“Where is Soda?” You scream from your hospital bed.
Two-Bit had driven you to the hospital, because no one could get a hold of Soda. You were in extreme pain now. Each contraction hit you like a thousand swords.
“It’s too late to give her any medication,” one of the nurses whisper.
You see Ponyboy’s face go white. “No medication? Oh god. This will be great.” He says, eyes wide.
Another contraction hits. You wince.
“Well it looks like we are having a baby the old fashioned way.” The doctor said.
“Oh no. No no no. Give me the drugs. Give me the drugs.” You thought.
Another contraction hits. “Oh my god!” You scream, clutching your belly. The tears start to flow. You were in so much pain.
“Young man, it looks like you’re going to stay in with her till the father arrives.” The doctor says, turning to Ponyboy.
The look on his face would’ve made you wet your pants if you weren’t in labor.
“I’m not watching her push a baby out of her… You know!” Ponyboy says, voice getting high.
“Ponyboy, you better get the fuck over here and hold my hand or I swear I will never make you chocolate cake again and I will hit you soooo hard you won’t be able to have your own children.” You say, gritting your teeth to keep from screaming.
He immediately rushes over and grabs your hand.
“This is probably going to be the grossest…”
“Shut up!” You tell at him.
“I’m sorry!”
“Ok, just follow my instructions.” The doctor says calmly.
“How could he be calm?” You thought.
Another sharp pang comes.
“I hate your brother. I fuckin hate him.” You say as you squeeze Ponyboy’s hand.
“Ok when the next contraction comes, I need you to push.”
“This is so much work… And it hurts so bad.” You thought. You wished Soda was here. Or better yet, maybe you didn’t. You’d be yelling at him the whole time because this was his fault.
