Good.

Doesn't look like you guys have any shows until December, what do you plan on doing with your downtime?

At the moment we are just working on new songs and rehearsing for the shows coming up at the end of the year.

You released your debut album 'Stack Is The New Black' on August 14th and it debuted and number 1 on the Aria Charts. That must be a pretty good feeling. Did you ever expect anything like that to happen?

Yeah it was pretty much the greatest feeling that I've ever had. We always aim for the best result possible in everything we do, but we never expected such a result, especially on our first album. We're just very thankful for all the people who went out and got a copy.

Tell us a bit about the new record?

The new record is sort of a timeline of the last five years of our lives. There are songs on the album that were written when we just started out, and there are songs that were written two weeks before the album was recorded. I think this is quite obvious when listening to the album as there is a wide range of different sounds and styles between...

You guys are one of Newcastles biggest up and comers what do you think the secret is in the success?

haha we are? well i spose it is stick to your guns, play what you like playing and put a lot of effort towards it and hopefully it will pay off :)

But with fame also comes a lot of jealousy, how do you guys react to the forms of hatred you recieve from the local bands and fans?

haha well i think everyone loves me so... nah jk, i spose you laugh it off, some people arent going to like what you do but that doesnt mean its not worthwhile

What is your biggest influence on the music you write non musically?

girls mainly haha. the current album we have coming out i basically wrote about my last year in high school and my relationship with people in situations, but especially about girls i'm in love with who dont even know i exist haha

Short Stack are a three piece rock band from Budgewoi, New South Wales, Australia. The band consists of Shaun Diviney, the lead singer, guitarist and writer, Andy Clemmensen, the bassist and backing vocalist, and Bradie Webb, the drummer.

Short Stack formed in 2005 to enter Youth Rock, a competition for new bands[1]. While that year they didn't pass the first round, the next year they came 3rd overall in the state.

In 2007, to try and become closer to their fans, they started uploading episodes of "Short Stack TV" on Youtube, which follows their day to day lives. The first music video they released was for the song titled "Sway Sway Baby" which was filmed on Bradie's camera phone and posted onto the band's YouTube channel. The video received 5000 views on the first day, which made it the most viewed video on the site that day. After seeing "Drop Dead Gorgeous" (their second music video) on Youtube, MTV asked them to film an exclusive episode of "Short Stack TV",and other programs started to broadcast the clip, including Channel V and Video Hits.
