Yesterday afternoon I decided to watch the new Shrek movie which is currently out in the USA but not out in Ireland or the UK until next month. The movie Shrek Forever After is the 3rd prequel to the other 3 movies about an ogre who rescues a princess from a fire breathing dragon who turns out to be an ogre herself. Shrek who is now a dotting dad to three ogre kids misses his old life as an ogre and wishes that he can go back to being a fearful ogre again. A new villain Rumpkensin gives Shrek a contract to be an ogre for the day. But when Shrek signs it he is sent back in time to where he was hated and feared. Now Shrek must find a way back to the previous day in order for him to go back. I was quite disappointed in this one as it was like watching Cinderella III: A twist in time(you know the one with Cinderella’s evil stepmother turning back time). There was a lot of things that made no sense whatsoever e.g. when Shrek went back to another time Fiona is still an ogre and not a princess, Puss in Boots was like Garfield gone wrong LOL.

Shrek Forever After
Shrek has become a domesticated family man. Instead of scaring villagers away like he used to, the now-reluctant ogre agrees to autograph pitch forks. Longing for the days when he felt like a "real ogre," Shrek is tricked into signing a pact with the smooth-talking dealmaker, Rumpelstiltskin. Shrek suddenly finds himself in a twisted, alternate version of Far Far Away, where ogres are hunted, Rumplestiltskin is king and Shrek and Fiona (Cameron Diaz) have never met. Now, it's up to Shrek to undo all of Rumpelstiltskin's mischief in the hopes of saving his friends, restoring his world and reclaiming his one True Love and family.
