well a good book I've read was umm, Prey. If you're into all that science fiction stuff which clearly you are since you read The Host. Its a really good book. A little depressing but it's a good read. seriously..

Nothing really. But I've read Pillars Of The Earth by Ken Follett and Under The Dome by Stephen King. They're really great, but difficult to read. If you want something simpler, something more like The Host, I have to recommend The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. Read about the book, I think you'll like it.

Well, if you want to continue with the theme of science fiction or "magic realism" maybe Michael Ende or Isaac Asimov. There are also good latinamerican authors of this "kind" like Gabriel García Márquez and Juan Rulfo. And if you want to play it safe, read Jane Austen, she never fails and she's my personal favorite :D.

Another good read after The Host is 'Evermore' by Alyson Noel, from the Immortals series. It's about an Immortal called Damon and a girl called Ever who has just lost all of her family in a car crash. Just like my all time favourite book The Host,I couldn't put this book down.
