Elena as a vampire

I am so worried about my girl!! Elena Gilbert never wanted to be a vampire; she wanted a human life with children and then died in peace. Her Father, Grayson Gilbert was a conceal member. Yes, she loves Stefan and Damon, but she didn’t want to become a vampire :( Elena is such an inspiration for me as a human, after all she went through, she was still so strong and kind, caring, selfless and loving… Now, that she is not human anymore, I’m afraid she will become like Katherine, who was a good person when she was human, when she was Katarina Petrova.
Katherine Pierce is a thoroughly different “person”. Why makes her a vampire now? Why? I know that she will be one, sooner or later to be with one of the brothers but I didn’t expect so soon! I just hope she will still be as kind as she used to be!
Don’t take me wrong, I love Katherine but I do not want Elena to turn off her humanity!!

I think that Elena will be a bit like Caroline. A mess at first, but gradually go back to the way she was as a human. We don't need to worry about her turning off her emotions (at least in the long run). However, I wish Caroline was a bit more vampirey.

Now theres really no stopping her from doing a katherine and going off on her own, not saying she will cause where would TVD be then haha! It happens in the 4th book of many, so relatively early on as well :( hopefully bonnie will magic up some spell and make her human.... dream on

First off, and most importantly, it's not what she wanted, she never wanted to be a vampire. Second, I liked that, with all the vampires and witches and whatnot in this show, the main character was human (yes, she's supernatural because she's the Petrova doppelganger, but she was still human). Now, it seems like Matt and Jeremy are going to be the only human characters, and that's just not right, we need more humans to balance out the supernatural. The show would be boring if every single major character was supernatural.
