Fans are waiting with bated breath as the Blu Ray and DVD release of The Force Awakens looms like a gigantic killer planetoid over the horizon, arriving to overpower your home theaters in April 2016.

The film, it goes without saying, was an unqualified success and one of the finest in the franchise, right up there with Episode V. As for the Blu Rays and DVDs, it's a spectacular release, with a massive trove of content for fans to explore. For example, "The Secrets of the Force Awakens" alone is well over an hour of riveting footage.

We'll be adding to our review throughout the week,...

Toydarians: *Walking towards a runway*

Song: link

Five months after the destruction of the Death Star, the Empire needed an ally. One that was strong, and capable of damaging the Rebel Alliance.

Jabba The Hutt assigned the Toydarian Army to aid the Empire, and this is the story of their first battle against the Rebels.

Toydarian Pilot: *Flying a Class-62 fighter*

Luke: *Looking around the town as he walks into a library* I thought there would be more soldiers here. *Looks at Mee sitting on a table, and walks over to him* What happened here?
Mee: What?
Luke: What happened?
Mee: Sorry sir, I can't hear you! I was stuck on a bell tower for eight hours, listening to the bells ring! Ding, dong, ding, dong!
Luke: *Walks towards Bail Organa. Jr* General Sireeto's team still hasn't arrived yet.
Bail: Resistance must be tough on Omega.

Salope's only weapons were several charges in a bag. The others that came along with her hid in a bush as she tried to get rid of two stormtroopers standing on guard.

Salope: *Walking towards the stormtroopers*
Stormtrooper 69: *Turns around* Hey, what are you doing?
Salope: Crossing the river. I'm trying to get back to my farm, over there.
Stormtrooper 53: That farm's been abandoned for years. You're under arrest for trespassing.
Salope: *Swings her bag, and knocks out a stormtrooper*

"SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY" (2018) Review

Following the release of Lucasfilm's ninth film, "STAR WARS: EPISODE VIII - THE LAST JEDI", the STAR WARS fandom seemed to be in a flux. Although the film received a positive reaction from film critics and was a box office hit, for many reasons it created a division within the franchise's fandom. And many believe that this division, along with a few other aspects, may have produced a strong, negative impact upon the next film released by Lucasfilm, "SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY".

Why did I bring up this topic? Easy. "SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY" proved to be Lucasfilm's...

As a die hard Star Wars fan,I have been eagerly awaiting for episode 8 since seeing the end of The Force Awakens. This time there was a new director at the helm,Rian Johnson.

I will try to make this review as spoiler free as possible(for those that haven't seen The Last Jedi yet) ...

I have just come from seeing The Last Jedi.Like all previous Star Wars movies, there are tons of special effects and giant explosions, and this one is no different. There were some old returning favorite characters and we met some new faces as well(Laura Dern,Benicio Del Toro and Kelly Marie Tran) and who could forget...

OK, OK, don't kill me! This is something that I've noticed about Star Wars that is very annoying to me. The annoying thing is this: it's inconsistent. I mean, think about it; things that happen in the prequels aren't always consistent with things that are said or happen in the OT. Part of the problem is the fact that the prequels were made long after the OT was. For example, in ANH, Obi Wan dies, and his body vanishes. In ROTJ, Yoda dies and his body vanishes. But, again in ROTJ, Anakin/Vader dies and it doesn't appear that his body vanishes, and in TPM, Qui Gon dies, and his body doesn't...

"MY PROBLEM WITH KYLO REN"

Kylo Ren has to be THE MOST overrated character I have ever seen in the Star Wars saga. I am amazed by how so many fans have gone out of their way to put this guy on a pedestal. My personal disgust for this worship has nothing to do with him being portrayed as a villain. There are plenty of other villains - within the saga or not - that I actually find interesting. My problem with Kylo Ren is that I do not find him either interesting or well written.

I will start this article with a question. What was the reason behind Kylo Ren aka Ben Solo embracing evil? What was...

Kellie and Jolie were flying their X-Wings towards two dozens of Toydarians. The ships they were about to fight were mostly Class-68, with three Class-62's. They had to maintain radio silence to prevent the Toydarians from spotting them before their attack

Jolie: *Flying next to Kellie, who is to her right*
Kellie: *Looking towards the ground, she sees the twenty four ships at a lower altitude*
Jolie: *Looking at Kellie*
Kellie: *Pointing at the ships*
Jolie: *Nods*
Kellie: *Gives Jolie a thumbs up*

General Lizzon was inspecting other sections of Sandy Point when another General walked into the control tower.

General: Where did all the X-Wings go?
Tower Operator: General Lizzon's orders. His main concern is sabotage.
General: Unacceptable. Get those X-Wings back out there now. We need those pilots to get up in the sky as quickly as possible if an enemy does attack. Also if Lizzon's really worried about sabotage, he would leave those X-Wings the way they are, so that the guards can watch them all without having to turn their heads. Now, as I said earlier, get those X-Wings back out there.

General Ozzel: A majority of our officers have left to take part in some war games on Mygeeto. Grand Moff Lebelt is with them. She has ordered Musker and the others to go to their usual spots by the beaches in Champalla. She is still convinced that the Rebels will start the invasion there.
Orrian: It's a good thing that you're in charge, instead of Colonel Jörgenstien. Otherwise, we'd be in trouble.

"THE LIGHTSABER CONNECTION"

A great deal has been made of the light saber given to potential Jedi acolyte Rey by former smuggler Maz Kanata in “STAR WARS: EPISODE VII – THE FORCE AWAKENS”. It was during this moment when young Rey experienced visions of her past as a child and her future encounter with villain Kylo Ren. It was this moment when movie audiences became aware of her connection to the Force.

I really do not recall how I felt when I first saw this scene. After all, it has been at least two years since the movie’s release. Yet, the more I think about it, the more I have come...

In the desolate hopelessness that was Tatooine, there rose a scream to scare the damned. Blood and bodies decorated the great hall of Sota Slayer's home. Her brother and twin lay dead amongst his family, worse was those who'd done the deed sat dejectedly in the high backed chairs. Three of the litter of 5, sat blood smeared and defeated while their husband's stood behind them. Closing on them with her saber, she found herself gaining altitude. A large black eagle had her in its clutches as it whisked her away out of the accessible high window. Dropping her into the oasis,Sota floundered in...

Captain Needa, and Major Lesden were talking to Colonel Jörgenstien.

Captain Needa: Since General Ozzel isn't here, perhaps you can talk to Lord Vader in Endor, and see if he'll send us anymore tanks.
Colonel Jörgenstien: Well thanks to General Ozzel's silly assumption of an invasion in Cenell, we can't get any tanks to defend Champalla. I just called Cenell, and they believe Han Solo is leading an attack.
Orrian: What? Last I heard, he was in Hoth.

"STAR WARS: EPISODE IV - A NEW HOPE" (1977) Review

Long ago (thirty-five years and seven months, to be exact) and in a galaxy far, far away, producer-director-writer George Lucas made film history with the release of his movie, "STAR WARS: EPISODE IV - A NEW HOPE". Only, during the summer of 1977, it was simply known as "STAR WARS". And this science-fiction/fantasy homage to Saturday morning serials and mythology was something that moviegoers had never seen before.

Now considered as the fourth film installment of Lucas' STAR WARS saga, "A NEW HOPE" chronicled the adventures of a space-aged farmboy...

"STAR WARS: EPISODE I - THE PHANTOM MENACE" (1999) Review

Sixteen years after the 1983 movie, "STAR WARS: EPISODE VI - RETURN OF THE JEDI" hit the movie screens, producer-director George Lucas returned to the world of STAR WARS for a new trilogy that depicted the years before the 1977-1983 movies, starting with the 1999 film, "STAR WARS: EPISODE I - THE PHANTOM MENACE".

"THE PHANTOM MENACE" was received very poorly by critics and veteran STAR WARS fans when it was first released in 1999. Many believed that it failed to capture the spirit of Lucas' saga first established in the first three films....
