Hello Ellen,

My wife would watch your show everyday, she always said however here day was going that you would cheer her up. I lost my job in August and it has been a major struggle getting by. We have a 6 year old son that is so excited for Christmas, it brakes my heart to look at him because unless things turn around there wont be a Christmas for him. I started to watch your show as well, I know what my wife means now because for an hour a day I can smile and forget about all that is going on and wanted to thank you for making me smile and forgetting life's struggles just for a little bit of my day.

Dear Ellen,
I am quite embarrassed writing this article to you. My husband and I married young and went to college together in another state. I had never been away from home before.I was raised to be a very dependent child and he was raised to be very independent. He has taught me all I know. However; we we were both lucky enough to be raised with good values! We just celebrated our 41st anniversay, getting married when I was 17 and he was 20. We both are educated parents of four children. My husband became ill about the year he turned 30.He had Ulcerative Colitis and eventually had to have an ileostomy. He is now 61. He received an ileostomy that is irreversible due to the earliest of the illness. Since that time, he had suffered daily with adhesions from scar tissue which encompasses daily pain and nausea.
He lives on prescribed drugs but the pain and nausea never go away.He is on permanent disabilty. I live with depression and anxiety. I have been an elementary school teacher for 23+ years. I am currently on leave with no pay. We have four beautiful children and 1 beautiful grandchild at present. I have recently fount a wonderful doctor and therapist out of...

Dear Ellen, my name is jean. Patty is my best bud of 45 + yrs. Patty has luekemia. She is on SSDI and her SUV died winter of 2014, and is still without a car. She is always in a positive attitude and never says "no" to someone in need. She lives with & cares for her mom & challenged brother. The family has no auto. There is not always a fill-in for rides to doctors & store. I rarely get to see her now, we only live cross town. Can you PLEASE help her. She was also my taxi, as my car was stolen in2007. We don't get to go birding or star gazing any more. That was our therapy. I miss seeing by friend. Can you help her? Your Loyal admirer, Jean. P.S. Just found out that her half brother will lose house because of motorcycle accident. he is so lucky to even be alive. All money has gone to surgeries & bill. It was other driver's fault but has limited insurance. He can't work again and exhausted all option. Neil's family needs help too. Many surge ries still to come.

1. For me, it's that I contributed, ... That I'm on this planet doing some good and making people happy. That's to me the most important thing, that my hour of television is positive and upbeat and an antidote for all the negative stuff going on in life.
Ellen DeGeneres

2. I don't understand the sizes anymore. There's a size zero, which I didn't even know that they had. It must stand for: 'Ohhh my God, you're thin.'
Ellen DeGeneres

3. I gotta work out. I keep saying it all the time. I keep saying I gotta start working out. It's been about two months since I've worked out. And I just don't have the time. Which uh..is odd. Because I have the time to go out to dinner. And uh..and watch tv. And get a bone density test. And uh.. try to figure out what my phone number spells in words.
Ellen DeGeneres

4. I was coming home from kindergarten--well they told me it was kindergarten. I found out later I had been working in a factory for ten years. It's good for a kid to know how to make gloves.

The bathroom concert series idea came from a Youtube sensation Rin on the Rox. These 2 girls performed in their bathroom because of the acoustics.
What happened? Who where there? All is to be found here:
