This is my epilogue. I have to say that if you've been following this fanfiction since the beginning, I am totally grateful! You guys are the reason I never gave up on this story. So, here it is. The end!

" Jane. Jane! JANE!!!" Lisbon yelled sleepily.
" huh? Teris?" Jane said, half asleep.
" We have to go to work." As Lisbon started to climb out of bed, Jane grabbed her wrist.
" Five more minutes." Jane whined. Lisbon rolled her eyes but climb back under the covers with him.
" Five minutes." she said sternly.
" I love you." Jane said suddenly.
" I love you too Patrick." Lisbon said before she fell asleep.

" I'm so sorry I'm late gu- wait! Where are Rigsby and van Pelt?" Lisbon asked Cho, the only agent there besides herself. And Jane of course.
" I don't know. Why are you and Jane so late?" he asked with a hint of a smile.

So. Jane and Lisbon.

The writers and actors don't want those two to get together. In fact, they laugh at the fans that want them to. Which personally I find a bit rude, but I won't get into that. Anyway, their reasoning for them not getting together (at least right now) is "they have more of a brother/sister relationship."

Bull.

I'm sorry, but every time someone is trying to make an argument for why two people shouldn't be a couple, it's always either "they have no chemistry" or "they have a brother/sister relationship." But I've never seen anyone deny Jane and Lisbon's chemistry, so I won't focus on that overused argument. So. Brother and sister, huh?

I disagree.

Because newsflash: Not all chemistry is romantic, but not all non-romantic chemistry is sibling like. I feel that people use the word "siblings" to try and make us think it'd be almost taboo if they got together, instead of actually writing them as siblings.

4.10 Fugue in Red Spoilers - TVGuide 5-18 December Transcript
The Mentalist Goes Mental Episode 410 Fugue in Red
This might not seem like a laughing matter, but it is! Tonight on The Mentalist, someone comes very close to murdering Patrick Jane, the criminal analyst played by Simon Baker, and it will leave our hero with a bizarre case of selective amnesia – which has him reverting back to the wicked, womanizing ways of his youth.
“Patrick is once again the completely conscience-free hustler he was in the years before the audience met him.” Says creator Bruno Heller “He’s forgotten he ever had a wife and daughter and they were murdered by Red John. It’s a chance to see him as a truly happy man.”
One sequence has Jane conducting a scam séance in a bar full of firefighters and their ladies. Simon really threw himself into this. Says Heller, “it’s a very funny performance.”
Because Jane’s state is so delicate, his cronies at CBI must treat him with kid gloves. His Boss Teresa Lisbon has been warned by doctors “she can’t tell Jane about his memory gap,” says Heller, “She must allow his mind to heal in...

" It's official. Jane broke Lisbon." Van pelt announced to the team as she came out of Lisbon's office.
" What'd he do?!" Rigsby snarled. Cho broke his usually silence by saying,
" Just give the word and we'll kill him." there wasn't much humor in his voice.
" I'll let Jane tell you since he's obviously pretending to sleep on the couch over there." Jane sat up and stared at everyone.
" Just one question." he said.
" You ask some DA ( dumb @$$ ) question and I'll kill you with my bare hands." Rigsby said.
" Nothing dumb or inappropriate. I promise. Just, did I really hurt her?" Van pelt seemed surprised, as did Rigsby. Cho had long ago returned to his old, emotionless self so he had no reaction.

I decided I wanted to do a Thanksgiving fan fiction, so here you go. I'm sorry for anyone following my other fanfiction right now, I'll have the new chapter soon! Disclaimer: I do not own the mentalist. It should be coming for Christmas though. ;)
_____________________
Kimble Cho, Wayne Rigsby and Grace Van pelt all bustled around the kitchen, putting the finishing touches on their thanksgiving meal.
" Where are Jane and Lisbon?" Van pelt asked her male coworkers. They shrugged.
" Who knows? Maybe they went to get more cranberries?" Rigsby offered. As if on cue, Teresa Lisbon walked through the door dragging a annoyed Patrick Jane behind her.
" For the love of God Jane!! At least PRETEND to have a good time! It's only Thanksgiving!!!"
" I hate thanksgiving!! What is there to be thankful for?!" Lisbon let go of Jane and stared at him for a moment. Then, she whispered something in his ear. He looked at her and hugged her, she didn't seemed surprised by the sudden invasion of personal space. She even hugged him back.

Love is forever. Unless Patrick Jane says something stupid
I'm so freakin' sorry it took me so long to write this chapter!!!! I'm working on my latest novel and had NO TIME for this. I still cry every night 'cause i DONT OWN THE MENTALIST!!!!
_______________________________

" Thanks for making me go out tonight Jane. I had.... fun." Lisbon said to Jane at the steps of her apartment.
" Me too." Jane had that 'I'm gonna pull something but you don't know what the heck it is' look. Lisbon stepped a little bit closer.
" We should do this again sometime. Just you and me." she took another step forward. Jane didnt seem to notice the gap between them that Lisbon was slowly closing.
" You know, maybe all of us could go mini golfing next week! Wouldn't that be fun Lisbon?" Jane genuinely seemed excited over mini golf.
" yeah, sure Jane." Lisbon mumbled. Then, she pressed her lips to his. She wanted to make this something special, something he would remember forever. But, as fate would have it, Jane pulled away.

The second chapter of " Lisbon's turn at Love"
Disclaimer: I still don't own the mentalist. Someone else beat me in THAT auction ( but I won CSI. ) JK! But seriously, i don't own the mentalist.
-------------------------------
" Boss? Boss! LISBON!" Lisbon suddenly woke up from her daydream. She was taken back by the sight of Patrick Jane inches from her face.
" WHAT?!" Lisbon yelled, trying ( and failing ) to hide her blushing face. Jane noticed her bright red cheeks and just smiled slightly.
" Um, I just wanted to tell you that all of us are going out tonight and was wondering if you'd want to come." Jane looked a little self concious about inviting Lisbon out with him. Lisbon loved it.
" Well, I have a lot of paper work and I need to take my dog to the vet, but I could probably fit it in. Where are we going?"
" We're going over over to O'Malley's. What's your dog's name?"
" Huh? Oh! Ennuyeux. He's a German Shepard."
" Ennuyeux? Isn't that French for annoying?" Jane asked, puzzled but amazed that he remembered ANY French words. Lisbon shrugged and smiled.

" when did this happen?!" Vanpelt shrieked.
" shut up Vanpelt! It happened the first time we met, he just caught my eye and right then I knew I would never be the same." Lisbon said in a desperate whisper.
" holy god!!! This is so awesome! I need to go tell Wayne!"
" NO! You are not to tell anyone!" Lisbon's usually bright green eyes turned wild, fear and anger mixed into one emotion.
" ok, I swear, no one will know about this until you want them to." Vanpelt said, noting that Lisbon was never this self conscious.
" thank you." Lisbon wouldn't even look up, she wasn't sure she made the right choice telling Vanpelt. Lisbon stood in her office while Vanpelt walked back out to the team. Lisbon couldn't help but think how cute Jane looked lying on the couch. Lisbon chided herself, why couldn't she focus on something other than Jane for once?!

Soo this is my first (Jisbon) fan fic I'm writing, so I hope you like it! I'm not familiar with the ratings on fan fictions but... okay I'll tell it straight away... there's no sex in it. Also, sorry for my spelling errors! Hope you like it and please comment!

It was slowly getting dark and the dogs were tired of searching, so was the team. Van Pelt could see her boss getting more nervous every single second she stood there.

She didn't blame her tough, it wasn't every day when your colluege gets lost in the woods. Jane wanted to proove something again in a case, and said he'd find it in the woods.

In the bullpen, he tried to convince Lisbon to join her. All she said was that he could bite her, do whatever he wants and that she was going to solve a case. The last thing they saw of Patrick Jane, was him leaving the bullpen, not knowing if he was insulted or not. Knowing Jane, he'd get over it.

But when they heard that Lisbon was reporting him missing, they were doubting. "Did he just... ran away?" was Rigsby's first reaction. Then they all jumped out of their desk chairs and ran after Lisbon.

I just love that grin, don't you?
So, I made loads of picks to decide your favourite The Mentalist character, and I've decided to show the results in a countdown!

5: Wayne Rigsby
Coming in at number five, is the adorable Rigsby! Completely in love with Grace, he finally gets the girl in Red Scare. I wasn't expecting him to come out so soon, but you voted him out, and it's your votes that count!

4: Teresa Lisbon
In at number 4 is CBI's boss, Lisbon! This poor lady had a very troubled childhood, but has made a good reputation for herself, that Jane often seems to put in jeopardy. Number 4, Lisbon!

3: Grace Van Pelt
Just missing out on the final round, Van Pelt! Grace is the rookie of the team, but manages to prove her value to the team again and again. Third place goes to this superstitious sweetie!

2: Kimball Cho
Second place goes to former Avon Park Playboys gang member Cho! When we were first introduced to his character, I thought he was a boring nobody, but I'm glad I stuck through, I adore him, he just needed time to develop (Bert and Ernie ;D). You must agree with me, as everyone ensured he came second.

I figured it out, I just thought who would be the most unlikely suspect and the reporter had the most advantage over the case, but I figured it out! Okay so maybe there were others that aced the detective case solver (or whatever you call it), but sometimes I am left guessing, having two possible suspects. It's always cool when you favorite shows leave you thinking all the time.

I was just happy to have Jane confess his true feelings without any smart come on. The moment the camera's were all over his face and he became on edge, I thought of the last time he was on camera and the impact it left on his family life. This was a good episode for revealing things. Especially for Van Pelt and Rigsby, but did they really have to say they were 'lovers', how about 'in a relationship' the rest could have easily been implied.

What I admire most about The Mentalist is their consistency with good quality episodes. Every episode is clever, and details a reasonable twist, that certainly has something to do with their cast, because I am really impressed. I also appreciate the emotional connections within the series; it is not just a crime drama, but it has substance. We...

I knew it! I knew that Jane figured out the change in Rigsby and Van Pelt's relationship! He was just waiting for the right moment to use it to his advantage. Although I still thought he could have held out a little longer, but knowing Jane, the temptation was just killing him, he had to blurt it out.

As for Rigsby, denying it only admitted his guilt. Instead of "I don't know what you are talking about" he should have said "Me and Van Pelt, I wish, but you know that's against the rules Jane". Anything other than how well he handled the 'black mail' moment. Shame on you Jane, the amount of things Rigsby did to either keep your butt out of jail, or even for you to keep your job, and this is how you repay him! I suppose I expected nothing less. He did keep his secret in the end, and I doubt he would have really told unless provoked.

Did I sense a disconnection between Rigby and Van Pelt. Being ordered to sit down behind a computer screen, doing nothing but moving your finger tips, felt like a demotion for Rigsby. It was obvious the awkward eye glances suggested his dislike of his position, while Van Pelt got to do all the work, barely giving him any juicy...

A Lawyer who has devoted his entire life to his client, so much that he is sucked into the dangerous lifestyle of the same client he has sworn to keep out of jail. Sounds familiar? It could have easily been mistaken for an undercover cop changed from the heat of the dangerous-lifestyle and killed when things went wrong. It all in all tasted the same to a typical cop drama, the only difference was Jane and his ability to show the soft crust of a biker's hard surface.

The entire drama dealing with the son being the killer surrounded by the several other decoys was just washed away elements to broaden the plot. There always has to be an indirect assessment to the actual story; a love affair gone wrong and the sob story. I suspected the son initially while he seemed detached from everything and the mother was just too obvious a suspect. They actually kept the son out of the loop, which writers use to draw the viewers attention away from the actual culprit. It doesn't work if you know how the trick works. One would find themselves discovering who did it in a matter of minutes and would grow impatient waiting for the plot to unravel.

Something was definitely fishy wit that shrink who clearly went out of his way to council Lisbon. I imagined it was one of two things, he either had a wild crush on her and was waiting for the right moment to turn his sessions into some kind of mushy mushy vibe or he was up to something. Honestly I believed it was the first, the entire set up was kind of neat.

The classic part of this episode was watching Jane hypnotize Lisbon and take advantage of it. How did it benefit him to know whether or not she dances to Spice Girls. Although he didn't show it on the surface, he did care about Lisbon's fate as a detective. He lied for her when she claimed to be watching television the night of the murder. He even helped her smoke out the true culprit and clear the suspicions around her.

I knew Robin Tunney from 'Prison Break' and I admired her ability to create Veronica into the shape and form she was, but when I saw the scene with her dancing to Spice Girls music and acting as though she was high then to transform when the psychiatrist presented himself to be a hoax, I definitely applauded her. She has definitely shaped Lisbon into her own self. What added to the...

When there is a murder and thousands of suspects, you can count on Patrick Jane to narrow the odds. He even puts a time frame to when he would catch the culprit.

Things only get tricky when you're trying to solve a crime and politicians abuse their power to seal their footprints from the sand.

Jane always carries a self absorbed ego with him and this episode was not without his grim certainty and extraordinary detective skills to discover that the cleaner wasn't so much the mopping floors, cleaning the bathroom type and was more the type to cover up a bloody murder.

I found myself torn between deciphering 'who did it?'.
The Politician and her husband were the obvious villains, but just because they didn't have the occasional heat in their marriage it didn't mean they were guilty.
The stepbrother was the decoy thrown into distract us, so he was too obvious to be the one to kill his own step sister.
The old lover unmasked by Jane was another suspect, but he was also the politicians father and this webbed episode turned into an entire chase that would have your head spinning.

What happens when you take Patrick Jane off the Red John case, complete chaos. At least for now we have a silent fury and another episode filled with utter madness.

The Mentalist Season Premiere opened with that exact front and he was quite ready to pack his things up and go home before it dawned on him how much his colleagues meant to him, with Lisbon being the cherry on top.

This week's case file was the traditional million dollar rip off where Jane set a web to catch the unknowing culprit. Don't mind that it has been done several times before, but clever Jane seems to put a new spin to it which brought out the glamor in this mystery filled episode.

The one question we should ask is what Jane would do next? He's off the case and some stuck up snob wannabe has taken his place, what was that mysterious call about in the end scene? What was he up to?

Lisbon would need to put a tighter leash on him, because she's the only one he trusts to even put a leash and don't care what she said, I just don't like that crazy replacement guy. Poor Sam's going have his life psycho analyzed by Jane, maybe he should have just accepted...
