Netflix orders Queen Elizabeth II drama \'The Crown\'

promises Queen Elizabeth II (Claire Foy) will learn a hard lesson in the first 10 years of her reign.

is a new period drama about the life of the queen. Each season will track about a decade of her rule starting in the late 1940s. The monarchy will not be easy on her marriage to Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburg (Matt Smith), and there will be times when she’ll have to choose between the two.
