Bloodcurling screams echoed through a silent valley. Trees were snapped in two like a stick, the sky stayed as a blank grey color, even the air itself felt dead.
Chills ran down the spines of seven mid-aged humans, three men and four women. They were dirty and bloody and exausted. If they walked any further, they'd collapse. One problem was that one of the women had a child along the way of this "adventure". The baby was a boy, and had a terrible fever. It cried. That was the only reason why they were here. Why they got caught.
