Yeah she jumps down the elevator shaft but I guess they changed it to suit the way they tell the story

Wait, wait, hold on. The last time I checked, Wanderer was the main character (along with Melanie, of course, but mainly her) and there was a hottie named Ian as well. Trailer is now all about Jared and Melanie, where is Wanderer, where are her thoughts?

The book was mostly internal thoughts and much of the story took place in caves. Movies by definition are very
visual, so right away some things are going to change. Did you also notice Ian doesn't have black hair and the Seeker is dressed in white? The story is what's important, and as long as they got the essence of the characters and the plot, the details don't matter. Stephenie Meyer collaborated on every part of the movie, and it has her seal of approval.

Did you also notice that Ian doesn't have black hair and the Seeker is not a tiny woman dressed in black? As long as the characters and plot are true to the spirit of the book, the details don't matter. Stephenie Meyer collaborated on every part of the movie, and it has her seal of approval. As for Ian, his transformation was one of the big surprises of the book, and I'm glad they didn't give that secret away.
