As the current season of Downton Abbey draws to a conclusion this weekend, it has been hotly speculated that someone from the much loved drama faces a cull. Bookies are predicting scheming Thomas Barrow is favourite to be killed off - if this is the case.
Bookies William Hill have given the butler odds of 5/2 at being the next major character to die, followed by Bates with chances of 9/2. While Maggie Smith's Dowager Countess of Grantham has odds of 7/1.
“Thomas’s scheming has made him enemy number one both on and off the screen so there won’t be many tears if he is the next to get the chop,” explained William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams, reports Metro.
