Please help me learn!

Kinda worried about posting this here, doesn't exactly seem like the most active club... Background time! My brother knows a lot about computers, so I've never had to do anything with them, and now that I'm in high school and my brother's in college I figure I should start learning how to do more with a computer then use web browsers and openoffice. Thing is, I know absolutely nothing. I am the queen of the noobs and I'm trying to escape the noob kingdom. I'd like to learn about terms used, how to take care of a computer, etc. Is there a YouTube channel or a book I could use to start learning about them?
