's bed side. I noticed that. I walked over to her and said "It's okay. Shadow will survive this, he's been in worse situations." "I just don't want to lose him. I love him with all my heart." Twilight responded blinking back tears. "I'm positive he'll live. He's a strong guy." I said with a smile. I could tell she wanted to be alone so I left for Silver. "Twilight is really upset!" I told Silver to start a conversation. "I agree completly!" Silver agreed.

Half an hour later. I was the only one left in the room. I put my hand on his cheak. "I love you Shadow.I love you." I wispered. I heard a groan. I imedeatly faced Shadow. His eyes were the slightest bit open. I gasped. "Shadow!" I coulden't believe it.

shadow the hedgehog is awesome! its got so many choices for shadows future. but then the last story comes and you gotta fight black doom. im starting the dark storys. just so you know, i joined fanpop about 5 minutes ago. the game is so darn hard though, and it takes a while to beat it. the music is awesome and the gameplay is awesome to! my freind hates sonic so much and made this character named surge. my hedgehog i made is named cyro and he could kill surge by flicking. its realy anoying!!!!!!!!!! shadow could easily kill surge! so we made a game where you state your move and take turns....
