He was standing by Pickett and Sutton just like he said he would be. "We're early.", Dally said. "Wadaya wanna do?" It was one of the few times Johnny bothered to talk. He looked over at me with the same look he gave me yesterday. I turned my head away and started to daydream. "...legal,man, let's get outa here." I realized that Dally was talking while I was daydreaming. I don't think they noticed though. We went over to the Dingo and talked to a couple of guys we know. While we were there two guys,a greaser and a hitchhiker, were gettin' in a fight. We left when the switchblades came out though. The cops would be coming soon. Nobody in thier right mind wants to be there when the fuzz show. We went to the drugstore and bought some cokes. We started eyeing things that were out in the open, then the manager told us to leave. He was too late, Dally walked out with two packs of Kools under his jacket. It was dark enough so we went over to sneak into the Nightly Double. It wasn't to hard, all we did was crawl under a fence. I'm surprised most people don't do it. We walked over to where the chairs were. We sat behind two girls. Uh-Oh, Dally's starting to stare at them. Maybe he won't... My thoughts were cut off when Dally started talking to the red head. "Are you a real red head?" I was wrong. He was up to his usual dirty tricks. "Some cute red head, huh?" "Sure.", Ponyboy said. He rolled his eyes at the back of Dally's head. Dally continued to bug her. He ended up puting his feet up on her chair. That really set her off. "Get your feet off my chair and shut your trap!" Dally continued to talk dirty. "You better stop or I'll call the cops." "Oh my my, you've got me scared to death. What am I gonna do?", Dally replied with a sarcastic tone and grin. "Why don't you leave us alone, be nice and leave us alone?" "I'm never nice. Can I intrest you in a coke?" "Get lost hood!" Dally just simply shrugged then strode off. "You gonna start in on us too?" She turned around and yelled at Ponyboy. It was my turn to start getting mad. "No.", Pony simply stated. "You don't look the type, what's your name?" Uh-Oh, a lot of people make fun of Ponyboy because of his name. "Ponyboy Curtis. This is my sister Carli and our friend Johnny." "Those are nice names." I was relieved that she didn't make fun of him. "This is Marcia and i'm Sherri, but everyone calls me Cherry because my hair." "We know, we go to the same school, your a cheerleader.", I said. "Ya, what are you guys doing hanging out with trash like Dallas Winston?" I could see Johnny getting a little mad now. Dally was Johnny's hero. "Dally's our buddy, we're greasers too. We're all friends.", Johnny said. It kind of surprised me how much he ws talking today. "I'm sorry, I didn't know." She really did sound like she was sorry. Dally came stalking back with an armful of cokes. He started handing them out to us. When he gave one to Cherry she through it in his face. "Fiery, huh? Just the way I like 'em." He put an arm around Cherry, but just then Johnny said, "Leave her alone Dal'." I stared at him shocked. "What? What did you to me? What did you say?", Dally said, his face turning red with anger. "Come on Dal'." Johnny was shaking with fear. Or was it anger? Dally got up and walked away angerly, his fists jammed in his pockets and his face red with anger. "Thank you, he had me scared to death." I turned back to see that Cherry was talking to Johnny. "You sure didn't show it. Ain't nobody talk to Dally like that." "From what I saw, you do.", Cherry said back, smiling. My mouth was wide open. This was the most Johnny talked to anyone in a long time. Two-Bit met up with us after Dally left. Actually he scared us half to death. The movie was over, so we started to walk the girls home. Then thier boyfriends showed up. Boy were we in trouble. "Cherry, what's going on, wadaya doin'?", The blond haired one said. "Just 'cuz we got a little drunk." "A little! You call reeling and pasing out in the streets a little? Bob, I told you i'm never going out with you when your drunk and I mean it!" So, his name is Bob. I followed Johnny's Gaze at Bob's hand and saw some rings. Then I remembered his scar... "That's no reason to go around with these bums." My face was red hot. Before I could say anything Two-Bit said, "Who you callin' bums pal?" "You!" They would have gotten into a fight if Cherry hadn't started freaking out. I don't know why I even thought of liking her. They drove away after Cherry told Ponyboy something. I didn't wanna know. We started walking to the lot when Two-Bit said he was gonna go out and get rip-roaring drunk. I told Ponyboy and Johnny that i was gonna go home and reminded him that he had to be home at 11:30. If he every came home late ther would be no telling what would happen.
