Ever play The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time? If you have, you probably know that it is widely considered the greatest game of all time. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion of course, but if you don’t think it’s one of the best games, it is high up there. The music scores were impeccable, the story was fantastic, and what I’m here to talk about, the ending. Again, if you have beaten this game, you know the ending when Navi leaves your side; you place the Master Sword back in the altar and close the door of time. Then, you see the young Link seeing Zelda again in the back of the castle. There is no reaction; they just look at each other… The screen grays out and then fades away, with the message “The End.”
If you think deeper into it with questions, what happens to them, what is going on in their heads? Does Link, Zelda, or both of them remember about what happened seven years in the future? Does the past get repeated and Ganondorf reins over Hyrule all over again? During the end when Link gives Zelda the ocarina, she says, “It’s time to go home where you belong. The way you are supposed to be,” is this actually true? Sure, Link is home, but he isn't the way he was before, is he? This ending just leads to so much speculation, that it will keep you wondering until the end of time. (No pun intended) What do you think happened, at least not counting to the “sequel” Majora’s Mask?

It all starts with Ocarina of Time when Link takes out the Master Sword and makes two timelines. After Link destroys Ganondorf in the adult timeline he returns to the past. Then Ganondorf with the Triforce of Power escapes with no Link the Goddesses flood Hyrule which gos to Wind Waker, Phantom Hourglass, and Minish Cap. For the kid timeline Ganondorf never got sent to the jail the Master Sword sent him to, instead the sages try to kill him for something else. That leads to the Twilight Princess. After that is A Link to the Past, Links Awakening, and then the other 2d storyless games.
