Stefan stood at the tip of his window ready to jump. Zipping his bag, he threw it on his back. Taking his journal, what most would prefer be called a dairy. He took his pen so that he could write his last words before he left to begin his new life chapter.

“Today, danger approaches and I can't let her get too close to it. Though I'm just as dangerous, I want to make this work...because, I just have to know her. And as dark as this world is for me..I need some form of light and after what she's been through, so does she." He says repeating his written words and he smiled at his work and tossed his journal on his desk. Looking ahead he jumped.

Location: Gilbert house

Elena sat on her before writing her in her diary looking for the exact words that would describe her. The words she needed to start her day. For a second she was frozen till she her pen to the paper and started writing.

Pilot

Location: Woods

“For over a century, I lived in secret,” Stefan says as he writes in his journal. The ink bleed along the paper that formed his very words as he spoke but he stopped. “No, no,” he says crossing out the sentence that was just written.

He shook his head side to side with displeasure at his work. This writing was a form of art to him and yet it look like some amateur's poetry work. So he tore out the page and tossed it in the trash can and eagerly turned back to his work. Speaking to himself once again, he found his place of peace and began to write over.

Elena opened her eyes and gasped for air. She sat up and pulled the threads on her body. She climbed out of bed and opened the door.
She covered her ears when she heard dozens of shoes stepping on the floor, people talking as if they were screaming through a megaphone.
“Shut up!” she screamed and a few staff members turned around.
“Are you alright, miss?” a nurse asked. Elena shook her head confused. She leaned against the room. Everything was a blur. “I’ll get a doctor” the nurse and she looked around to find one.
Elena hurried away. She was hungry. She needed to eat something or she would die. She braked when she heard something pump and she rotated her head. She was at the staff’s room. She opened the door and saw Meredith sitting on the couch. She was kind of pale.
Elena walked towards her, her eyes on Meredith’s neck. She could see Meredith’s veins pumping. When she stood right in front of her Meredith looked up.
“Elena” she exclaimed weak. “Don’t sneak up on me like that”
