Haku narrating: I’m sorry I’m alive… a habit I keep on saying…everyone in my Country had such beautiful green hair…except me…with the white hair.
Haku walks down the street of the green country alone. She has no friends because of her white hair. She then makes her way to the forest where a big oak tree stands. She kneels in front of it. Haku: god, if you’re up there, I want to just ask you something: how come you made me so different? Please, if you can even hear me…all I want…all I need…is a friend. She bows her hand and closes her eyes. Haku: please…that’s all I need. She stands up and walks back to her home…where she doesn’t fit in. The next day… Haku is in front of the same oak tree again, praying to god. Suddenly, she hears a noise. She looks over and sees a girl, passed out on the grass. Like everyone else in her village, she had beautiful green hair. She rushes over to her. Haku: miss! Miss, are you alright? She turns the girl over and sees her face. Haku: p-p-princess Miku?! Miku opens her eyes and sees Haku Miku: *coughs* you saved my life, thank you so much. Haku: your welcome, Princess. Now tell me, why are you out here? Miku: I came here to pray to god. I always just needed a friend. *smiles* perhaps now I have one. Haku looks down Haku: why do you pity me so? Is it because I am so different than the others? Do you feel sorry for me? Miku hugs Haku Miku: no. you really are my friend. And a true friend at that. You are different than the others, but that makes you special. I wish I was like you. Haku hugs Miku back Miku: I know we both don’t fit in here. Let’s run away. Somewhere we will never be judged. Somewhere we can live on in peace. What do you say, Haku? Haku: where to? Is there really anywhere to run? Miku: yes, there is. We can go to the Yellow Country. I hear they do not judge people there by their color. If we can go there, we will never have any more problems again. Haku narrating: I believed her. I truly felt we would not have any other problems. But I was wrong…so very wrong. Haku and Miku run into town then to the local stables. They each pick out a horse and ride off, away from the Green Country with whatever money they had in their pockets. Haku: Miku, what do you suppose we do when we get to the Yellow Country? Look for a job? Miku: yes. We will need to get a job in order to survive and pay for ourselves. Haku: look at us; a runaway Princess and an outcast. Miku: I like to think of it as two runaway outcasts. Haku: but we are indeed very different. You are a princess, I am a townsperson. How could you possibly be an outcast? Miku just smiles and looks ahead. Haku stared at her, trying to figure out how they could be so similar… About twelve hours later they arrived at the Yellow Country. Haku: great, were here now where do you think we should look for a job? Miku: maybe just look around town a bit…see if any offerings come up. Haku: good idea. Haku gets off of her horse and accidently bumps into someone. Haku: I’m so sorry! The person takes off her hood and reveals pink hair, blue eyes and a black dress. Her name is Luka. Luka: it is quite alright. I have not seen you two around here before. Are you runaways, perhaps? Miku: yes, we are. Luka: what made you want to run away? Miku: we are both two outcasts. No one understands us. We wanted to live here, peacefully where people wouldn’t judge us. Luka: the Princess judges all. At least you’re not that bad…Princess Miku. Miku: how did you know? Luka: anyone would know Princess Miku’s infamous green hair anywhere. Miku: oh, I see. Haku: Miss Luka, do you know of any jobs for us? We must have one in order to survive. Luka: indeed I do. Haku: oh thank goodness. What is it? Luka: I am in need of two servants. I am a wealthy merchant lady. Would you two be interested? Haku: yes, we would. If it means surviving… Luka: perfect! Follow me. Luka leads Haku and Miku to her mansion. Luka: please do make yourself at home. After all, this will be your new home now. Haku: thank you, Miss Luka. Luka: you are very welcome. The servant uniforms are in a cupboard in the hallway. Miku and Haku look at each other then make their way to the hallway. Haku: Miku, are you sure about this? Miku: yes, I am. This is a necessary thing in order to survive. Without the money we would starve to death then we would die. Haku: I understand, Miku. Haku narrating: for many months we worked for that Miss Luka Megurine. Until that one day…their encounter twisted everything. Miku is walking down the hallway when she hears Luka calling for her. Miku: Yes, Miss Luka? Luka: I want to introduce you to someone. You can come out now! A boy with blue hair and blue eyes walks out and smiles at Miku. Luka: Miku this is Prince Kaito of the blue Country. He has been waiting to meet you. Kaito: hello, Princess. *bows* Miku: do not bow to me, your highness. I gave up the title of princess. Kaito: yes, but you are still as beautiful as one. Miku blushes and smiles Haku: Miku! Miku, where are you? Haku stops when she sees Kaito. Haku: Prince Kaito! *bows* hello. Kaito: Hello and you are…? Haku: oh forgive me, my name is Haku Yowane. Kaito: hello, Haku. It is nice to meet you. Haku narrating: at that time I remember seeing him look at Miku in a way no one had ever looked at me before. It was a look of love. She had it too… they then began to go out. After a few weeks of them going out every night, I found out the news… Miku: Haku! Haku, I have something to tell you! Haku: what is it, Miku? Miku: guess what Kaito asked me tonight! Haku: what? Miku shows Haku a ring on her finger Haku: he asked you to marry him?! Did you say yes? Miku: obviously or I wouldn’t be wearing this ring now would I? Haku: congrats, Miku! Miku: thanks! The next morning… Miku: hey Haku. Haku, wake up. I have to tell you something. Haku opens her eyes and sits up Haku: what? Miku: I and Kaito are leaving this morning. Not that far, just getting our own house. We will still be here in the Yellow Country though. Haku: and when did you guys decide this?! Miku: last night. I forgot to tell you because I was too happy… Haku: fine, just leave then! You obviously don’t care about me. Miku: that’s not it. That’s not it at all, Haku. You are still my friend and that’s all that matters. Haku: just go already. Just prove to me that you’re really going to move. Miku nods Miku: goodbye Haku. Haku narrating: I didn’t really want her to go. A few days after they left, I had found out terrible news… Princess Rin had caused war between the Green Country and the Yellow Country because of her jealousy towards Miku. I suddenly regretted the words I had said to her. Haku: what?! No, she can’t do that! Did she really command such a thing?! Luka: yes, she did Haku. Every single one of them will be killed… Haku narrating: Princess Rin had commanded everyone with Green hair would be killed by her army. I feared for Miku’s life. I knew I had to help her run away. Haku runs to Miku and Kaito’s house and knocks on the door. Kaito answers. Haku: is Miku here?! Kaito: no, she’s not. She went berry picking in the woods. Haku: no! Haku turns around towards the forest and takes off running towards it Haku: I promise Miku…I promise…I won’t let you die! Haku stops running when she sees Miku with a blonde haired boy. Haku narrating: when I first saw him, I mistook him for Princess Rin. When I looked closer, I saw it was her twin brother, Len. Len: it is she who commands this…my sister. *pulls out dagger* Haku narrating: Miku didn’t even fight off the blade. She just stood there and waited to be killed. She really did love Len. And he loved her back. I could tell it pained him to kill her. That’s why I didn’t blame him…but I blamed Princess Rin. I watched her die…Miku. I watched sadly as she took her last breath in his arms. Then, I did what any ordinary person would do…I ran. Haku: I have to Tell Kaito! I have to tell him of Miku’s death. Haku stops running and remembers the way Miku had hugged Len. Haku: or do I really? She loved Len more than Kaito. If I tell him that Miku had died with her true love he would know that she didn’t love him. I can’t tell him, not now. Miku wouldn’t want me to. Haku then runs back to Luka’s mansion Haku: I’m leaving! I don’t want to stay here anymore! I’m leaving! Luka: why? Haku: don’t ask me questions! Haku then runs upstairs and quickly gets her things packed and runs out the door. Haku: bye Luka. Haku then runs and rents a cart with two horses and speeds off toward the port. Haku: there is a chapel for sell there. I may be able to buy it with all of the money I have saved up over the years. She makes the horses go faster. When she got there, she went inside the old abandoned chapel and found everything in place. Haku: I’ll live here. I can’t let anyone know that I saw Miku’s death. I have to stay here. Haku narrating: the next day I remember getting the horrible news… Haku: no! No, it can’t be true! Why would she do something like this? This is pure evil! Haku narrating: Princess Rin’s army had killed everyone with green hair. Everyone from my home was dead…except me with the white hair. Haku: no! No, this can’t be happening! No! The next night… Haku is listening to two people gossip on the beach. Their names are Gakupo and Akita. Akita: yes, she was captured yesterday. Gakupo: it’s our entire fault…we left and didn’t defend the castle. Akita: she is to be executed tonight. Haku looks at them with a gleam in her eye Haku: so, Princess Rin has been captured huh? And she’s going to be killed? Good! I want to see her die! I have to hurry, I must see her die! For Miku! She then rides her cart to the castle. Within ten minutes, she is there. They bring out the Princess and put her head through the hole in the block. Haku watches with happy eyes. Meiko: we are gathered here today to watch the killing of evil! The crowd cheers including Haku. Rin: oh. It’s tea time. She smirks just as the blade falls down. The crowd cheers as her head rolls off of her body. Haku: you got what you deserve… When Haku is getting her cart ready to go to the chapel by the port, a boy with his hood covering his face walks up to her and hands her a bag of gold coins. Boy: my name is Len Kagamine; may I please have a ride to the port? Haku: sure, hope on. Len gets on the cart and Haku takes off towards the port. Then, they arrive. Haku: bye Len! I hope we can meet again some other time! Len just walks away not saying anything. Haku walks to the chapel and sits down in a chair. She is thinking about the Princess’s death. Then, she hears a voice. She walks to the confession box where she sees Len kneeling, but he is wearing a dress. Then, she realizes it is not Len. She listens to what she is saying… Rin: lord, I have sinned…badly. Please forgive me. I have killed and let someone be killed…I should have died with honor. I’m so sorry, god. I’m so sorry! Haku: she truly is the daughter of evil… Haku then runs off into another room and grabs a dagger and goes back to the confession box. But she sees there is no one there. She runs outside and sees Rin throw a bottle into the sea. Rin: flow along…little wish. With anger in her eyes, Haku approaches her. She stops just behind her. Rin doesn’t even notice Haku is standing behind her. Haku raises the dagger. And gets ready to swing it down… Haku narrating: Miku, there is something I must apologize to you. I could not take your revenge. She was the girl I was back then…alone in the world. I am sorry I am alive…a habit I keep on saying…perhaps, someday we will be together again… Now, as you know, what Rin did was not very kind. Kindness is also a key to surviving. So, I have a challenge for you. Start a chain reaction. A chain reaction of kindness. Anyone can start a chain reaction. There was almost no kindness in this story, and so I have a question for you: who do you think is responsible for causing this mess between all of the countries? Explain why. |

There was no one character to blame... All of them carry the weight. It's hard for me to explain but... Each of them in one way or another was actually greedy... Not nessacarily for money but their own wants. They all gave in to that greed, and it consumed the world they lived in... Just my opinion though.
