There seems to be a widely-held opinion right now that Sam has abandoned Dean and has no respect left for him; that after everything Dean has done for him, he turned his back when Dean needed him the most. Wow. What kind of brother does that? A selfish, arrogant, ungrateful, weak-charactered one, that’s who! I would like to explain why I think Sam is not that kind of brother, and why he is, in fact, the stronger character of the two. It's a big part of why I'm attracted more to Sam than Dean.

First of all, Sam is not a shallow person who selfishly ran away to college while leaving his father and brother to carry on the “family business”. His family epitomized the word “dysfunctional” from the time he was six months old.

Sam craved normalcy, and therefore he had an intense desire to “fit in”. How could he do this with the kind of life his family led? He learned to pretend. To hide his thoughts and feeling about what his family did. He learned to cope with it the best way he could; indeed the way he was ordered to: shut up about the Big Family Secret. Any anger he may have shown, any displeasure with the business, any resistance...

For the time being, there is a LOT of evidence that Sam is totally going bad. For one, he has demon blood in him. Two, he can use special psychic powers to send demons back to Hell. Three, he doesn't listen to anyone, whether it be an angel, a psychic, or his own brother, when they tell him he should stop using his powers. Four, he has now acquired a taste for demon blood. Ew. Five, he hangs out with Ruby behind Dean's back, then lies about it. Six, he can now kill demons with some serious concentration and a clench of his fist. Wow, that's a long list.

But in a way, he's doing the right thing. Not hanging with Ruby, demon skank extraordinaire, but with fighting and killing the demons. I mean, he has these powers. He can't stop them, or prevent himself from having them in the first place, or abstain from using them, because he gets really bad headaches, so he's got no other alternative.

It's like Harry Potter. Harry has these nasty Voldemort powers. He can see into his mind, and everyone is trying to get him to turn it off, but he can't. Now he has two options: he can either embrace his dark side and let Voldemort see inot his mind for access into the...

To start off, this isn't an article meant to badtalk Sam, I was just thinking about why I don't like him as much as I like Dean.
What got me thinking was a pick on the Winchester Spot link
The options were:
Dean's ability of protecting Sam at any cost <3
Dean's unique style
His looks ;)
He's a tough guy / bad-boy
Dean's humor XD
All valid reasons why I like Dean, but none of them really explained why I didn't like Sam(not that I hate him!). He's intelligent and brave; handsome and charming. So why don't I like him as much?

When I thought about it for a bit, I realized that I could pinpoint the exact reason that I didn't connect to Sam the way I do with Dean.
In the Pilot episode, we learn that Sam left his family to go to college. Intellectually, I can understand his desire for a normal life. Who wouldn't want to escape the pressures of a hunter's life? Especially if they felt they were never given a choice. However, on a purely emotional level, it's...

I have been thinking way too much about this show and I have some conjecture I'd like to lay out. I have no solid theory, just some ideas I want to throw out there and see what you guys think. So here we go.

In the Season 3 Official Companion, it states that Lilith is more powerful than Azazel. But in the show, he is called the tyrant that ruled over the demons. Were Azazel and Lilith counterparts, like king and queen? Or did they have separate jurisdictions? Were their plans separate as well? Azazel's to create the ultimate human-demon hybrid and Lilith's to free Lucifer. Or did they work together as equals? Or was Azazel subordinate to Lilith? Was it her plan to create the psychic kids? If that's the case, why would she want Sam dead? But what real evidence do we have that she actually wanted to kill him? Ruby's word? Yes, Lilith pursued him, but how close did she ever come to actually killing him?
Jus in Bello: Dean is the one who gets shot and there's no telling if the demons would have killed them both. Remember Ruby showed up to help but Dean refused to accept it. She could have been waiting in the wings to swoop in and rescue Sam...

I just saw the new movie Taken, I give it 5 stars, it's about this x cop dad and his daughter, she goes to Paris for a trip to follow a band. This is where Katie comes in, she is with the daughter and u see her through the beginning a middle! She is her close friend in the movie but she is far from are old Ruby, but she acted really well :)

Yeah, so I am more than happy :) The movie really is about how (and real) how people sell girls they find them as they come to new countrys and take them to sell for money. It is rated R because of drug use and dramatic events but all and all it has Katie who I miss and it is just plan awesome and it is something different to watch.

Please go see it!

"no chick flick moments".."alright jerk" "bitch"
Okie dokie...one of the reason i watch Supernatural is because of its quirky funny quotes..they can make you laugh even if you're scared out of your wits or you shed a tear or two..
Here are a couple of my favorite lines from the latest season:

Lazarus rising
Dean: Look, pal, I'm not buying what you're selling. Who are you really?
Castiel: I told you.
Dean: Right. And why would an angel rescue me from hell?
Castiel: Good things do happen, Dean.
Dean: Not in my experience.

Dean: You mean the gas station and the hotel. That was you talking? (Castiel nods) Buddy, next time lower the volume.
Castiel: It was my mistake. Certain people, special people, can perceive my true visage. I thought you would be one of them. I was wrong.
Dean: And what visage are you in now, what, holy tax accountant?

Demon waitress: So you get to just strolled out of the pit, huh? Tell me, what makes you so special?

Dean Winchester is one of the greatest characters ever to grace a television screen; a three dimensional, dynamic, very real person dealing with extraordinary events. His actions are both believable and relatable. This is in part due to the excellent writers that work on Supernatural, but mostly due to the extraordinary acting of Jensen Ackles. The best writers in the world can create the best character in the world, but if you hand that character over to an inept actor, then the writing becomes mediocre at best. And the opposite is true as well. Give a talented actor a poorly written character and he can transcend the bad script and make the character more than the writers could dream. I have seen Jensen do this with other roles(i.e. Dark Angel, Smallville, Devour). Jensen has the range and subtlety to play a complex, multi-layered character with seeming ease, allowing us to share in Dean's pain, anger and happiness.

Dean Winchester is flawed and that makes him perfect. He can be obnoxious, pushy, close-minded, and bullheaded. He can also be brave, fiercely protective, compassionate and steadfast. He can be both incredibly selfless and incredibly...

Sam Winchester, once the moral compass of Supernatural, has lost his way. He is more susceptible than ever to outside influences now, having lost his center; his brother. When Dean died, he lost his guide. Without Dean's direction, he gave way to his darker impulses. He cut himself off from Bobby, the one person who cared about him, and started down a path that he knew could lead him to ruin. Sam has a greater tendency to be ruthless when left to his own devices(i.e. Mystery Spot, Bedtime Stories). Dean helps to keep him on track. Take Jus in Bello; Sam was definitely considering cutting out Nancy Fitzgerald's heart before Dean came up with another plan. Which brings me to another point. Sam is easily influenced. If Dean had not been there, I believe that Ruby would have convinced him that that was the only way. After Dean's death, Sam found another guide in Ruby. He let her persuade him into using his powers. He not only allowed her to train him, I believe he followed her lead and let her convince him that killing Lilith should be his priority. He gave up trying to rescue Dean from hell after less than four months and began pursuing...

I don't know if this actually deserves to be an 'article' but I wanted to share the extent of my fangirl-ness with you all!

So here it is, my Supernatural inspired tattoo! I know I'm not the first person out there to do this, I've seen pictures of other people just as addicted as I apparently am. But that's not the point I love my tattoo and wanted to show it off to the whole of fanpop. Or at least the Supernatural spot not sure many other spots would care all that much!

I decided when I first saw the the Winchesters flash their chests in Jus In Belo and they had their incredibly hot tattoos that I wanted one too. This is actually amazing as I have a HUGE fear of needles and have always thought and said that I'd never be able to get a tattoo! But did it, I faced my fear and got my very first tattoo. It hurt like hell but I did it!

So there it is my big news from my abence over the summer (not that anyone here will have noticed I was gone I'm sure lol) And well basically I wanted to show off hope you don't mind my self indulgent ramblings.

They CW company has just released that they have signed a contract to bring back season 4. This as you can see is very good news but the better news is dean is not oficially dead. It has been released by producer Eric Kripke that Dean will be resurrected in the first or second epsiode of season 4 which should be returning around september 4th. However it will be not all smiles and roses in his return as Dean returns from hell with a demonic attitude. He see's things now as a man risen from hellas part demon. They do not state how Sam resurects dean but he does say this is the last time they will be killing a Winchester as it's only believable that they could rise from hell so many times.

How do the writers foresee the end of the show? Have you planned that out yet?
I'm certainly not going to tell you what the endgame of the show is...but yes, it is planned out. I know what the last scene of the series is. I've known this final story, how it all ends, from the very beginning, from before we even shot the pilot. And I've never wavered from it, not once. Some smaller story threads shift a bit - a Roadhouse here, some psychic kids there - but at the end the day, those aren't what the show's truly about, at its core. But we've always been steadily on the course of the main story, the big story, and we're heading towards it in a very conscious way.

doesn't that sound like the end isn't going to be happy? the show is about sacrifice and helping others and your family. doesn't that mean they might all go to hell in the end or something equally scary?
lol ok i know i'm kinda very obsessed. but this is an interesting topic to hypothesize. so hypothseise! :)

Okay so I was bored and decided to make up rules for a Supernatural drinking game when I was rewatching a buncha episodes and realized that a lot of things are recurrent - as with any ol' show and I was like, "Hey, I can totally get trashed watching an episode." How, you say? Well I'm glad you asked.

The Supernatural Drinking Game

Drink when:
- Dean smirks
- Sam pouts/frowns
- Dean wiggles his eyebrows (in a lewd way?) hehe
- Sam huffs
- one of them says "Remember that case in..."
- one of them says "Maybe this isn't our kinda thing/department, etc."
- Sam says something about how there are different versions of the monster-of-the-week in many cultures
- Sam cuts Dean off when they're pumping townies for info
- Dean says "bitch" or "sonofabitch" and any variation of
- Sam gets emotional and wordy
- Dean refers to Sam as "college boy"
- Dean calls Sam a nerd
- Dean mentions how Sam needs to get laid
