Mommy's coming back..

The Vampire Diaries has cast the most feared Original of them all. Alice Evans, known for her role on Lost as young Eloise Hawkings and from her recent guest appearances on Brothers & Sisters and The Mentalist, has been cast as the Original Mother, Esther. The matriarch of our bad-ass vamp brood is described as beautiful, strong and fierce and will debut in episode 8 via a flashback.
