Probably not, but I'd be okay with it if it wasn't like a book series "written" by one of the characters. Castle's Nikki Heat series was not pretty, in fact it was painful to read. I don't want The Mentalist to suffer the same fate.

yeah, I agree but when I read the Smallville books I did like'em though, so it might be possible to make good books about it, you just need a good author!
