"Master Yoda, I have tried all forms of meditation. Yet been unable to pinpoint from where these disturbances come." Obi-wan said the jedi master. Yoda frowned deeply. All had felt the Force's sudden surge, and had been on the look out ever since. Nothing was ever found. Some said it was some new Chosen One or perhaps some life force joining the Force. Yet that question only breed more questions. " Capture your dreams you must, answer your questions they may." Obi-wan shook his head and produced the vid cube from his pocket.
"I've already done so.What answers it leads me to do not bring comfort or calm." He laid it on the table, as he got up. "You must forgive me, once is quite enough for me. May the Force be with you Master." Yoda nodded distressed by the young masters reactions.
Anakin waited outside the door, fidgeting. "Your going to have to rearrange your schedule, to look at least 1/2 way normal." Obi-wan winced. For Anakin to comment it must mean it was far worse.
Morgan stood cold and waiting for the next batch of unfortunates. Dooku eyed her from his throne, with much pride and an uncomfortable amount of passion. Yet first he needed her to fully embrace the darkness. Only then could he trust her at his side. Master and apprentice, partners and lovers. "Your hate is a beautiful thing my dear. It does you credence in your sparring. I warrant soon I will allow you to face the enemy." Morgan's eyes gleamed with hope as she eyed her toes." But first let us see if this new batch of guest's can be made to accept your gift." Morgan snapped her head to him.
She paled at the thought of creating more of her kind. Her hands bunched up in a burning hate, at which he smiled most pleased.
It took all her concentration not to give into his need to see her fall."You know its not possible. It doesn't matter if their droid, alien or human.
They all die." Morgan returned her gaze to the floor. Remembering the hope in her victim's eyes as Dooku had promised them that she could save them if the potion took badly. A lie cold and ruthless, made to corrupt her, made to stain her. Her vampiric blood, let none survive.
Not only did it drink the victim's blood but the muscle and bone, before returning to her. Many times Morgan had lost her stomach and tried to run. Yet where was there to run to. So she'd been reduced to swiftly killing them with her hands to spare them and herself.
Dooku nodded to the supervising droid, who let her off the neck bracket and handed her the chalice of blood. Morgan steadied her hands. If she could just hold on a little longer she could escape. She thought as she made her way down the wide steps. Looking up, she turned and threw the chalice towards Dooku and the droid. Screaming for the children to run, they scattered like ants in a rain storm trying to escape. Morgan herself shielded those she could as Dooku recovered from her onslaught. As she fell to victim to the blaster's rounds, her last glimpse of consciousness was of an 8 year old girl having her neck snapped by a droid. Dooku frowned as he kicked his apprentice's body over to see what damage she had taken. He shook his head. What a waste.
"Leave the corpses. Its time she understood that war is full of casualties. Both young and old."
Obi-wan curled up on himself alone in bed and had been since the nightmare's began. Pain, grief and soul rendering guilt ate up his rest. Tears blurred his vision as he looked to the clock. 2 p.m. He shivered at the meaning. Was he now no longer safe to sleep in the light of day? Would these night terrors follow him every time he fell victim to his bodies need for sleep? He would be driven mad and be taken ill if they did not leave him to sleep. Yet even as he thought, his eyes drifted back down into slumber.
His tears escaping down the sides of his face.
Morgan gently fingered the many braids of woven hair.Taken from each of the children. She could not be cleansed now. Dooku said nothing as he smugly watched her despair become a living thing.Watching her bury each of the children had been somewhat of a lengthy bore. Yet it had brought him the needed defeat. Finally he broke the silence.
"Your motherly instincts I find are much at fault, not your intellect. From now on you will be spared their deaths." Morgan shut her eyes and snarled. Sounding more beast then human. Yes she was coming along, the crack in her armor had been found. Soon his very special apprentice would be ready.
"I will be gone to deal once more with the scum of humanity." Morgan's startling golden eye's quirked."I'm sure they feel the same way about us." Dooku frowned, folding his arms.
"The jedi do not feel anything at all. They think they do what they must.
Their minds uncommitted to any answer of definite position. Until you have proven yourself a worthy apprentice there is no us." Morgan laught at the incredibility of the statement.
"Do you really believe that? If captured, us or no us. I would be considered a dark sider. Not only by the Order, but by the Republic." She snorted tilting her head to the side slightly.
"So tell me another one." Dooku nodded to one of his droids. Who hit her hard enough to knock out. Eyeing the droid he ordered.
"Leave off the beatings till I return. Just make sure she is put through her normal studies, while I am gone."
His absence was starting to cause his master some discomfort.Discomfort he could ill afford.
"I see those dreams must have settled down." Anakin smiled seeing his brother in arms once again take to the sunlight. Even if he was pale and had to wear sunglasses to protect his eyes. Obi-wan sighed and let a simple reassuring smile play across his features.
"For now they have. I was starting to wonder if I'd ever see daylight again." Anakin nodded, one good day on the fast approaching Tattooine would take care of that and his pale color. Anakin growled slightly.
"Anakin control your self. This is the very reason why the council has reservations about you taking the trials." Anakin swallowed his retort, but it was still felt. Obi-wan laid a hand on his brother's shoulder.
"I know you would pass them, but in these uncertain times it is no longer up to just me." Anakin nodded. Obi-wan relaxed knowing for Anakin Tattooine held nothing but ugly memories. As a slave and as the place where he had buried his mother.
Sota drummed her fingers. The slug of a Hutt hadn't paid for the latest job. An honest job, was an honest job. Yet now because of the huttlet she and her two companions were waiting around for some two bite jedi. The little puke had a crush on supposedly one of them and Jabba was ever a gifting father. She snorted. Cook folded her arms as she let her feet keep her chair up right. " Jedi are never on time. Fashionably late my ass. Why are we even allowing them into our business, Sota ?" Sota smiled putting out a lie to cover for her own discomfort.
" Let's just say I like knowing all the pieces on the board. Per say respectively if not intimately."
Tri twitched in her seat across from Cook.
"What about your own returned abilities? Do you really want them to know?" Sota laught.
"No worries there, their not reliable. Only in special cases am I able to even feel the Force any more. I very much doubt this will be one of those cases."
Anakin paused before the palace gate. His skin crawling. Ahsoka gently touched his arm.
" Come on Skyguy. The faster we get in there, the faster we can fly the flock out of here." She said trying to put a comedic spin on the tension her master was feeling. Anakin put a poorly tried smile on his face. " I wish we could just negotiate like in the old days. Never heard a complaint from any one." Obi-wan smirked. "To complain they'd have had to have been left alive. Those days are somewhat behind us for the moment. Tell me.What are your feelings on this situation?" He inquired. Anakin relaxed." It was a straight forward job. Except when the wanted poster says Dead or Alive, most bounty hunters prefer the bounties dead." Ahsoka nodded. " I just find it hard that it didn't take more then one bounty hunter to round up those seven." It had been hard for nearly any one to believe until they said the hunter had come from the academy. As the 3 jedi came to enter the assembly hall of the Hutt. A lethal looking woman with 2 companions was busy complaining." I have waited long enough Jabba! Either these precious jedi have fallen prey to treachery or no longer view you as essential." Anakin put a hand on his saber. Sota heard the swiftness of a hand and reacted. Throwing her cape she and her two companion's attacked. Cook caught the foolish jedi with her foot in his back as she popped up from behind him. Tri tripped the tall bearded man, but found herself on the defensive. The last and the smallest had merely ducked and moved out of the way of her. "Good for you, child. Your not as stupid as your master and his companion." Ahsoka listened to her opponents voice, finding it familiar. Tilting her head she tried to get a better look at the woman. " Who are you?" The Slayer laught, as she danced away from the others.
" Beat me and you may know it." Jabba watched holding his son aloft from the entertainment. Jabba had never seen the Slayer work. Rumors and 2nd hand did little to grant her the fear and respect many did. Now as he not only watched her play with the padawan, but her companions defend and successfully attack the jedi. He began to have 2nd thoughts about what pod he had put his money on.
Tri forced her saber wielding opponent into the stream of lighting. Obi-wan closed his eyes and used the Force to pick up a chair and give him the advantage. Suddenly Cook found herself facing not one but two jedi. "Mistress!" Sota tossed her beloved wide brimmed hat at the fancy foot moving child. The Force suddenly flared up and she obliged them. The two jedi men found themselves suddenly wriggling like fish caught by their tails. Cook swiftly went to retrieve Tri from the floor. "That is so rude gentlemen. 2 against one. For shame." From behind her she felt the 3rd. lay her saber near her fine locks of hair, burning the closest.
"Let them down." Came the command. Sota snorted. "What is your name child?" Ahsoka growled. " You haven't earned an introduction, scum." Sota laught and thought about throwing the two men against the opposite wall. " Are you deaf? I said let them down." Shrugging the Slayer flicked them slightly a bit more up before dropping them. Laughter curses and groans erupted all around. Sota ducked as the saber slashed towards her neck. Catching the saber with her bracelets as it came down to finish her in the kneeling position. "Ease off, Ahsoka." Came Anakin's command as he made the scene.
Sota smiled and winked, which had the desired affect. She kicked the youth over her as the girl pressed down. Getting up swiftly she stretched confidently. "What is your name Imprinted One?"
Offering her hand to the girl. Ahsoka narrowed her eye's at the woman as the light flittered on her face. "Morgan?" The woman lost her smile and paled shaking her head no. Jabba clapped his overly large disgusting paws calling attention to him. " I will meet the price you demand."
