The Vampire Diaries Question

Is anybody ells excited about Damon being in love with Elena.

I screamed when she said that, they just have this relationship that you can tell that they love each other but they also but heads so that's a good thing, But I'm not sure if I'm just excited because of that or because I was just right about Damon being in love with her. I don't want Elena and Stephan to break up but at the same time I do and I so do not want history repeating it's self.
Stephan and Elena belong together better in the book series.

Finally all my friends called my last night yelling at because I cursed the show because I kept telling them the Damon was in love with Elena they yelled at me all night. I thought I was the only one.

You don't know that, I don't think she's ever going to leave Stephan unless Damon compells her but I don't think he could everdo that to her.
