Chapter 12: Help Arrives

While that was happening, Silver, Shadow and Overlord were still fighting Malice. He tried catching them with his electric rings, but they missed. Shadow kicked him, but his electric armor blocked it.
"Does this guy ever give up?" Knuckles asked.
"Well, he is a being of pure evil, so I don't think he'll give up so easily," Gra added.
Silver and Overlord both punched him, and hit him. Right after that, Shadow fired another Chaos blast, and hit him too.
"You bore me....I'm outta here," said Malice.
He flew off towards his base, leaving them again.
When he left, Overlord turned back into Kyle.
"How do we track him down? We don't know where Sonic is," Amy asked.
"I have dark energy sensing abilities, so I can track any force of evil anywhere. He's not that far, so let's follow him," Kyle replied.
They got back in the X-Tornado and went after Sonic. Back at the base, Sonic went super like Shock said. He wasn't to happy about it, but he seemed like he didn't have a choice.
"There, you happy? I'm Super Sonic," he said.
"Yes, I am--now you will die!" he shouted.
"You can make me go super, but you CAN'T make me fight you!" he shouted.
Sonic continued to avoid him--but knew he couldn't keep it up for long.
"SONIC!" Shock shouted, watching him fly away.
He got so mad, he flew faster than before.
Then he shot electricity at him several times. But Sonic was too fast for him. He went faster, trying to get closer to Sonic. He grabbed him, and forced him to hit a wall. And then he shocked him. He was about to finish him off when Sonic quickly got out of the way.
"You're making me mad, Sonic!" shouted Shock.
He was about to race after him, when another flashback entered his mind. It was his younger self, watching Sonic on TV.
"Where are these images coming from?" he asked himself.
Sonic stopped, and flew back toward Shock.
"Those are your real memories that you're seeing, Shock. Try to remember more," he said.
He stood there for a second, thinking about those images.
"Could I really be just a kid?" he asked.
Then he got mad at Sonic.
"No! I am evil, and nothing else!" he shouted.
Then he grabbed Sonic by his neck with his whip.
"Don't do this, Shock--I'm your hero.." he said.
"Shut up, Sonic! I don't wanna hear it!" he shouted.
Then he threw him against a wall.
"This time, no one can save you..." he said, preparing to electrocute him.
Then Gra come out of nowhere and stepped in front of Sonic.
"Stop, Shock. He isn't your enemy--Malice is," he said.
Then another flashback came to him. It was off himself, being shocked by Malice. Is Shock finally remembering who is? Or will he be Malice's evil slave forever?
