Nakoma was nervous. She was to meet Padme for the first time. She was so nervous, the whole thing got the best of her. Padme on the other hand was excited about meeting the new Padawan. Nakoma was in a dark room taking care of a sick Obi-Wan. At one point, she thought more about this meeting. And, she started to shake her leg.

"Can you please stop shaking your leg Nakoma?" Obi-Wan asked in a hoarse voice. Nakoma stopped shaking her leg feeling worse. She let her nerves get to her way too much. "It's alright." Obi-Wan reassured her. Nakoma gave a small smile. There was a knock at the door and she went to answer it.

"You ready Nakoma?" Anakin asked. Nakoma nodded nervously. "Get better soon, Obi-Wan." Anakin whispered before heading out to the ship with Nakoma. She looked up at him. "Padme is going to LOVE you!" he said full of confidence. This didn't make Nakoma feel much better though. The two got to Anakin's ship and headed to Padme's apartment.

Nakoma was trying her best to hold back tears of nervousness. Anakin looked at her. "You're really nervous about this, aren't you?" he asked with a sad look on his face. Nakoma nodded again. Anakin put the ship in hyperspace. "Don't be. Padme will love you. And she knows about your condition. So don't worry about a thing." he reassured. He took her in his arms as she began crying. "Shhhhh. Everything is going to be perfect." he comforted. Nakoma wiped her tears away and took a deep breath. The duo was soon at Padme's apartment.

Anakin knocked on the door and Padme soon answered. "Anakin!" she said with glee. The couple then shared a warm hug. "You must be Nakoma." Padme replied as soon as she saw the Padawan. Nakoma nodded. "Come in!" Padme said not wanting to make them stay in the doorway any longer. Nakoma nervously sat on the couch.

Padme began to get suspicious about why Nakoma wasn't talking. "You haven't said a word." she said. "Padme, she can't talk." Anakin whispered in her ear. "Oh, I forgot about that!" she replied in regret. Unfortunately, Nakoma heard all of this and rushed into the bathroom crying. This was the exact reason why she didn't want to go to the meeting. People would possibly forget about her condition and that embarrassed her more than anything.

Anakin went over to the bathroom door and knocked on it. "Nakoma." he answered in a low voice. There was no answer. "Nakoma, she just forgot." Anakin stated again. Still no answer. Anakin was about to lose his patience when Padme stepped in. "I'll take over Anakin." she said. She soon knocked on the door.

"Nakoma, I'm sorry for forgetting about your condition. Truly I am." she apologized. Nakoma reluctantly accepted her apology and unlocked the door. She hugged Padme in forgiveness. Padme gladly hugged her back. After that, the meeting was pitch-perfect.

After the meeting, the two headed back to the Jedi temple and Nakoma kept thinking about how glad she was to meet Padme. Though she hated how it all started out, she was humbled to have a new friend. Nakoma didn't have too many friends when she was a child. Her condition always got in the way. But she learned how to handle it pretty well. Padme wanted to meet the Padawan because she was so inspired by her story. This made Nakoma's confidence go through the roof as she found out later on. She and Anakin went back to his quarters and she soon went back to taking care of Obi-Wan.
