What is bullying? It is when you say or do something hurtful to intimidate the person. The most common type of bullying is verbal bullying. Two dangerous types of bullying in my opinion are verbal and cyber bullying. Verbal bullying is when someone makes fun of another person or saying offensive words. Verbal bullying is the most common way to be bullied. Verbal bullying can lead to emotional depression in many ways. Verbal bullying can lead to lowered self image. Verbal bullying can be involed by gender, race, disabilities and Homophobia
Homophobic means when you are picking on someone if they are gay or lesbian. Raciest means you are making fun of someone because of their skin color. Making fun of someone because they have a disable of something is called making fun of someone because they have a disabilities. Sexist means you are judging someone of making fun of someone based on their gender. An example of sexiest is when boy says mean things to a girl because she is a girl or when a girl makes fun of a boy because he is a boy.
Kids have been bullied for generations but the internet creates another place for kids to get bullied. Cyber bullying is when a person harasses or threatens someone on the internet or on cell phones. People might think cyber bullying is harmless and there are no consequences, but cyber bullying can lead to suspension, being kicked off sports teams and more punishments. You can also get arrested by cyber bullying because the owners can find the I.P. address to find out what computer the messages are coming from and the police might show up at your house sooner or later.
People say that the only reason people bully is because they want your power. There are other reasons why people bully for example social issues, cultural causes, family issues and more reasons. Bullying can make a person feel unhappy, useless, frightened or lonely. On rare effects on bullying can make the victim commits suicide. About 50 million kids are killed because of bullying each year.
That’s why today cyber bullying is against the law in 38 states. If you are being bullied you can go to a trust worthy adult or principal. The bully might think you have the problem but you don’t have the problem the bully does.
So know you know how bullying can affect people and how awful it is. More than 50 million people are killed because of bullying and you can stop it if you won’t be a bully. If you witness someone being bullied tell an adult or a trust worthy principal. If you don’t want to be bullied don’t bully other people. Remember you’re not the one with the problem the bully is.
