(a flash of light speeds right past Sonic)

Sonic: What was THAT? I'm gonna go check it out!

Sonic speeds over to where the other speedy light stopped.

Shadow: Hello Sonic...

Sonic: Hey Shadow! Didn't expect you!

Shadow: I had a little chat with Maria last night... she said that she wanted to speak with you or something.

Sonic: Wow. What does SHE want from me?

Shadow: She wanted to know if you were a friend of mine, which I'm pretty sure I'm not, fool.

Sonic: Oof!
