"I'm sorry you got stuck with me." Reaya dejectedly told Padame. "It's no problem,I could use some company." As she waved off her cousin's apology. Her mother had sent Padame the message. Reaya had called off her wedding due to the bantha kriffing, cheating on her. So she was staying home, to help calm down her brother's hot temper. Sola had come, but was running errands more then she was relaxing.
As they walked toward the Senate's hall. Padame looked on her travel viewer checking which items were on the docket."More appropriations for finding another natural suitable for cloning." Padame shook her head. Reaya stopped abruptly. "Why can't we just inject our own natural soldier's to cover the number of clones that die?" Reaya continued."It would be not only cheaper, but keep our forces from getting lax."
"You're right, but how many will we be having to sacrifice. Could you possibly sacrifice Tyrin,to keep our freedom's safe?" Tyrin was Reaya's younger brother by 13years. "He's only eight. If the war's still going on when he's 18, I hope he fights. Better to die fighting then be some lap dog or slave to a dictator."
Padame smiled at the girl's passion. Anakin would've loved to meet her. That's why her mother had to calm down her uncle before the man, unmanned the cheater. Entering the hall, they quickly seated themselves down into the Naboo representatives box.
As the senate got down to business, Reaya looked around. It was an awe inspiring building that echoed nearly every damned word one said. Which made her greatful she hadn't eaten anything before coming. " Those in favor of postponing the elections for chancellor say I. " Cried out the Senate crier. More then 1/2 the hall rang out. Leaving few to oppose, Padame was one of them. Reaya looked up at her cousin. "You're not in favor of Chancellor Palpatine any more." Padame shook her head."No not any more, I made a mistake. He's siezed too much power since the war's started. Perhaps if there was a new chancellor. There might be a means of reestablishing talks with the Seps, and ending this war." Reaya nodded,"I see your point. Power corrupts even the best of men." She said as the Senate moved on to more mondane items. In between tribal feuds and which general would be given a command she fell asleep. A nudge woke her as the day had come to its end. Padame smiled at Reaya, as she stretched from her long sleep."You see its not all excitement. " Reaya laughed. "Yah, but I can come tommorrow right." "Yes, you can come.Maybe bring a pillow or a good book so you don't get too bored." They laught out into the hall where they were accosted by the Chancellor."Hello, Senator Amadala. Who is your beatiful guest ?" He bowed low kissing Reaya's hand."This is my Uncle Remis daughter,Reaya. She's here to keep me company." Staightening up the Chancellor patted the girl's hand. "Very nice to meet you, any family member of the Senator's is always welcome in the hall. How did you like the business?" Reaya hand was starting to sweat. "I found it somewhat tiresome. Never the less a necessity if we are to keep ourselves from falling into a dictatorship." Palpatine laught, as he let go of her hand. "Quit the bite, for such a young non-representative. May I offer you both supper tonight." Padame shook her head."I'm sorry Chancellor, but my sister Sola is visiting and made reservations for the three of us at Marina's. Perhaps another night ." "Then I must not keep you from your supper perhaps another night then." Both women curtsied "Yes, another night. Til tommorrow then."
"Yes, tommorrow." The chancellor returned as they excused themselves to find a cab to take them to Marina's. Darth Sideous, had felt dear Reaya's uneasiness at his touch. A force sensitive perhaps.Definitely someone of much passion and fierceness. He was going to have to keep an eye on them both. He hurried to his apartments to talk with his associates.
