I want to see this film again!
Hi guys, I had seen this film many years and it is my second favourite film by Stephen King after Rose Red.

The Story

The film opens at a nursing home where Paul Edgecomb is having a special power of immortality, this is actually a punishment for him because he executed a black who he was falsely accused of raping a young girl while working at a jail.
Out of his horror story, this is actually a very sad story and I literally cried throughout the entire movie! I also feel sorry for both Paul and John, especially the latter because he did not commit a crime and that he was an African American too.

Movie Connections

Overall, the film reminds me of Titanic and Iris, mainly because it's like a main protagonists who is now in their elderly form telling the story of their younger days to their friends and recalling the memories of their painful pasts, whereas in this film, it deals with racism and it reminds me of To Kill a Mockingbird. To which, I will watch the film sometimes soon as I had read the book earlier on.

What a creepy poster this is!
Hi guys, since my review on Rose Red is on the front page. Here are my thoughts on both Rose Red and the 1999 remake of the Haunting.

The Haunting

When I first watch this movie, I did not know that this a reboot of the original 1963 version. However, unlike the latter. The 1999 version is actually a bastardised version of the novel on which both the original 1963 version is base on, that's why it receive such low ratings from both the critics and fans alike.
In this version, Hugh Crain is the main antagonist and Nell is his descendant. He killed the children once Hill House was completed, and this movie gave me temporary nightmares about it.
However, I personally felt that the movie should at least show some flashbacks so that the audience could have some ideas on how Hugh Crain became a murderer and his relationship with Nell.
But on the other hand, I could not agree more with both the fans and the critics over why this movie sucks BIG time!

I see you!
Hi guys, I had seen Rose Red and I am currently seeing it again as Halloween is around the corner. I am going to write a review about it and why I consider this as my only favourite Horror movie despite that I dislike Horror films.

The Story

While watching this movie, the film eerily reminds me of Shirley Jackson's The Haunting of Hill House. On which the film took inspiration from, another story by Stephen King on which it took inspiration from is Carrie. Ironically, Annie Wheaton reminds me of Carrie and Eleanor 'Nell' Vance from the Haunting of Hill House as they have telekinetic power.
Unlike the Haunting of Hill House, the story is based on a true story about a Winchester house in Seattle, USA. Which is rumour to be haunted!

The Cast

I absolutely adored the cast, especially Kimberly J Brown's portrayal as Annie Wheaton. I actually know her from Halloweentown, and she portrayed the character amazingly despite that she was typecast as Marnie Piper!

Scalpel! Sutures! Sponge! Hemostat! Psychic!

In ''Stephen King's Kingdom Hospital'' a German shepherd speaks with an Arnold Schwarzenegger accent. Comical talking animals may not be the most distinctive feature of Mr. King's 13-part series, which starts tonight on ABC, but they could be the scariest. Channels have been switched for far less. Mr. King has always leavened his horror stories with humor, and his storytelling has been captivating even when his jokes fall flat. ''Kingdom Hospital,'' set in a spookily empty hospital...
